- The Razer Hammerhead Hyperspeed for Xbox earbuds are some of the best earbuds you can buy for gaming, listening to music, or just general use. They connect easily through the Razer app on your phone or just through a dongle on your Xbox, PC, PS5, or any other gaming console that supports them. These gaming earbuds are perfect for playing Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Warzone, or Fortnite. If you're into PC gaming, these work really well on Discord as well.

Great video! I’ve been searching high and low for reviews and finally someone has gotten straight to the point. I’m definitely purchasing these. 🎉
Do you mind sharing your best equalizer settings for these earbuds because im always hearing a faint static noise when theres dialogue in-game
Question - With these can you mute/unmute your self to talk in game? Or is your mic always on
you can mute/unmute by quick tapping either earbud 3x. its not easy to do repeatedly so i wouldn't go with these if you find your self constantly having to mute/unmute.
Nice review. I’m thinking about buying these. I cannot find any other ear buds with a mic that works with Xbox series X
Did you get them? I'm here for the same reason as you.
@@goodmusic6165 yes. They are great for when I am playing alone. I have not used them when playing/chatting with others. They work with my series X and PS5. I also use them with my phone and laptop. Battery life is not very long, but they are quick to charge and it does not bother me
Here for this?
@@goodmusic6165 yes. They are great for single player or playing online alone. Not the best for chatting! glad I got them though. I use them with Bluetooth on my pc for studying and gaming on there, plus the Xbox series x AND ps5
Is there any way to mute the mic?
Can you set any EQ settings on xbox? Or only if you use them on PC
the title says review but do you have a video coming out actually testing them with an xbox? maybe with an FPS?
I tested them on Xbox for the video. The review is my findings from the testing.
If they don't sync through the app only the right main one works. Any work around for that
I'm not sure, I haven't had that problem, try Razer support or updating the drivers.
I can't get the multi function buttons to respond barely at all. I'm clicking EVERYWHERE on the device and it rarely recognizes any input. So I'm stuck at max volume because it's not clear where you're even supposed to tap because the instructions in the booklet are terrible. And yes, I am clicking on the center of the RGB display thing as well as where the model in the guide is being pressed. Nothing. No response at all.
Edit: had to press it about 30 times rapidly before any prompts were received. Terrible.
Are the similar sound like AirPods or better? Like I play lots of horror games I wanna make sure the audio is in sync
I don’t own AirPods, but these have great audio quality. Bass is nice as well.
Thanks for the review! also could you please test the battery on PS5? because according to the specs page of the Xbox version the battery is just 3 hours with ANC and RGB off, but the PlayStation version is labelled to have 6 with ANC and RGB off, and if that's true then the PlayStation version is superior if you only own a PS.
From my testing for the battery, that was the case. I think it's the proprietary Xbox hardware/software that is the cause of the change in battery life. If you only own a PS, then I would go with the PS edition ones.
@@HunterBoldingVideo what’s the battery life of the xbox licensed ones on iOS with ANC OFF and Lighting OFF? The tech specs for the playstation ones show tested with iOS, but for the xbox ones show tested with Series S, so it’s not comparing apples to apples lol
In spec, xbox version tested on Xbox ss, ps version tested on iOS
@@neetwan they are the same. But receiver not the same. Xbox version can be used on ps, ps version can’t use on xbox
They’re terribly quiet. I play PUBG and cannot hear a damn thing while using these. Bummer I’ll need to return them.
@@Kilmar4999 I did that and it still did not meet the standard I needed. I believe the past headset i used was just insanely loud so not I cannot go back to anything less
I’m a pub guy too and volume is very important. Dang I guess I’ll pass too
@@Truthnfactsmf yeah I play everyday and you quite literally cannot hear a sniper shooting 30m away from you. It’s wild. Walmart quality
@@philip5685 I tried it out with pubg for two weeks. They’re in the trash can now lmao. Do not get them
Do these earbuds support Windows Sonic or Dolby Atmos on Xbox?
As far as I know, they do not. But I'm not Razer support.
Pretty good video, next time could you do a mic quality test so that we know what it sounds like? Maybe even a 2.4Ghz mic test vs a bluetooth sound test?
Thanks for the kind words! I'll definitely take that into consideration the next time I review a product with a mic!
Do the hyperspeeds basically have the same sound as the pros? Like the same internals? Not like the other cheaper true wireless ones?
I have the Hammerhead Pros and these sound better and are much better at connecting to my devices.
@@HunterBoldingVideoyeah but the pros don’t even work on Xbox so
So they have better sound quality than Pro version that costs more?
Can you use these with a usb mic?
Do they have a transparency mode at all and does the case support wireless charging?
They have Active Noise Cancellation and Dual Environment Noise Cancellation, no transparency mode, but with the NC off, you can hear around you reasonably well. The case does not support wireless charging as far as I know.
They do have an ambient mode on the app, which I feel is like a transparency mode.
I'm surprised to hear someone say they're good when it's gotten so many bad reviews on reddit and so many other youtubers saying that They disconnect they have poor sound quality and terrible Battery life with a cheap build and they're way overpriced. But hey you did a bang up job in presentation nice video clean and straight forward.
In my experience with them, I haven't had any of those issues. The microphones are a bit quiet, but other than that, I had MAJOR issues with the previous Hammerhead wireless earbuds, but this line has been nothing but great for me.
You should test the microphone on them I want to use these on Fortnite but if they can’t hear my well I won’t buy
I tested the microphone on Xbox, and on my phone.
@@HunterBoldingVideo how was the mic quality?
@@505PRE It was fairly clear, and I had my friend use it, so I could hear as well, it was a bit on the quiet side, though. So not a 10/10 mic experience, but a solid one.
Duration of BATTERY with RGB off? please!
They have all of that information listed on their website with the product.
On a review for the PS5 version of these, the reviewer noted that you could only use the right one by itself? Is it the same case for these? I often like to play with just my left earbud in.
I used both the left and the right alone in my testing on Xbox.
Thank you!
Is there a mic on them to talk in game?
Yes.
Wow thanks. I preorder been waiting on gaming widowed earbuds for Xbox. I bought cyberblades for $330 and I has to use adapter to work on Xbox
How do you turn the volume up & down mute mic, while on the xbox or is it the same volume across the board
There's an option for volume in the Xbox menu when you pair the phones.
What about local game chats or in public lobbie chats ? Can you hear them speak in the game chats ?? Instead of parties
I didn't test with public lobbies, I was just in a party with my friends. I would assume it's the same thing.
@@HunterBoldingVideo can you please do another test, chats with friends is fine, but public lobbies I can’t hear them, and they can’t hear me. I can see they are talking but I have no sound coming from them
@@kahuhapi5210 I'm not Razer support, you'll have to take it up with them.
Thay are terrible headphones mic doesn't work when in xbox party
I’m having the same problem too
Been a couple months, have they been updated to where you can talk in a party with them
@@z6skylift9 u have to update the earbuds on your computer when you first buy them. Quality in party chat when playing a game is terrible. If you’re playing a shooter and you start shooting, your team or chat won’t be able to hear you till the shooting stops . It’s as if the noise coming from the ear buds interrupts the mic. Honestly sound quality isn’t the best either
Is it good to hear footsteps on Warzone ?
I did notice for sounds like footsteps that it was a bit lacking, if you mess with the settings for Warzone, they're a bit better in that department.
So the Xbox one's work on ps aswell?
Yes, that is what makes them so special.
It will be a silly comparison but I'll get Razer Hammerhead HyperSpeed or else I'll get the SteelSeries Arctis 7P+
batery hold 1hr witch rgb
I have problem in warzone when i play people hear me like i am in tunnel
Me to

Hi this xbox edition working at ps4
Whay usb type is the dongle?
USB A because it plugs into consoles.
Got a new one today. It disconnected after 20min of using them. Cannot find devices and etc. The worst Razer big name product ever
Got these today. How do I stop calls coming through to them when gaming?
Also then when that happens I struggle to get them to go back to Xbox.
Maybe I’m doing something wrong ?
There's a gaming mode on the Razer app. If you're using them on Xbox or PS they shouldn't be able to connect via bluetooth.
@@HunterBoldingVideo thanks for the reply, yeah I enabled the gaming mode. Kinda confusing to use at first but getting used to the “taps”
All of a sudden gaming and the sound just cuts off lol
@@jamesmcintyre4287 The taps might be the worst part of the interface, but it's kind of necessary without some dongle. :/
@@HunterBoldingVideo I’ve had a few issues so far.
Complete random disconnects from the Xbox only way to reset seems to be to put them back in the charging case.
Another time the sound got really distorted, pretty sure most of this is dongle related and interference from other devices.
Literally want these to avoid that fukin dent that happens from headsets😂
Omg bro yes I noticed the dent starting the other day so I stopped I switched to my inner ear monitors with a wired mic cord instead
Can u talk to friends with them on game chat 😅
My dongle won’t even work in my ps5
Aren't razer products lacking - more of a brand than quality? So far not a fan of their headsets for sound quality
In my experience they've been great. I have a keyboard from them that's over 10 years old at this point that works amazingly still. These earbuds haven't had any issues for me. But that's just personal anecdotal stuff.
LA love my house bro GG
