As a rock guitarist for more than 45 years I can honestly say that other than Gary Moore and Jeff Healy, I've never heard such godlike mastery of voice and instrument as Frank! An absolute giant of a player and a really nice guy to boot.

@@leechild4655 The Jimi channel is real. It's not Jimi though it's the spirit you channel everyone has access. I can channel the same vibe after playing for 40 years. It's the blues at its core. It comes from growing up listening to music created by people channeling this spirit. It's feeling more than anything else. You get so into it you become the spirit and you can play what you hear in your head. I can play Jimi note for note or I can play "like" Jimi it becomes the same thing. I'm not claiming to be Jimi but I do know I can sound a lot like him and it's not technical it's a feeling. Sounding like him is more rewarding than trying too hard to sound exactly like him. Eric Johnson is the master or masters when it comes to Jimi channel.

Frank technical ability is second to no one! The covers he plays are better than the originals, and his own songs showcase his mastery of the guitar.Complex chords and runs are awesome, and to sing like he does while playing is another overlooked talent.Jimi opened the door to what was possible with an electric guitar, and Frank kicked that door down and showed even more what could be done with one! He is a technical genious, his SG is like no other,it's so heavily modded and uses Fender single coil style pick ups instead of the Gibson style, that's part of where his awesome tone comes from, but he also makes his own pedals and amps! Check out his live interviews, especially one from everyoneLovesGuitar,it's over two hours long, but you'll see just how cool and smart he is,as well as being one of the nicest guys you'll ever listen to.Wings of Pegasus has a live interview with him,and again you'll see what a smart and cool man he is!

It's not shredding, he's playing with feel. Guitarists who shred play a thousand notes a second and it sounds like me mechanical.
MARINO has soul and other Guitarists with same DNA..
      Voila 😎👍

@RPG 808 The term shredding is over rated . For the sake of argument, we all know that MARINO is an EXCELLENT guitarist and very tasteful 😎✌

Great cover of an intense blues opus. My favorite Frank. Marino, though is the songs he penned himself. Fantastic lyricist as well as an incredible guitar player. Psychedelic Jazz, rock, hard hitting and working the Blues, like another one of his heroes. Johnny Winter. Frank stands alone, in the pantheon of greats.

When I was a teenager, he used to play in school gymnasiums In Ville Lasalle. We wouldn't miss Mahogany Rush. It was a happening for us. Thank's Frank ! Later on, he did the first act before John Mayall, at the Montreal Forum (1972). And of course, we were there, my friends and myself !!!

Frank is The Man. He plays each phrase like it's a mystical incantation. The atmosphere is quiet and reverent as a church while the high priest of seventies-era guitar transfixes even those like me just listening to the recording. Having seen him have this effect on audiences in person, time after time starting in 1980, it never fails to wow me.

One of the best ! Got to see him back in 82 with Angel city, Humble pie and Missouri he pretty much blew them off of the stage ! There was some Humble pie fans in front of us and when he came out and did Electric Reflections of War they were standing there with their jaws dropped !
