WOW, I had one of these back in the 1980s! A family friend modified and gifted it to me. Said family friend owned the local TV Repair Shop (remember those). Really, Really Cool to see one of these again. 👍😉
I feel like it'd be pretty said to see such a unique amp turned into just another jcm800. I'd keep the bones stock and see what you can do to make the controls more useful for guitar.
omg, I just picked up a mint rack mounted version of this amp about 6 months ago for $50. all tubes included.. lulz. I'm looking to convert mine to a guitar head as well. Note: The schematic is glued to the inside of the chassis.
I'd love to see what it looks like under the hood, and inside the chassis. I have a big Webster PA amp that needs to be recapped and converted for guitar use: it has two 5U4 rectifiers, four 6L6GC's, three 5879 pentodes for mic input (as well as one octal tube phonograph input), a weird tone circuit with small inductors, and a 6SJ7, 6SL7 and 6SN7! I couldn't find an exact schematic for it online or in my large collection of Sam's PA amplifier schematics, but I did find a schematic for another brand of PA amp with a somewhat similar circuit and tube complement, a Dukane I think it was. It probably should get a new output transformer however, because the multiple secondary windings and taps aren't marked and the wires are discolored from age, and so it's a confusing mess. I could probably figure it out with a multimeter if I had to but it seems more appropriate to put a proper output tranny in there with 4, 8 and 16 ohm taps.
Hey I have some Webster pa amps and the speaker connections can be weird. Can you send me some pics of the connections, maybe I can help you. My email is rollingron67@yahoo.com
Did you do any circuit mods before demo or is it a stock circuit? On these Dukanes I often leave one channel stock for LowZ mics. I have the ransformers
I have 6 of these. I bought a 1969 bandmaster chassis without transformers and dropped the Dukane transformers into it. Sounds like a Dukane Bandmaster, both have 6 preamp tubes. I've turned 2 of the Dukanes into Bassmans. there is a lot of potential. GOD BLESS YOU! GOD BLESS AMERICA!! GLORY BE TO GOD!!! IN JESUS NAME WE PRAY!!!!!!!

Oh thanks yeah they're really cool amps man, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
@@roncarter2188 I did enjoy it, wish I still had it.
That same family friend also gifted me an all original 1947 Magnatone (MEC) M-192-5 Troubadour!
@@hkguitar1984 My kind of friends! Cheers
@@roncarter2188 Indeed YES.
Thanks for the great content Ron. 👍😉
Ducane (Operadio) invented high gain amplification. Ducane invented the master volume control. Mesa Boogie: is a johnny come lately.
Truth has been spoken! Cheers

I think your right! Thanks
It is great! You are a genius. 😊
Well that makes you the wife of a genius.....love you.

@@hybridjohn1 Sweet! These amps are so bad ass with hardly any mods!

@@roncarter2188 , I'll take some snapshots when I get a chance. Want hand-drawn circuit diagrams of it as well?
@@goodun2974 Yeah that'll be fine I'll see what I can do.

@@jonathanhorne6503 No its stock, just a bright cap added to one mic volume.

Yeah I've seen a couple of these on RUclips where they have turned them into Bassman circuits. Thanks for viewing, take care
