Thanks for putting this content out! I JUST figured out that I can do this with Ecamm. I almost feel a little dumb - as I should KNOW this, but it just popped in my head! I thought, "WHOA!!! I can actually share my screen or even go through a presentation AND record it! While NOT live streaming!" 🤪
Yup! I've been recording ALL of my videos through Ecamm. I'm so happy I don't have to bother with memory cards anymore 😝

Question for you: those who normally edit videos in premiere pro or final cut (Like me) would you recommend to screenrecord with a software like loom, camtasia or screenflow and then import that footage to the more advance editing software to work with color grading, audio etc.? If you know what I mean. I think Camtasia for example looks awesome, but I also want to edit in premiere or final cut. Not sure if it's a good workflow for creating tutorials or how other that create tutorials go about this. Thanks for your input!

Hi Heather Really great video! but I am having an issue and I don't know if its my fault or not, I followed your guidance and I click on the NEW MOVIE RECORDING and my picture appears, but when I try to screen record, by quick time player disappears when I open up a new tab on my Mac :( so I cannot use the movie record option but I can do the screen option but not together if you see what I mean :(

Whenever I try opening "new movie recording" on the QuickTime player, it shows all black instead of my webcam. When I press record, it says to try recording later, it's been happening to me for the past few weeks now, and I can resolve the issue. any idea?
Hmm never heard of this. Have you updated your OS to the latest version? Might be a hardware issue too.

Why does Quicktime stop recording? Is there a time limit? It just stops for no reason and I don't know about it until I watch the recording.
May not have sufficient memory for the length of videos you’re taking. Its a problem I into a few times and couldn’t figure out why it kept stopping. Hope this helps.

Mine doesn’t say new screen or movie recording. It only says new window and new private window

ecamm sucks, they wont sell you the software, they will rent it to you only
i dont want to pay monthly
That wouldn't make sense for them since they constantly update it. Totally worth it in my opinion. I wouldn't be able to run my business without it.
@@HeatherRamirez i have win10 and mac and i get updates all the time same like final cut etc, and it is something i paid once and that's it, for instanace some software like screenflow or word, excel they sell you the version X and if there is a new version you can pay the update or keep whatever you have

Why not use OBS its free and much better than those 3 options
