I bought the DNA Design upgrade kit for him. The damn thing cost almost as much as Zarak himself. With it, it will be more than perfect. It will be ULTIMATE. But that wasn't enough. I also bought a plate that replace the one you got broken at 3:57 to give him the headmaster stats readout. I also got Black Rorichi last year. Now, to build everything...

I really enjoyed the design of both the Zarack and the massive robot body, wished his base mode and scorpion modes were a bit better, but do enjoy how big he is. Plus my copy came with the same breakage with the small piece inside his chest, which really hurts with how much he was.
Fasttrack is part of Scorponok. The equivalent for Black Zarak is Black Rorichi, which is not really that black but mostly gold. Looks quite cool. But yeah, it's the Fasttrack mold. But still. Also, you really should try out the spaceship fan-mode. It looks quite cool. Can't really give instructions for it, but it's kind of like the Scorpion mode but with the legs turned to the sides and some other stuff done differently. You can probably find it with a few internet searches.

To be fair, adding more paint apps would have actually alienated the people who've been clamoring for a Black Zarak. It'd be like giving Snake Eyes more color.
I know what you mean by poor parcel packaging. I get that a lot whenever I order from Amazon. I'm pretty sure using oversized boxes is costly for them unless they've already calculated that into shipping fees.
I had him preordered forever and thought about canceling him over and ver because I thought he was going to look so plain. I’m ok with the amount of paint apps now, I think he’s super gorgeous and one of the best looking Transformers ever.
I got this for the retail at BBTS when it first came out. But it recently went on sale for a little over 100 bucks, and got another one. I'm envisioning a space in my back yard where I can lay sheet rock wall on a table and make for diorama of various scenarios like Transformers city with all the titans in fan mode base mode, or a Gi Joe complex. Fun in the summer for sure.

Got this last Black Friday. I will be moving soon to smaller place and only plan to keep my Titan sized TFs plus some Japanese stuff. Hope it fits boxed up in that place.
I already owned Scorponok before and despite space being a slight problem in my house I bought it. It feels wrong for me to buy a repaint of a Titan class I already have but I just had to have him.
Yeah black zarak is just literary the upgrade version of G1 scorpionok in Japan's continuity so they are pretty much the same character so unless you're a completionest there is no real reason to get this or vice versa
titan scorponok was the one i was looking forward to the most but in the end i passed because they totally half assed it. No city towers? No fast track bundled? No maintenance bays and ramps?
I forgot to mention, Guardian robot repaint of Omega Supreme is coming soon and the simple 2 colour scheme reminded me of Black Zarak's paint job. I wonder whether they're using less colors to keep costs down ?
So apparently the wiki says the instructions warn the neckpiece will damage the paint on this guy. But I didn’t see anything in the instructions mentioning that.
Great review I would like to add something that I wish generation selects would take into consideration that once they bring out an item a limited amount after that I think they should be made per order because there’s a lot of us collectors that we just want them for a collection because we like to be completeand the scalpers out here are price gouging these items sometimes twice or three times the amount therefore we will never truly be complete. Either that or the scalpers are really generation select employees that are making even double or triple the revenue for these items because they bring out a limited amount. I wouldn’t be surprised stranger things have happened.

I dunno if you have G1 Scorponok or if you've ever handled him, but the base mode wasn't that much better there either because of all the partsforming and most of the accessories you had to throw in didn't really incorporate into the base mode all that well, like the elevator that doesn't really go anywhere or the repair bay which is too small for any figures, and opening all the panels for them renders the two side ramps useless. I do wish this guy came with the gun since that formed additional towers and would've added a bit of visual flair. I also wish they'd kept the little rocket pods hidden in the legs.
As of this comment 4/29 I have mine currently shipping it should be to me hopefully by 5/2 it is my second Titan Class figure as my first one was Titans Return Trypticon I got him for $75 US because Amazon still had a lot of them and they were trying to get rid of stock. So Black Zarak is a figure I welcome with open arms because 1. It was cheaper to buy him then Earthrise Scorponok and 2. It was a re-color into a God MasterForce character from Japan and as a fan of Takaras transformers story line this was never not going to be on my list to get. Edit: so it’s being shipped by USPS so hopefully it’s box fairs better then my Soundblasters.
if i had know that was coming out late last year,i would have put a order for that instead of the scorponok color variant but to late now,i'm good with the scorponok variant,back in 2020 i had gotten $300 and well at the time naval commander masterpiece armada optimus prime was coming and i had saved that $300 and i wanted to putva ordee for that optimus prime and so i waited and waited for reviews to cime out for it abd i was disappointed in what i heard that paint was chipping and it was cracking and breaking in spots that it shouldn't be and to make it worse its original price of $184 went up to over $200+ all bevause of a extra $50 for shipping,every inline store did it and i wasn't gonna pay for that and so i looked for something else in 2021 and i found scorponok for $160 and i got free shipping and i am happy with it but i had known that black zarak was coming i would have out a order for it instead but now i have $403 i can now but i'll hold out to see how much more money i get by my birthday and christmas.

Black Zarak is supposed to be this huge, shadowy warrior in Super God Masterforce. That said, I kind of mind the blue and silver areas already on it, but the bits of red, and areas of gold help. LOL He looks like a ton of fun posing. Thanks!
I own this figure and he's so much nicer sounding than Siege Omega Supreme. I like Siege Omega a lot but as someone who's v sensitive to sound he can be really unfun to handle due to his horrible sounding ratchets and it really brings him down for me
Hey man, that break sucks. Get some JB Weld superglue and use a toothpick to apply on the crack. The glue isn't and instant dry so it needs about 45 sec to 2 min to dry, 48 hr to cure. I use it on 3d prints and the stuff is worth its weight in gold.
The crack in that panel can easily be fixed with plastic weld, be careful tho watch a tutorial, stuff pretty much melts plastic together and evaporates fast when not air tight
I have scorponok and he's really cool, what sucks on mine is he has loose legs, not loose enough to be an issue for me to care about but loose enough that I accidently crushed my fingers at least once

Yeah titan class is never going to be around 45 bucks it will always be in the 100 to 200 range depending where you are and the state of the world economy

I'm debating on getting the black zarack from gamestop or finding one at lower price.

get some ema plastic weld and apply it with a small paint brush down the crack and will be good as new

Just curious but does your’s have any loose joints? One of the hips on mine is absurdly loose.
