Let's be honest, a well fed core shits on their "counters" if it's not a hard counter. U think a zeus gunna kill a satanic, skadi, Bkb, pike, butterfly, rapier terrorblade? Lol.

I can't counterpick when I'm choosing first 😭😭
you could use one of those apps which tell you what the enemy is picking. Or you could plan with your team if you can. If your cores are picking heroes that are countered by some heroes, you pick counters to those heroes, so you can help out your core.
For real, at my rank pos5 is always forced to be picked first or you're reported lol. When I saw this video what I heard is, "Anyone who watches this video will now know what carry counters you."
Not a problem for me, in my SEA unranked pubs everyone will first pick PA Sniper Joker Jug etc.

supports are actually picked before the cores so it's usually the other way around sometimes.
i was just about to say the same thing lol, supports are first pick so how tf we can counter their cores?
@@niazijr If you payed attention, most of the supports counter META heroes, so after looking at banned cores, see which meta cores are left then pick supports which are good against the ones that may be picked.
This is relative guys, sometimes a very meta hero gets picked in the first phase (usually in captain's mode), or you can make a flex pick, like, let's say, a pugna, in the first phase, and all of the sudden it has a great matchup in mid, so you can leave it mid and last pick the perfect position 4 that trashes the enemy carry
you're mmr might be 5k or lower

Ogre magi is definitely a support you cant go wrong with. But Grimstroke is someone i've been looking into so thanks for the suggestion. I am currently on a 20 win streak for ranked thanks to your tips and tricks. From Guardian V to Crusader III and hopefully Archon soon.

Speed, what are your top lane supports that could zone/shut down your enemy in the laning phase?
Btw, these are the biggest 3 impacts of your videos on my games:
1. i can now deal damage in laning as a support while taking zero to minimal damage back
2. i am more likely to recognize situations where i need to soak damage/take aggro from enemy heroes to guarantee my core can stay in lane and farm while avoiding lethal damage myself.
3. I always have so much fun to play pos4 or pos5 because i really feel like enabling my carry or offlane.
all in large part due to your guide on positioning during laning. seriously mindblowing the first time i watched a vid from you, man. I reached Divine at 1 point.

I am very new to DOTA, guys. When playing support, what are our procedures and options for information, such as all real time data on buffs, debuffs on our cores and enemies, what spells are being cast by our enemies and so on. Do we have add-ons available similar to WoW pvp add ons?
I really love the video, i'm almost 5k and i think the big weakness of players in this bracket is their draft abilities.

I really would like to add winter wyvern for lycan aswell
Not laning wise but purely for the fact that you just ult anyone around his units including him and its an instant death. You can be a lvl 6 wyvern against a lvl 17 lycan and you can easily kill him.

U talked about heroes that are good against illusions ..well.. Jakiro is one of.my top top supp. heroes and i'm pretty much smashingnheroes like CK & PL when u get the right skills in the skill tree and get also kaya, improve your ult etc.
How about The Anti maze and PA and Phantom lancer??
Winter wyvern and batrider are good VS Mars because of magic dmg and because they can just fly out arena. Night stalker too.
Speed, can you give us a guide on what to pick that's good overall for every position? I'm asking this because in pubs (im currently 4.2k mmr), the supports usually pick first followed by offlane, then safe, then mid. So yes these heroes counter carries in this guide but generally you won't be able to do that.

For me the best counter for Carry whos physical type is Winter Wyvern and Omni knight; My most favorite hero is cm idk I just like her haha. Aa, grim, es, and disruptor were situational picks -- like AA is best counter for Slark and Alchemist.
It always feel so good when you use winter's curse on enemy's support xD [I always use my ult wisely tho]

How about wraith king? He has high win rate in crusader bracket and i often meet with wk picker.
Witchdoctor for Lycan as well? The cask stun lasts longer on non-hero units.

i feel its hard to pick bane with this new pick phase. Since position 5/4 always have to pick first i cant pick bane to counter their carry/mid

Well, in my mmr bracket if you suggest to pick supports after the cores, you are in for a fun "conversation" with your teammates.
The fact that supports can couter cores just isn't very common it seems.

just pick a debuff hero against mk like invoker sup or oracle . if u go voker sup always remember save ur tornado until jingu on mk comes up or use 1st oracle whenever jingu comes up. jingu is debuffable so yea

Basically anything that has burst magical damage is good. WR, QoP, Zeus, Skywrath.
Maybe u forgot that oracle the most hated support by right click carry. He has disarm, can lock u down using skill1, and when they go on you or your teammates just ult and give salve.

If you are a support you usually are bullied into picking first in ranked roles. So it's impossible to counter pick. What would be more useful is an 'item counters for supports against top 10 cores' because this is more possible.

As a carry player, this video was helpful to avoid picking into counters I hadn't thought of. But yea, not particularly helpful often for supports
Reeew HT then play the game properly lol it doesn’t matter what order it is for supports or carries you just pick whoever wants to pick first it could be the carry first
most strong carry now is around 10 hero that being mentioned in video above so you can figure it out by yourself if u want to 1/2nd pick support

An honorable mention against void spirit and other caster cores would be silencer since... he silences. Really good if your team is the one ganking
VS common item is Euls, but it depends on the player who'd pick silencer, if he is good at timings.
How about Wyvern counter for Lycan.
His damage is physical, which WW can negate.
U can ult Lycan, n his buddies will kill him if he's not careful.

@@blackman5406 nah i think he is good in the lane. His e does a nice amount a dmg and its not that much mana. That plus the stun and u can get ez kills with ur carry
