Hi Speed I have a suggestion for you on a new video here it is maybe you have connections that are better than the forums: Supports who agree with me share your concerns in the Dota forum suggestions to further improve the play-ability of the hard support role because SUPPORT KILLS DON'T MATTER and you should not be getting abuse for playing your role and not getting kills because that's the carries role and even if you do get kills that shouldn't be the focus of the role and that's why it shouldn't count on your score and this will for example prevent carry CM players from flooding games. The other examples are IO teleports to save carries we want those so incentivize that don't penalize that by having players worry about their kill and death disparity. Summary: Remember when couriers used to cost 200 gold and wards at 100 a pop and with what gold was that role going to pull that off; with it's starting gold but that would leave you with 300 gold to buy healing items only and no boots which means more deaths and more reports yep. So how would work around that back then well yeah would have to share farm or go jungle which oh you guessed it more reports-oh what a fun role! I went to the forums and rallied and a month or two later those changes were made so your welcome guess what action can make a difference! Dota is finally beginning to understand that supports are very different from carries and require different changes to the game for that role. Rod of Atos is the Necro counter. Necrophos is slow, and he's even slower when he uses Ghost Shroud. Generally a Necrophos will outlast his team. And this means he's usually the only one that escapes. A Rod of Atos takes care of this as he won't be able to escape, will waste his Shroud and die to right clicks. Gyrocopter is a good Necro counter, since you deal a lot of Magical Damage with your Barrage and your Ulti. Also you get BKB fairly early with Gyro and you also get rid of the rest of the team surrounding Necro during teamfights. This allows your team to pick him off after wiping the rest of the team.
I've been playing mid AA since the chilling touch rework. He puts out absolutely bonkers damage but is very vulnerable to being jumped on. Once he hits 6 he can solokill his lane opponent or gank every 40 seconds.
Slark and Venomancer are also good Bristle and DK counters. Slark because he takes away all his tankiness, and since DK is generally a frontline tank, he will sap a lot of Essence Shift from him. Also Slark can dispel his stun and is highly mobile. The same applies against Bristle, Slark's nowadays go Diffusal, so not only he will steal Stats he will also steal his mana. As for Veno, the hero has inbuilt negative HP bonus with Poison Sting and he can easily fit a Spirit Vessel in his kit. Also his Ulti last way more than what a BKB can last and he can make them slower with his Q and his Wards.
Isn't bloodseeker considered a good and a classic counter to lycan? I'm 4.3k anyway, picked it safelane vs offlane lycan and despite losing it worked well
Unfortunately the counter against Lycan is to ban Lycan. The hero is too effective at what he does. He needs more than 1 counter and even items to get countered. There's a reason this hero has an insane win rate, is because he's a niche pick. You won't ever see him in a match where he will potentially get countered. And if he gets countered, he requires a huge team effort to put him under control. He can flashfarm, he can split push and he can even teamfight. Considering he generally goes Helm + Necro 3 The key is probably taking care of him before he gets a BKB. Because that is the point of no return.
My favorite Necro counter is Shadow Demon. You can save your ally from Reaper's Scythe, your ult prevents him from popping ghost shroud, soul catcher reduces his overall HP and you do high burst damage after a longer fight with Shadow Poison.
Considering mid matchups, i would say TA (which is always a solid mid hero regardless) can deal with MK. Sure the laning stage could be annoying, but you have your Shield to tank through Jingu Mastery, you are a Desolator picker + you also have a lot of Burst Negative Armor. And you just need 3 item to start killing enemies. Desolator, Blink and BKB. Personally the match could go both ways. But more often than not, the TA will out damage the MK even if he has Jingu Mastery.

And naga has high base armour, meaning Lycan and his units struggle to kill the illusions, and riptide shreds Lycan and his units. Naga can cut waves, split push and fight Lycan with relative ease once she has manta (which is better to rush than diffusal vs Lycan.) Song and net make Lycan a ult much less effective. I play both Lycan and naga at divine with a 60%+ winrate with both heroes. The only reason Medusa (also a 60%+ winrate) may be better for some players is that naga requires a level of micro that Medusa doesn’t.

Any heroes that can get close to him, one that can prevent him from escaping... spirit breaker is good throughout game and can shut sniper farming down early game, can be played as sup or offlane.
Hey Speed, i think you should add break heroes(Viper, Enchant, etc) to counter mk. that Jingu Mastery deals a lot of damage when it procs. those extra 4 hits to proc it again is crucials in a skirmish. Just my opinion though.

Tbh, I don't know whether magical damage is a thing against necro right now. I mean, yes if necro was intended to be mid and enemy mid fortunately have nukers go swap lane. on my last few games, the enemy tried to counter my necro by picking heavy nukers (lion and sky), but as for the early item I rush 2 bracers, then I built pipe and get the titan silver, suddenly my magic resist is 67%. Sky's ulti even deal almost zero damage to me. Yes I ended up winning that game because of even they 5 man up on me still cant even kill me before my back up come . But yeah, I still pick heavy nukers to try to counter necro hahah
Speed for dk pugna is one of the best if not the best he can shred dk with lifedrain , nether ward is big mana issue for dk he may be able to use spells only once in fight or maybe twice if he gets arcane from support or soul ring and amp all the magic by decap and also he can defend tower with wave clear ability blast in early game specifically . Try pugna against DK believe you’ll make him rage quit
Can someone explain to me whats wrong with viper? I always thought the hero is very underrated. It bullies anyone in the lane just like clinkz but better imo bec of the slow, it can jungle bec of nether and skin, tanky for a core and hits hard if you went right click build + dmg talent at lv20. I remember winning against a medusa on late game with this and no it wasnt a stomp game was close. But I always see ppl saying he is bad and doesnt scale well. What am i missing here
Viper Bullys medusa, removes her passive silences her and slows her. Medusa only has ult as escape but lvl 25 silence and she's dead. Although I agree underated hero.

Don't pick Dusa into Lycan, if they have half a braincell they just pick up halberds and Dusa has to grief her own build to counter it. Bad hero, don't pick it.

Oracle completely shits on Necro. False promise and fates edict completely prevent Necro from getting kills and purifying flames deals an insane amount of damage if Necro ever tries to use shroud.
Pugna may counter Necro on paper but Necro can also still spank Pugna, especially if Pug ever decreps himself. Case in point, I beat a Mid Pugna spammer as mid necro. He won the lane by minute 15 (tough match-up admittedly) but i outpaced him and cleaned him out every 1v1 and team fight after minute 20. If you are comfortable with slowly losing your t1 while getting good farm, then losing the tower first doesn't matter in the end. Necro will outscale pugna.
Literally just happened to me, dominated him completely and just snowballed. 32/2 (I had radiance but our carry had zero farm so we camped them while trying to finish the game)
you know what I used silencer a lot and crusader enemy sometimes doesn't know how silencer Q works.. I remember a enemy Godlike streak. WR having aghs.. I did channel my Q on him and he keeps running all the time until I'm surprised ohh shes dead an decided to abandon lol.. 🤣
Lions mana drain you usually don't max early and by later stages it has limited impact, if you do max it all bristle has to do is bring mangoes and a magic wand and you wasted instead having a longer stun with more burst. Bristle is tanky so lions ult has limited impact and only triggers more quills.

Yeah man the issue with these "smurf/cheese" pickers is not that there isnt a counter. It that they normally last pick in a super favourable match up.

I think you missed Storm Spirit vs Monkey King. All of his spells counter the MK, like the WR but in easier way.
Tidehunter vs Lycan is really annoying for Lycan. I think it’s a better Lycan counter than BB just bc it offers lockdown
