When I installed the IGLA in Feb, 2023 they don't have the update firmware for the 2023 Lexus RX since it is new generation this year. They installed a temporary pin code for me and I have to wait 5 months for the updated firmware for the 2023 RX. I have to go back second time to update to the new firmware. Maybe for this, they gave me a discounted price. I think their regular price is $1000 to $1100 + HST. Their service is excellent.

Got mine installed a few months ago at Car Systems Installations in North York for $1000 + HST. Easy to use and I no longer worry when I have to park my car in public spaces. Lowered my insurance premiums by $40 which is also a nice bonus. Thank you so much Sonduren for recommending me the IGLA when I commented on one of your videos a few months ago asking about theft concerns.
Instead spending $899 on a kit like this, install a hidden ignition killswitch in the car. Or get it done at a shop for a fraction of that. More effective, as quick, much cheaper. Also, the 'Valet Fob' might prove to be weak to frequency matching attacks. Its not 100% proof, come on..

Thanks Sonduren , I had this system installed seven months ago, I was told that every time the dealer would do a software update on the vehicle, the anti theft system file would get erased and will stop working. I have to take back to installer to flash the file again to make it work.
Is the valet key linked only to the installed system? Can a master fob key be programmed from the signal the valet fob emits? Is this a weak link in this system? 🤔
What if they try to tow the car or use a flatbed truck? Use a concealed fuel shutoff valve instead, or require fingerprint recognition for engine start only.
interesting product … thanks for the video. any ideas whether the installation would void the Lexus manufacturers warranty if you end up having electrical issues with your NX later?
It does not void warranty. A manufacturer would have to prove it was caused by the installation specifically. Important to get it installed at a reputable shop.
Manufacturers need to install PIN code devices or 2FA from the factory. It's crazy that it's been known how easy it is to steal cars now for years, and they've done NOTHING to prevent it. Tesla's the only one, as far as I know.
