Here is an insight into my naming conventions, but: For G2 Grimlock, I think the name Mithraurus is fun! A mix between the "poison king," Mithradate, and common ending of "saurus" of many archosaurs.

The little rubber Megatron is actually a birthday cake topper from the late 80's/early 90's. I had a Transformers themed birthday cake when I was 5, and it had one of those Megatron cake toppers. You just unlocked a deep seeded childhood memory.

Pencil topper, I still have mine. Unless you were supposed to take them off the candles and put them on a pencil? There's a matching Optimus.

I think how Thew feels about the incremental improvements to Ironhide/Ratchet is how I feel Waspinator from 2013 to now. Just ever so slightly improved molds and paint decos that make me think "Dammit, I should've waited!"
I think, looking back, the versions serve people with different priorities. Siege works if you want something new and cool, Earthrise works if you like being able to do the battle sled/portable medbay thing, Studio Series for the screen accuracy.

That ghostbusters figure of you is just perfect. You could totally be a ghostbuster if they wanted to do some movie about the business expanding into Europe or some other nonsense.
That Studio Series Ironhide and Prowl pack has got to be the most ironic thing that Hasbro has ever done with Transformers. Like, the whole point of the 86 movie was to thin out the cast and kill off the characters whose toys were getting discontinued from the product line. But since Transformers has basically cemented itself as a legacy brand, we’re constantly getting new and improved versions of those classic characters and don’t really have to worry about their presence in media being affected by product availability. Cut to the modern-day landscape of Transformers Generations, and Hasbro decides to celebrate characters like Ironhide and Prowl’s role in the film by rereleasing their most recent figure entries, but going out of their way to retool them in a way to represent their dying moments. The way I see it, these releases of Ironhide and Prowl are new toys of characters who’s original toys were retiring from the original toyline. It’s a product representing the discontinuation of another product, and I don’t know I’m kind of for it.
“Hazard-bite” might be a good name for your new grimlock. Happy hollows eve!

That G2 Grimlock has to be one of the most spectacularly striking figures they’re released in years. Absolutely spectacular.

Ya know, I think the set-up might look better if you got some LED bars from IKEA and run them along your shelves at the back. Maybe in blue or even purple? I think it would help with the stark contrast between the foreground and background.
Hasbro team sounds like a really cool, chill group and it shows in how great the GIjoe and Transformers lines have been for the past while. Definitely on board for that beachcomber, as the recent 86 Brawn is also pretty great. Say what you will about Ironhide/Ratchet but I'm super excited to finally have decent definitive iterations of these two in the collection as the last time around for me was either Animated and the absolutely awful Generations mold which I think I only had the Ratchet. Really too bad the Death pack gets the superior paint aps and plastic windows. I can see Death pack 2.0 being Ratchet and Brawn.

Great to see Dammit, Open! back. I recently picked up the first Legacy Hot Shot at MCM London for a tenner (from In Demand Toys). Equally unenthused, but happy to finally have an Armada Hot Shot, and tbf he's pretty fun in car mode!

So cool you were in my home state Rhode Island (Pawtucket) even briefly, shame you didnt get to check out more of Massachusetts and RI while you were here. Loved seeing you and Dan on the Livestream you guys did an amazing job!

I confess I am super sceptical when it comes to marketing and sales types in the main but Emily genuinely feels like a rare exception. She comes over as just really great and likable, and an all round good egg to a point where even my cynicism melts, especially when she and Lenny are paired up on GI Joe stuff. They come over more like pals having the best time, then folks in the 9-5 grind, if that makes sense?
Anyway, glad it went well, you and Dan made for a good pairing!

It might just be the stripes but that Grimlock makes me think of Greymon from Digimon. A little more brown and it would be perfect.

It’s a white Halloween night where I’m at in Canada but still gonna be fun. Figure wise Transart tarantulas arrived which kinda fitting with the fear of spiders on a spooky night, that and devil saviour demolishor and the transformation looks like a nightmare looks good tho

Lemme suggest the name Radosaur for G2 Grimlock. Mix of "Rads" a measurement of radiation, also cause 90s radical, and dinosaur and also a reference to the Rhedosaurus from The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms

I REALLY didn't like Legacy Prime Arcee, but the Flamewar repaint is cool. I think it has to do with the fact that she doesn't need to look like Arcee from the Prime cartoon so you don't get "not accurate" vibes from looking at her, and that color scheme simply LOOKS better than the blue of the original, especially if you do the alternate transformation of the back kibble to put the wheels up there like the original Energon Arcee repaint, which is a better homage for Flamewar than Prime Arcee
let's keep Grimlock with a Hasbro approved name and call him Cesspool

Hasbro is in a different neighboring tiny state not Massachusetts but genuinely close enough. I used to live probably 10min or so from the hasbro HQ but sadly not somewhere you can just waltz in and ask to see stuff but I did get to try nerf rival before it came out so that was neat.
