    I did mine today in my 2014 Tundra…and rest assured NONE of this happened so smoothly for me. Haha.

    Struggling to figure out the correct torque values for my 2019. Front caliper bolts and rear caliper and slide pin bolts. Some post were saying 133ft/lbs!! Seems so high

    I wish my pins came out that easy.
    Even with a brass punch I deformed the end enough I had to work it with a file it get it out after getting it loose enough to rotate.

    Great video. Bought my 2007 SR5 TSS in 2018 and have never touched the brakes. I’ve have had a shimmy at 61mph for a few months now. Apparently if you tow a lot (like me) the rotors warp. My pads and rotors looked just like yours.
    Bring a Texas only truck, my disassembly was identical to yours. I feel bad for all the northern people commenting in here about rusty parts. Our summers suck, but man our winters are mild!
    Great video, thank you for the time and effort to further other’s knowledge

    i have a 2017 tundra, going to be doing the brakes as well, do i have to bleed the brakes or can i just open the brake cap on the brake reservoir?

    • @MrRangerZr1
      @MrRangerZr1  23 дня назад +2

      Best to bleed the brakes while you're changing the brakes

      It was almost a great idea only reason it wasn’t is that I’m 68 years old and have always done my own breaks and I did not think of that . Walked around looking for a sea clamp for 20 minutes.

      Follow up, I did mine this evening. I lucked out my pins slid out with minimal effort. However, pushing the pistons back in with the old pads was unsuccessful. Had to use the good ol C clamps.
      I am so glad you did a close up of the springs. That was a huge help.

    Do I need to open the brake fluid reservoir when compressing the piston? I heard it will push brake fluid back and cause a leak.

    om the pad that metal tab is that just a feeler for when the pad gets low? and does it matter which side its on?

    • @MrRangerZr1
      @MrRangerZr1  4 месяца назад

      When the pads get to the level of the tab it'll screech when you hit the brakes letting you know it's time to change the brakes. Orientation does matter.

    Just my luck. The only video I found that shows a hub assembly that looks like mine, but it's about replacing rotors and so doesn't have the part number for the Hub/bearing assembly (which I can't seem to find). LOL Anyway....good job on the video. Informative.
