Video Description:
This video is my first quick tip video in my series of teaching calligraphy for beginners. This is to show how to create your own calligraphy tools from items you have laying around the house. This video specifically showcases blackletter calligraphy and the two pencil trick.

It's something i was taught many years ago by my Calligraphy teacher, but well done, enjoyed your tutorial.
I learned calligraphy with a calligraphy marker . The marker helps it allows for rookie errors so that when you switch to ink you already know the letter formation

ATTENTION: Use headphones or watch on a PC if you want to hear the Audio. Weird bug I know, I have fixed this in newer vids though! :)

I think this is a good idea to build letters with.... or even for those wanting to learn how to use a parallel pen. Use your drawings as a coloring book ....keep pen inside lines and erase pencil when done. Help with keeping pen at a 45 angle. After a week you wont need the pencil anympre.
It looks so easy. But that is because you are gifted. But for those not similarly gifted, the very ease with which you do it is so unimaginable.
+car it's something you just have to practice. No one starts good at something. If you want to write calligraphy you must practice. I started realllly bad now I'm ok

But what about the lenght, for there is of course a difference between eg the D and J etc. I always supposed the lenght would be 5, 7 or 8 times the width of the two pencils, or am I mistaken? So just like the different nibs of (dip) pen.

+paul 10582 it's a variant of gothic calligraphy. Look up Fraktur or Gothic it should be what your looking for
