Well done that looked really tricky 👏
thanks Andrew
Love, love, love your Vlogs! Chris, your enthusiasm is contagious, I am enjoying how creative your editing is. Well done!
Thank you Donna, comments like this really make putting the hard work in worth it, thanks for coming along for the ride with us on this crazy journey 😀 we haven't even really started yet haha
Makes us feel better about our mooring. We often struggle in very little space
Yeah it can feel closed in if you don't have much room for manoeuver 😕
@TheNomadicCrobot we get caught by the wind and with about 1-2ft more than our length to turn in its a zillion point turn
Bloody hell chris ! How many bloodies can you get in one bloody vlog ! Lol always makes me smile . 😊 Thanks for making my day you two legends ! Xx
I apologise for my strong language...its this new bloody life style that brings out my inner bloody gremlin haha, thanks Mandy xx
@@TheNomadicCrobot lol🤣
Nicely parked. Now for the fun interior. Thanks for sharing the journey with us. Best wishes, D
Thanks for joining us on our adventure 😀
Gosh...it moves... didn't sink..!!...where you now...? Back at marina....just sold my shares in Kurust...price fell now boat is rust proofed !!!
Haha we suggest strongly that you by shares in cro'rust... ready for when the rust shows its ugly face again haha 😄
Loving watching you guys. Been bingeing for about a week now, just one more, then before you know it, it's midnight!! You're so entertaining, so thanks 😁 Looking forward to getting caught up with where you're at now because we've not watched any current videos yet. Were dedicated to following you from the start 😊
Bless you Jayne and thanks so much for joining our adventure...well actually it been a bit of a nightmare but will get there,we really appreciate the support ❤
Becca, Chris, What a brilliant journey going to get the blacking done, and then your return journey. Today's Vlog was amazing as ever. So well constructed, and the running commentary is just amazing. You are both really nice people. Have a lovely week, and see you on your next Vlog. Take Care.
Thanks for your lovely comment, it's been quite the journey, so looks like we're taking a break from cruising now until the boats ready, we already miss it 😀
Back on the subject of inverters - I have an old one similar to yours which is fine for most things - washing machine, hoover. But I also bought and installed a small 300w Pure Sine Wave inverter - just for charging my MacBook - so no need really to fork out for a 3000w pure sine wave one. A 300w pure sine wave inverter is in the £50-£100 range.
Oh woaw yhats quite amazing, I thought I was going to have to spend quite alot on one, I'll have to take a look, thanks again for your help 😀
Yes do buy a 300 watt true sine wave inverter. I also have the 1500 watt inverter like yours but with a different label. Made in China and it will work for some things. It is called a modified sine wave. Do not use them with electronic equipment. The inverter is supplying dirty power and will over heat the equipment and eventually fry it. Some things it will fry instantly.
evening Becky and Chris hope your both enjoying your adventures on our wonderful waterways its great watching your adventures hope you can sort out your power for making us these vids
thanks its been an amazing adventure , ill make sure I can get the videos done, its my number 1 priority...vlogs over everything !!! haha
I said it before, youre editting is fantastic. Making it "watchable" is very much work, but you need talent to!
Loved this one again, thank you both! And you'll get there,, opwards and onwards we will go!
thanks very much, I think I got better with every video on this journey, its quite new to me editing journeys. soon will be hitting it off properly ...we can't wait :)
I’d hate all the gongoozellas watching at the tricky bits, brings the anxiety up! 😱
Haha people always seem to stop and watch, suppose its quite Intresting, it can be a bit scary at times but normally people are really nice and interested 😀
Well done to both of you - parking at the Marina is a bit of a nightmare but you both did it. Look forward to the next vlog.
thank you, it really is a tad tricky at times, all part of the fun haha see you in the next one :)
Back when you were cooling your beers in a water bucket is a great idea but you should check what Dani and Joe did in the floorboards of the narrowboat they are building. That space apparently stays cooler so Joe being the amazing carpenter he is built boxes that fit under the floor with lids made from the flooring. So they walk right over them, one they use for wine storage and the other for just regular storage. I believe they put a see through lid on the wine box. I just thought you two put in so bloody much work in fixing and restoring under the floorboards why not take advantage and use that space
oh thats really awesome, we have actually got two special hatches that we have fitted to our bilges that were going to use as cooling cabinets, its a great idea, we just havent got round to really doing much with them yet, thanks for the advise Alan, watch this space for a future vlog :)
@@TheNomadicCrobot or just dangle your beers in the river as you move along!
I saw Becca with that beautiful camera and immediately thought of it falling into the drink lol
she's absolutely out of control haha
God save the British waterways! But hey driving a boat and taking pictures at the same time and not dropping it 9n the canal is talent, back in the day I could barely light a ciggy and drive the car at the same time, and I might add trying not to spill my cocktail at the same time too. I may not have lit that many cigs but I never ever spilt a cocktail, thats a sin you know! I did learn eventually but by then I quit drinking while driving, and I quit smoking, tobacco that is I only quit smoking tobacco, just so we’re clear.
Becca is as cool as a cucumber ☺️. Great work Becca. You two are like Ying andYang ! 😂🤣😅
Chris your video and editing just keeps on get better each Vlog. Absolutely brilliant. Your subscriber numbers are really going up. Have a good week. Thanks. 🙏😊🤗 Kathy
Oh awesome thanks so much for your kind words and support, we're so happy to be able to take you along with us on crobot waterways 😀
OMG I’ve caught up, that 360 degree camera in that lock, so scary, like you said further on Chris it sure could sink you if you got caught, Bec it must have scared the hell out of you being up the pointy end. That marina needs to do something about all that weed. That was great fun guys, I now look forward to the rest of the build. I wait. Have a great weekend. 💕
It really looks quite terrifying from the front, the crossing itself is very smooth, weve never had any problems really, yes the marina are still waiting on the people to come and sort it, someone said it looked like pea soap haha thanks for for returning with us both Pauline see you on the next one :)
Hi Bec and chris great vlog again hope you do a 360 of this little trip .cheers
oh definitely, its something we would like to do at least once a week when cruising, iv got one more in the pipeline for this cruise, so it shouldn't be to long , thanks David
That marina looked like pea soup you were trying to moor your boat.🤣
Great vlog. ❤
haha spot on...will never go hungry , thank you :)
I love your videos!
thanks so much, were getting there haha :)
Great vlog ❤️❤️. Looking forward to your future adventures xx
Thank you for joining us 😀
Excellent vlog as usual
Good luck with the bathroom and kitchen.
Take great care both
Thanks david so much to crack on with now 😀 see you in the next one
Nicely done guys.
Adventures await us all!! 🫣😱👍🤗
Cheers Gary 🍻
You worried me with the title there bro!! Thought you were selling the boat 😅😅 great vid guys can’t wait to come see the boat again when I’m home!!🥰🥰
Haha well it was a bit of a play on words because it was the end of us cruising for a little while, cant wait to get u bk on dude when it's all lovely 😉
You scared me! By the title I was thinking you were leaving the canals!
Thank goodness you still have more to give!!!
You are such jokers, lol 😂.
Sorry Shoan it was just a little tease and play on words, just the end of cruising for now , we haven't even got started yet haha plenty more boaty nonsense to come 😀
Your title scared me on this one! I thought I was going to see the boat condemned or sinking or something!
Sorry just a little play on words, just the end on our little journey, cruising has been amazing hopefully we get the boat finished as soon so we can start up again 😀
New sub gained here! Looking to get on the water myself! Loving the videos!
Thank you so much and welcome to our Narrowboat disaster haha
That was fun
Thanks 😊
looks like modified sinewave inverter, well the one on B&Q is and it look the same as yours. Get a small pure sinewave one just for the inportant bit's of kit, and use this one for the bigger stuff.
Oh cool thanks so much for your help, iv seen a small 300 w one for under £100 so this could possible work 😀
I am normally into Rc cars and I watch kev a lot but I have found myself watching your videos your editing is really good and your both funny love the videos guys and I really think you should be on tv
Aww thanks so much for watching ours Damion! We appreciate your comments 🙂
Funny vid! 😁 love it
haha Cheers buddy :)
Just love you two!
thanks guys, can't wait to share a few drinks :)
Hi me old mucker I've seen alot canal boat use just the middle roap on locks
Yes that seams to be one of the best ways by what we have been told, the problem is our boat is 60 feet and it can move around alot in the locks if not supported fully, it's more to protect the cruiser boats in thr locks as we don't want to go flying into them haha we just tend to do it in all locks now regardless, thanks for your advise 😀
Enjoyed that, another great video.
Cheers :)
I’ve got a jackery explorer 240 and a solar panel and it’s absolutely amazing
Oh awesome i have been looming at them but am wondering if a full solar setup on the boat would just be a cheaper option, can't beat solar 😀
@@TheNomadicCrobot I’ll let you know in fb messenger where I got them from, cheapest I’ve seen and they accept PayPal pay in 3 which spreads the cost nicely
@@TheNomadicCrobot sent you a message 👍🏻
good video that one boi!!
Cheers dude
Crobots rule!
Thank you 😊
Another great video guys, very entertaining as usual. Makes my day when the notification pops up. Odd watching you at your marina, since we’ve been there haha. 👍🏼👍🏼
cheers Michael , yeah your number 1 stalker now haha, glad you got to see her in the flesh ,next time make sure to pop in for a cuppa :)
@@TheNomadicCrobot hahaha as Kev would say YES!!! 💪. Thanks fella 😉
😄 haha
Back to 'Bodgit & Flogit' Video's EH?? ..... Enjoyed Your cruising video's though - Proper Nut-Cases 😂😂
thanks Pete.. by the time we're finished with the wombat there's no chance of a flog haaa
You can tell I'm a new sub, I saw title and thought, what!? You can't be serious what's gone wrong 😁
Haha thanks for joining us for the roller coater 😀
@@TheNomadicCrobot it's great to watch your progress and the making it up as you go along. Awesome 👍
The big blag haha 😄
I hope you genuinely have a proper cattle prod!? 😀🤣😉
haha always one at hand when :)
Great stuff guys. Love it
Cheers Will
Bec why you have to do that bridge lucky the titan master had it under control nice vlog loving them always
exactly...luckily the master of Titan solved the problem haha cheers David
'Cos of the amount of weed at your home base, Arizona Pete and I were wondering how you cooled your engine? We settled on a skin-tank rather than raw water from the canal, is that right? From what others have been experiencing, looks like weed is a big problem to propulsion this year, let alone cooling systems using raw water.
Yes I don't believe we are using the water from the river, I'll ha e to get more details from Becca for you, for better or for worse everythings a bit slow going and begind with boating in the UK, unfortunately we're still waiting for the weeds to be taken care off ,thanks for your comment 😀
Can't wait.
Cheers for joining us on our trip 😀
Take me to Godmanchester anytime💔
Great title, had me wondering what was coming. Looking forward to whatever is next👍
Thanks gary, looks like we're hitting some serious DIY again in thr weeks 😀
Probably need to check your weed hatch now 😊
Bex loves the weed hatch
Hey question, so when you start “ attacking the waterways” like you said will you be attaching a lance while you “joust our way up the river bend” like Becca said?
LOL
haha absolutely Shawn....watch this space haha
Cant go left???? c"mon Chris, what map u reading!
no maps im afraid ...were winging it
Hello Crew… Right… Lesson number 21…yes, the Chinese Bridge was replaced in 1960 but then it was also replaced again in Feb 2010 (!)
8:08 - you actually moored up by the entrance to the old Godmanchester Lock - it was right behind you
9:52 - chargers - I’ve got a 12v to USB - works a treat - depends on your laptop (MAC or PC) but there’s LOADS out there!! Get this sorted ASAP
Apart from that, you failed to mention the River Great Ouse so full marks for not getting it wrong…. You know, once you hit the canals, you won’t hear from me… oh.. deep joy... Happy Boating!
I'm terrified to get it wrong ..haaaa. I must try harder, oh woaw really..its a lovely bridge...hence why it sucked us in, woaw that's cool we did think there was something going on, thanks for your wise words 😀
@@TheNomadicCrobot "So Grasshopper" (think Bruce Lee films...) "your time is nearly complete.. " A few more trips to the Fix of the Screw and the Q of the B and you will be ready for your next adventure.. "Do not forget The Maverick who has also shaped your density" .... " Behold the joys of soundproofing" Because your engine is bl**dy noisy! Happy Boating!
Haha its not as bad as it sounds on film, we like to refer to the engine as 'it roars' haha we will be looking into something though , also the maverick will be back very very soon 😄
Try using the terms bow and stern instead of front and back. And it's called a pole not a stick.
Thanks, yes we should really, its easier for people that dont know much about boating to understand so I try and mix it up a bit...thats my excuse anyway haha ....iv got quite used to calling it the giant stick...thats a shame haha
Forards midships and aft🤓
Start em off lightly then bring out the prod made me laff
Haha...the rotten little scoundrels
👍
Eyup my boatiful friends
😎👍
👍👌❤🇨🇦
Your engine sounds so loud! Is it loud in person when cruising?
it definitely comes across louder on film, its not really that bad when cruising though we would like to get something to possibly dampen it, our engine ROARRRRRS haha
As hard as you try with your piece of wood. You will never out do a woman lol
you are absolutely right haha
