one of my favorite thing to see is when Thew just holds something up, looks at it, processes what it is, and just starts chuckling to himself. such a good vibe.
Unicron represents the state of the world while Thew represents all of us fawning over plastic toys to distract ourselves

the white mech with the dude inside is an E-Frame from exo squad, specifically a pirate E-frame piloted by Jonas Symbaca the pirate leader!
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one!
God, I wish we could get some sort of collectors series Exo-Squad stuff. I'd buy a nicely made, posable high end e-frame or two.

That blue beetle is the original pre-G1 version of Barrage, from "Armoured Insect Battalion Beetras" by Bandai.
That's what I thought when Thew transformed it. So is the GPS one also the pre-G1 (Pre-1) version?
It's actually the Select Convertors version of Beet-Gadol/Barrage mold called Crawler. Beet-Gadol (the Beetras verison) was black and had slightly different detailing and the Convertors version has much lower quality plastic and no metal parts. The GPS one is Morphus, the Select Convertors version of Beet-Vadam/Ransack.

I felt secondhand excitement when the Road Caesar bits showed up. I saw the Motorvators review a while ago, and I was randomly wondering if you ever got the bits. Glad to see you finally have a completed Road Caesar in your collection!
Also, I think that tiny Macross Valkyrie was a Select Convertor. I vaguely remember seeing that from toy stores as a kid.

Roadceaser (the combine that got thew excited) would be a cool thing to have in legacy like gripper is a leader and the other 2 are maybe voyagers/deluxes and it would be a cool 3 bot combiner if it ever happens
I'd be down for the Motorvators being a thing. a simple 3-bot combiner with some extra bits to spruce him up something nice. Maybe a Leader and 2 Deluxe?

That Road Ceasar repro box was magical. I always love seeing people's eyes light up seeing something they were looking for for years.
Also, the Skywarp-palette nail polish is fucking choice.
The way you can just transform things you've never encountered before is great. I guess it's a skill developed over time by many a TF fan. I'm always a bit scared to try despite having been in this thing since the start. Having said that, there are times I'll just see random manufactured items out and about and start to see how they _could_ transform. I bet I'm not the only one afflicted with this perceptual state.
Second figure is a toy from "Exo-Squad". An animated space opera with with alot political stuff about equality and war, from the early to mid 90s
That figure I beleived belongs the space pirate leader. It was released in the latter end of the franchise run where they were making suits for obscure characters that appeared in the show(suit an character), as well gimmick retools that weren't in the show.
I just remembered something from my childhood. I had a knockoff deluxe insecticon just like the blue beetle one as a kid. I could never get it to transform correctly because it didn't come with instructions and it was definitely missing key joints.
If TFWiki is anything to go by, the ones with missing joints tend to be Polyfect's KOs. The ones often associaed with Big Lots.

Oh man... Massive nostalgia boner from the mech suit. Captain Jonas Simbaca, leader of the pirate clans from ExoSquad. Easily one of the best stories any animated show ever cranked out, but it was never finished. It ended on a huge cliffhanger that, nearly 30 years later, STILL has me salty as hell.
I loved the first-person dungeon exploring mode that turned into a 3rd-person 3d brawler for the fights in Tobal #1
The mini-con police car is named Armstrong. I got it as part of the Classics line in the 3-pack Night Rescue Team. First ever Mini-cons I ever got, and I still have a go at them today!

The blue beetle seems like a Barrage bootleg.
Barrage is the Rhino Beetle, Chop Shop is the Stag Beetle, Ransack is the Locust and Venom is the Cicada.
4:44 I think that battle mech thing is from a toyline called exo-squad! Toy galaxy did a video on it a while ago, and it looks pretty similar.

The white mech suit with the geezer inside is Exosquad! You definitely want to give it a go, it was one of the first American cartoons to try to do the long-form story thing in an anime-like way. It cribs a lot from Macross and Yamato, but in a good way. Kinda like how Stranger Things didn't do a lot of original stuff at first but did what it did well.
I just love your energy so much. It’s always a joy to watch you sit down and talk about robits and robutts for however long at a time.

The Mobile Suit at 25:04 is the GM Cannon II, so the Guncannon wasn't too far off. It's a "descendant" meant for limited production while also incorporating advancements from the NT-1 Alex Gundam, and a partner unit to the GM Custom. GM in all these instances is pronounced "Jim."
I'd take a GM over a Gundam any day haha
I just got a haul as well consisted of the creatures collide pack the buzzworthy terrosaur and mpm blackout and some minor bankruptcy but still great figures and great video love the haul ones

The minicon is Strongarm from the night rescue team. He's a bugger to transform until you learn the trick to it. Cool little figure though. Fun fact: There's a yellow taxi version of him called.... Get this.... Overcharge! 😂

The difference with these lines I think, and why we’re not getting sick of them, is they just cant stop putting out *bangers*. Each wave has *multiple* bots worth getting for even the most picky collectors. I went from a dozen or so bots to well over a hundred in the last 18 months or so because its just been a deluge of must haves
