How do you get away with using filler on chipped veneer then using a wood crayon to mask the repair? I am worried the buyer will be very disappointed when they take a closer look at home or when it rubs off. Please do a video on how you do this.Thank you for sharing amazing videos of your hard work.

@@justice2255 great question! Those are crayons are the highest quality repair markers on the market. If you do a good job, they won’t see the repairs. Plus you need to seal them in with lacquer so they don’t rub off

Wow! I'm most impressed with how well you color matched the chipped areas with the blending sticks! If I didn't know they were there, I probably wouldn't notice them!

Excellent work. I’ve not seen anyone use the Blendal sticks so well. I can’t see the repair.

Wow!! What a compliment! Thank you!! Def took a lot of work. You can definitely notice a little bit when you get up close or shine a bright light on it. But I'm happy with it, large repairs are always tricky!!

@@thefurnituredoctor I made repairs to a nice MCM end table using Mohawk powders. It honestly required multiple attempts & looks much better than pre-repair. If I had known that the sticks were an option (I’m new to restoration work) I should have done that. Oh well - always learning, right?

@@amybucher5439oh man!!! I haven’t attempted the powders! But yes, all a learning experience! All that practice will help you in the long run!

Have you done any veneer replacement or patching? I feel like this could've had a different approach than bondo, which I feel is becoming the norm instead of higher quality skilled work.
