Watching Thew getting more and more baffled with every edited picture he's given by Brandon is easily the most entertaining part of the show.
So I have a new roomy who's never played with Transformers before. Last week I gave him my g1 Optimus and said "give this a go". It was so surreal watching his eyes light up when he was figuring it all out and his amazement when he got it done. That g1 optimus toy truly is one of the greatest toys of all time!
It really is impressive how well Masterpiece Soundwave still holds up after all this time.
Really hard to fuck up a blue block guy. Them nailing it pretty soon isn't too unbelievable.
…I’m not going to lie, Thew saying @ 27:58 that he appreciates me… it felt so out of left field and genuine that I actually smiled. I can’t think of another RUclipsr, big or small, that’s made me GENUINELY smile and feel appreciated in YEARS. I know it’s the whole “parasocial relationship” thing and obviously I’ll never know thew in real life, but damn if it wasn’t exactly what my soul needed at that exact moment in time. Can't believe it's taken me this long to realize Megatron is a Targetmaster. Also, totally digging those cassettes. They're jank, but they're my kind of jank.

those cassettes are for a VERY old 3rd party Soundwave called Sonicron, it was to remedy the fact that there's never been a CHUG Soundwave toy (until 2016), and it's based on Guido Guidi's Soundwave design, it was one of the earliest 3rd party toys in the market
It's amazing how well MP Soundwave has held up. I mean, yeah, Acoustic Wave looks more G1 accurate and the Netflix fits in with my CHUG collection, but I do find myself missing the original MP Soundwave. Solid figure, fun transformation, and undeniably a gorgeous figure.

Yeah, I loved bot shots so much growing up. Me and my mom weren’t the richest people, so the transformers I had the most of were rpm’s and botshots. A lot of fun.

Agreed,i dont collect transformers anymore as my intrest in it is not what it once was and dont really watch yt transformers reviews anymore but i still watch Thew for his sense of humour and uplifting videos...always makes me smile

I've got a Transformers moment to share:
So I'm at Target, and I find a Transformers The Movie (1986, the good one obviously) Coronation Starscream. I considered making it part of my shelf candy until I remembered that my niece was a Starscream fangirl for some reason. I held on to the thing boxed for about six months before I could properly wrap it up and present it for the Holidays. She was very thrilled.
Thew always seems so damn happy opening these random boxes!
I had no use for a lot of the later G1 stuff as a kid, but their goofy fun has won me over as an adult. Sparkabots, Triggerbots/cons, heck, even Monstructor. Just fun little dudes.
I don't come here for actual reviews I come here for the awesome upbeat energy and positive energy. Limited appeal keeping it real!.
NGL, G1 Prime was always a target for me. The neighbour kid had one and staunchly refused to let anyone touch it. My parents tried and got me Powermaster Prime but I still always missed out on that G1 experience.
From a large aging man watching toy videos, thanks for the video today Thew. It helped brighten my day.
I remember seeing those 3rd party big characters turned into target masters back in the day, never thought I would see them again.

I used to prefer screen accurate Galvatron but between the GenSelects release and rediscovering my love of the Marvel comic I've come to prefer him with the gray toy colors.

Sparkabots are some of my favorite guys. Since I have two siblings we had all three. As hasbro seem to be remaking a lot of crap bots I’m hoping to see new versions soon.
Sizzle is the black one....I remember because I was a baby in the early 90s and had the G2 transluscent neon green repaint.
I have never owned, or even seen in the flesh, a real G1 Optimus. So I shall gove this giveaway a try and hope for the best!

The BTS cassettes were from before 2012 sometime, thats' when I got my first set on BBTS. I got the neon variants on a set too.
Still have happy memories of the Christmas Morning I got Optimus Prime *AND* Megatron.

Optimus was a Christmas gift for me too but even as a 10 year old I had no desire to own G1 Megatron

I had one of those Grey Shockwaves as my leader which also helped when My Primes head broke off so i had him as Shockwaves prisoner like in the comics.

I do like the Starscream targetmaster. The gun mode looks like its trying to evoke the tetrajet.
It's also more or less doable with some Starscream toys.
Well, @3:16 (lulz) I think if you can get your hands on the screw driver (likely proprietary) that holds em together, it could just be a flint they need to have replaced, & who knows, they might just be the same/similar size as a Zippo or bic flint!!😉🥃
I have the Sonicron (IDW Soundwave) that goes with those tape guys. And yeah the quality is just not where it needs to be. But I need to track these guys down to go with him.
I wonder what transformers will do with soundwave, will they ever update how rumble and laser beak are stored?
Soundwave will probably be something not stupid as a disguise. Something like a communications van. Maybe the minion fellas can be a dish or some other weapons for his bot mode.

Yeah, I got the Tremor & Frequenzy set many MANY years ago -- and yes, they were long before MP Soundwave came out -- mainly to get the add-on pile-drivers that I thought I might be able to use on my reissue Rumble & Frenzy.

As a kid whose G1 was Beast Wars, I literally cannot remember a time I wasn't waiting for Rise of the Beasts either, in a way. :) This is my equivalent of like, the G1 fan hype for 2007.

I have the Soundwave BTS toys made, its one of the shittiest thing ive ever seen and i love it 😂
It has a very universe 2008 style design that i find very charming, but the quality control is abysmal and really lets the poor thing down

I'd have a go at the Optimus Prime, but I already have one. He's missing pretty much everything, accessory wise, but I love him. He's also the G2 version. The only difference being, of course, is just that he has a black trailer. Still, as incomplete as he is, he's a great toy.
Ah yes, a loverly mail video. A few comments for the whole thing.
1. I live in the States, and I don't even know the abbreviations.
2. I can't say for sure I've never owned a G1 figure that wasn't a KO, but I know I've never had Optimus.
3. I remember the names I use for the tape boys this way, fRE(D)nzy and RumBL(U)E.

Ive had tons of TFs in my life, but to be honest, Ive never ever had a G1 OP, my neighbor had it but they where kids so every accesory was lost, so really never had one complete in my hands. I do own quite some OP's like MP10 which I freaking love, and several others but never that one.
Ive been wanting to get one, even if its reissue and never take it out. For the sole porpuse of getting it signed by Peter Cullen, thats would be my best item in my collection. ^^

I just bought my second bot shot the other day so I could make a review (I figured it was hard to review the concept without being able to have to to smash into each other). So I'm going to be learning the rules at some point this month.
I'll be honest, as much as I want to win and own a G1 Prime, I *REALLY* want that Q-Bot. Small, silly toys are the best thing Transformers has to offer!
