Wow and it doesn’t look horrible like most other tuners do to their rangers. I’m 100% souping up the engine in my 2023 ford ranger sport v6, once I get my hands on it.
The V6s are very impressive. However, currently, there are no tuning options available for them. Hopefully we'll be able to tune them in the near future though!
no - that's an estimate, at the engine. Dynos read at the wheels. So the figures are all different! We have videos on this on our RUclips channel that you can watch & learn about it all :)
Hey guys. Great video, great work and amazing result! Would you guys be able to do a remote tune? I am not in Australia and sadly there isn't so far any tuner for diesel engine where I am but I can have access to a dyno.
Hi. Ben from the uk. We have I believe the same engine in our rangers. My mondeo 2.0 diesel single turbo is at 232bhp with a hybrid turbo and intercooler. I was thinking to put a 3.2 in my mondeo but Why are the numbers so low from a 3.2 diesel? Is there anymore room there for an improvement on 151kw?
Hi Ashely. This is why we talk in PERCENTAGES, not actual figures. All dynos read differently & no car will ever put out the same figures on two different power runs. There are a LOT of factors involved that impact dyno figures & we have done a few videos on this subject on our channel. This is why dynos are tuning tools only - the most accurate way of measuring diesel gains is working out the difference in percentage from when it was standard, to after the work/tune was done.
Lots of things Chris! A custom dyno tune to suit towing is far different to an all-out power tune. This is why it's important that if you get your car tuned, then your tuner concentrates on what you use your car for & custom tunes it properly. Rather than just load a pre-done tune file that was done on another car, into your ECU - that is when you'll have issues!
@@UltimateDieselTuning . This is not where they should be fitted. If they are "very efficient", that means they will reject even more heat into the intercooler, reducing engine performance significantly at low rpm/high load (4wd/sand etc) and heat soaking the intercooler at idle. There have been many tests done on this. Other kits for a Ranger allow for fitment in front of the lower radiator, even with a larger intercooler.
@@theowenssailingdiary5239 so, pretty sure the manufacturer of these oil coolers has got it correct. If they didn't have their fitment position correct then not only us would have problems with them, but the other hundreds of their customers would as well.

Hi mate. No, not at all - we have seen several of these 3.2L engines that have not been tuned crack pistons. It's generally caused by a failed injector, which has nothing to do with extra boost pressure from a tune, it's just component failure. It's a known fault with these engines unfortunately.

How much did all that cost?
what about the fuel consumption after the modifications?
Hi mate, that will always vary & depend on the driver's driving style.
How much for the transmission cooler? And can you ship to Philippines?
Could you post a video of what it sounds like before and after

i like the look of everything in this package except the trans cooler being in front of the intercooler :O
That is where the coolers are designed to be fitted. There is no obstruction of airflow to the intercooler as they are very efficient in their design.

theyre also dyno'd in whatever gear doesn't give a torque multiplication ie 1:1 and that gear is dependent on each different box's ratios

Why was the car so down on power when they brought it in? It made your gains seem a lot higher than it should.
This was over 1 year ago now, so unsure. They usually make around a 50% gain in torque with an Ultimate Torque Package, as Rob does say in this video.
