Looks awesome Chris 🤝
Thanks brother , appreciate it
Car looks great time to ride 👍👍
25:50 I like the looks of that supercharger. Looks like a rising rate FPR for fuel enrichment. Gonna be good to get it complete! Thanks for sharing.
It's practically done paint wise now on to the mechanics its looking sweet Chris bet you cant wait to get it on the rd 👏👏👏👏
I’m so anxious to drive it! Especially when I install that supercharger
Nice looking good 👍 did you ever notice they had adhesive on those moldings when you removed them kinda strange I guy to keep them in place
Yes a very little adhesive but some didn’t have almost any which was strange
Hi Chris, you should be proud of what you have done to the Civic as I don't think you would get a better job if it was done at a body shop, the parts you sprayed with the Walcom came out mint, do you think it's a better gun than the DV1S? I've only got 1 Walcom and that's the Slim Kombat HVLP which is a good gun for base.
It will make a big difference when you get the supercharger on the engine it will have more pull throughout the rev range unlike a turbo where it lags at low rpm, my Merc SLK is supercharged and it sounds really nice when it gets warmed up👌looking forward to the next instalment🙏🙏👍John UK.
I’m thinking of doing. Video on comparing the two , they are very different and the same in many ways
Yeah good idea Chris, there are quite a few differences between the 2 guns so it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on them and it might help others on here👍
Damm bro you do your painting in your garage apartment complex and no one complaint I have a house with a big back yard and I was trying to paint my bike gas tank nothing big and some Dutch neighbors call the cops on me
I keep it low key and don’t paint all the time , but I also paint in a parking lot so the fumes aren’t reaching the houses
We live in France, have a Spy Racing quad which after 11 years needs a repaint. Wanted to use Mazda 41 soul red, do you have any tips or advice please? Would using a bright aluminium base coat have any effect on the final appearance?
That color is one of the hardest colors to paint , I believe the base color is a pinkish bronze base , the aluminum base you are suggesting is what they use for those color , 46v and 41v are essentially the same color but different color one is much deeper color
Nice! That feeling when paint work is all done 🥹
It feels sooo damn good!
Always 🔥job. Which gun and regulator are you using?
For the mini gun I used the walcom ego 190 carbonio I’ll be doing a review on it soon
@@Mechaniclyfe nice! what was the gun before that one
@@Harlo86 tekna primer gun (discontinued)
I also have a 1997 Honda Civic that I want to paint but I’m wondering is a 20 gallon air compressor from harbor freight is good enough to get the job done
It should be ok as long as you use a gun that uses low cfm. Or paint small parts at a time
Mechanic lyfe thanks on the advice. I will start doing my own car paint on my own is ridiculous the body shops in my area wants to charge I when to 3 different place and they all quoted me over 3k for a full paint job on my 1997 civic ex doing it my self I will spend around 1500 on materials paint paint guns and air compressor can’t beat that 👍🏼
Not bad if you can do it for that price
How many gallons is your air compressor?
I have a 30 gallon compressor
how can you use the pro lite with a 30g air commpsor i can't hold 30psi with my pro lite with a 30g my cfm is 6.4@ 90psi and 7.5 cfm at 40psi with a TE20 air cap
Should be able to , I use 25 psi a bit lower, sprays good still at that psi, key is to keep it short and sweet , you may be spraying too slow and using a lot of air try more fluid and faster speed to utilize the most out of the air you have
@@Mechaniclyfe yeah I’ll give 25 psi a try I’m just use to my other spray guns that are HTE spraying at 30psi for clear so I thought the pro lite would be the same but hooked it up tired at 30psi wouldn’t hold so put it back in the box been sitting for over a year not being used
I was looking into urechem products, they ship there products to California regardless of our Voc laws? I notice ur red paint was there non voc paint
It depends on the zoning in your area some are more stringent than others
@@Mechaniclyfe where u at in Cali? Im in the Bay Area
@@Whiteboy_707 I’m in the Orange County area
