    Back on the subject of inverters - I have an old one similar to yours which is fine for most things - washing machine, hoover. But I also bought and installed a small 300w Pure Sine Wave inverter - just for charging my MacBook - so no need really to fork out for a 3000w pure sine wave one. A 300w pure sine wave inverter is in the £50-£100 range.

    • @TheNomadicCrobot
      @TheNomadicCrobot  2 года назад

      Oh woaw yhats quite amazing, I thought I was going to have to spend quite alot on one, I'll have to take a look, thanks again for your help 😀

    • @Misterwhistle
      @Misterwhistle 2 года назад

      Yes do buy a 300 watt true sine wave inverter. I also have the 1500 watt inverter like yours but with a different label. Made in China and it will work for some things. It is called a modified sine wave. Do not use them with electronic equipment. The inverter is supplying dirty power and will over heat the equipment and eventually fry it. Some things it will fry instantly.

    Back when you were cooling your beers in a water bucket is a great idea but you should check what Dani and Joe did in the floorboards of the narrowboat they are building. That space apparently stays cooler so Joe being the amazing carpenter he is built boxes that fit under the floor with lids made from the flooring. So they walk right over them, one they use for wine storage and the other for just regular storage. I believe they put a see through lid on the wine box. I just thought you two put in so bloody much work in fixing and restoring under the floorboards why not take advantage and use that space

      God save the British waterways! But hey driving a boat and taking pictures at the same time and not dropping it 9n the canal is talent, back in the day I could barely light a ciggy and drive the car at the same time, and I might add trying not to spill my cocktail at the same time too. I may not have lit that many cigs but I never ever spilt a cocktail, thats a sin you know! I did learn eventually but by then I quit drinking while driving, and I quit smoking, tobacco that is I only quit smoking tobacco, just so we’re clear.

    'Cos of the amount of weed at your home base, Arizona Pete and I were wondering how you cooled your engine? We settled on a skin-tank rather than raw water from the canal, is that right? From what others have been experiencing, looks like weed is a big problem to propulsion this year, let alone cooling systems using raw water.

    • @TheNomadicCrobot
      @TheNomadicCrobot  2 года назад +1

      Yes I don't believe we are using the water from the river, I'll ha e to get more details from Becca for you, for better or for worse everythings a bit slow going and begind with boating in the UK, unfortunately we're still waiting for the weeds to be taken care off ,thanks for your comment 😀
