I met Ken Osmond and Frank Bank ("Lumpy", who passed away in 2013) about 15 years ago, and they were both very kind. Neither one of them gave me the business! Eddie Haskell was the original suckup before the term "suckup" was invented, and although he was typecast forever, we'll forever be grateful to him for the many laughs and eye-rolls through the years. My condolences to his family and friends.
I was born the year the series went off the air I remember watching it in reruns in the 70s good, clean, entertainment. Thanks for the laughs Ken Osmond a.k. a Eddie Haskell. Rest in Peace
Probably my favorite show growing up. I was standing by Ken at a sports card show in St. Louis back in the 90's. I was going to go up to him and say "That's a lovely sweater you are wearing Mr. Haskell", but I didn't. I sure wish I had said that to him. It probably would have given everyone a good laugh. RIP Eddie/Ken.
I'm 65 Black female and I love Eddie. I love leave it Beaver...Eddie was a charmer..Ward and June were my role model parents. I used their parenting skills to raise my children. I lived in the inner city in Oakland...I was June and Ward..lol. No drugs no projects clean living and a lesson learned with each incident. No Good times for me...
Elaine Donaway I met elderly black couples that were young couple back in those days in the 80’s while in the military. They told me they got along with everyone and the racism portrayed today they told me was not common at all. People were neighborly, they were neighborly and people were more honest with their words being good as gold. Complete opposite of what is portrayed today and I am asian.
Let's face it, Wally and the Beav were too straight laced to be funny on their own. It took their friends like Eddie, Lumpy, Gilbert, Richard, Larry, and Whitey who'd get them in trouble. Even Fred Rutherford was great.
The bad boy of Leave It To Beaver. Lol. I loved Eddie Haskell. He and Beaver were my favorites. As a kid I watched the reruns. One of my favorite shows. Eddie could really lay it on thick with the responsible attitude and complimentary talk in front of the adults, etc. He could've been a politician if he fine tuned his delivery better. Thanks for the good times sir.
I remember in the spring of 73 when I was in 10th grade. We had a real bad thunderstorm and the lights were out for almost a hour with flash flooding, high winds trees down ect. Everyone in the carpool was talking about the storm. I said "that I was studying so hard I did not notice anything". Everyone laughed and the driver Mrs Van Cleave said that was something Eddie Haskell would say. 34 years at a party we both remembered it. Eddie Haskell would have made a great president.
My favorite is when Beaver climbs up that soup billboard and falls inside that big bowl, I think it's so hilarious when Eddie says to Wally, "Hey Wally, some dumb kid fell into the soup heh heh heh" then when he sees Mr. Cleaver standing there, he says, "Hello Mr.Cleaver, some poor unfortunate child is trapped up there" 😅😅
Very sad ! I have been following the whole team lately because It was a show my brother and I watched together and we enjoyed it and saw our relationship to be very close to the two brothers on the show! My heart goes out to the friends and family for this loss!
An adolescent master of flattery raised to the level of absurdity. Hilarious, and timeless. There were several Eddie Haskell- type students in my high school class. Talk about glaringly funny attempts to "get over".
I loved Eddie and I loved the show the kids actually respected their parents instead of making fun of them like the newer shows did. People who did not live in that era will never understand. That is sad.
I think that Ken played the part of Eddie Haskell great. It was a great move to keep him on the show more than just a few appearances. Great he became a regular on the show. Very sad that Ken has passed away 😢. May Ken Osmond R.I.P
Let's face it, you didn't watch the show just to see Beaver and Wally be good kids, you watched to see Eddie, Lumpy, Larry Mondello, Gilbert, Richard and Whitey talk them into doing things that would get them in trouble.
Once Ken Osmond died, he was reunited in heaven with his old buddy Clarence "Lumpy" Rutherford (Frank Bank, 1942-2013). They're still up there to this day, givin' people the business (as well as shooting the breeze with Mr. and Mrs. Cleaver), and waiting for Wally (Tony Dow, still alive at 76 years old) to join them.
Dang... sure hate Eddie Haskell has passed. He was one of TV sitcoms alltime great character actors. Took a long time for that Voodoo curse Beaver put on him to work. RIP Eddie !
Eddie Haskell is the single greatest TV character in American history. Runner ups: Bugs Bunny Dwight Shrute Archie Bunker Lucy Ricardo Bart Simpson Laverne DeFazio Arthur Fonzerelli JJ Walker Al Bundy Rosco P. Coltrane
He was way before my my time but it's on rerun all the time. What a knucklehead. Ken ended up making much more money from the LAPD and he did get shot and got saved by the vest. He's retired for the last 30 years and his pension is public record. It's way more than any residual...probably way more than most people's salary.
What a good man he was, too bad he was typecast and we didn't get to see him act more, because he played Eddie perfectly. RIP Mr. Osmond, I'm sure you, along with the rest of the cast that have passed on, were there to welcome home Tony Dow.
a real funny tribute would be to tie in the scenes "what a pretty dress and you look good today theodore" then the walk up the stairs and door closes TOTAL CHANGE "listen half pint -------------------get lost I did not come over for you to be here" total change in a few seconds.
@2:04...lf playing an opposite character qualified Ken Osmond as the best actor on LITB, then he and Tony Dow should both be considered the best; for l met Tony Dow at a BALLYS Health Club and his attitude was cold and uncaring. I was shattered, because l used to idolize him. That's what l get for placing a human being on a pedestal.
A prerequisite to becoming a Boeing Company First level supervisor all the way up to CEO is mandatory that you Are a Eddie Haskell ! If you are and you do, you’ll go far in Boeing!
Hoda and Savannah are about as cringe as they come. That entire NBC morning crew puts too much emphasis on themselves instead of the news. I quit watching them years ago.

Yeah, because you usually should be white to enjoy white people's acting; Christ.
Everybody loved Eddie Haskell...... regardless of how mean he can be to Beaver. And, just to watch him compliment June Cleaver was priceless.
Rest in Peace to the most remembered troublemaker in all of sitcom television- Eddie Haskell, played by the great Ken Osmond.
Yes he was trouble maker
Best part of leave to beaver, Eddie

What a great job he did with that character. RIP Ken and thank you for protecting your community.

I hope his off-screen life was, overall, very good. ("Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. Cleaver. Is Wallace home?") LOL!
KEN OSMOND AKA EDDIE HASKELL REST EASY
Gifted actor.
There should have been "The Eddie Haskell Show" spinoff. What a waste of an icon, better than The Fonz IMO.

Did he right his own verbiage, his character was unique, did he or the writers come up with that unigue characterization?
Did he come up with the unique characterizations himself or was there help?

Surprised politics wasn't an option in the series.
Is this Justin Timberlakes dad?
No
Soon this show will be in the vault because the younger generation won't watch this because they would rather watch something politically correct
Leave it to Beaver was actually pretty progressive for the time period that it aired on television.
