S-60 and S-100 are great amps to tinker with. Clean easy to follow layout. I've changed the front ends on mine a few timeS and haven't killed it yet. That's saying something.

She's a real beaut! I bet she'd make a great bass amp. The OA2 is a voltage regulator. I can't find an exact schematic for the S100 online but a similar one seems to have the OA2 regulating voltage for the power tube screens. How it does this is a complete mystery to me though - the cathode is connected to the 6.3v center tap and the anode to the B+ center tap. This is above my pay grade for sure. Would love to know how it works though. Great job, Ronnie!

So it's a voltage regulator for the screens? I've looked around for a schematic myself with no luck. I hear there is a Groomes model that's almost the same amp but I haven't got a chance to look for it. Crazy power tubes but very effective! Take care my friend.

i used a PE amp for bass years ago dual rectifier 6l6...really miss that amp stupidly i sold it

@@roncarter2188 my old PE amp had a 6v6 voltage regulator,never had to do anything with my amp so i never really knew the circuit.was a tank

I have an official S100 schematic. How can I get you a digital copy? I absolutely love Grommes Amps. All of the S-xxx schematics are the same except for quantity of mic channels and the number of power tubes. Nice Bass amps. Clean.
