I have been sampling the time stamps. Fantastic interview. I hope to have time to sit down and watch it in its entirety. Mr. Correll must be in his mid or late 70s but sounds like he's in his 20s, full of vim and vigor. I never knew Mr. Correll is so connected to classic Hollywood, the real Hollywood that was a small community that entertained the world and defined the movies for years before big heartless corporations took over. I love these old Hollywood stories. I hope your next interview of Mr. Correll will be about him and what he did after acting as a kid, what he does now, and his take on how Hollywood has changed over the years.
Hope you enjoy the whole interview, Rich has endless stories. If we can get the next interview together it would definitely be more about his life after acting to the present.

It was nice to Monster chat with them! We gave them a super cool Frankenstein card. Glad to hear he's writing a book bc his stories are incredible. He's met or knew all of our favorite people! Hope there are many more parts to this interview ❤❤❤❤❤

Incredible Interview! What a damn life Rich had & how lucky are we that he met these legends, loved them like fans & understood their significance. It's like we sent a fan back in time to live in his body & come back w/ stories. I'm a gigantic fan of Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast & this is an honorary episode. Leave it to Beaver is as good or better! It means so much to me that Jerry, Tony, Barbara & everybody were great people & it was such a fun show for them to do. I've listened/watched every That's Classic & this one is without question the best, the best, the best. As always, John, keep up the incredible work!!!
Thanks Robert. Rich makes me feel like a fly on the wall to a very special time. I am a huge fan of Gilbert's podcast and it hurt when he passed. I am glad you brought it up as I need to go back and check out so many episodes I missed. I love the 30's and 40's comedy teams and the monster movies, always brings me back to sitting in front of the TV growing up. Leave it to Beaver has literally unbelievable staying power but I think it was the perfect combination of talent, friendships and great writing.

My Uncle Jimmy worked at Disneyland as a Bras musician from 1955 to 1964. They had an employee's day. My Uncle got us behind the scenes. Walt was there and said, "Hi Jimmy, who are these kids?" Sowe met Walt Disney where they were finishing the Jungle Ride. He talked for 15 or 20 minutes showing us the hippos and crocodiles before they were installed. He asked us to call him Uncle Walt too. The original Mouseketeers were going to perform on a stage at what now is New Orleans Square. Walt asked our Uncle Jimmy, "Are you taking them to the show? My Uncle said, "Yes." Disney said, "Take them into the VIP Section." (where all the Mouseketeer's parents were). After the show we met them all and got all their autographs. It was about 1956 or so. Richard is right, Walt Disney did love kids, and I know first-hand too.

Listening to Rich and how he and Beaver’s show friends were real friends. I know this had to help with not having a normal childhood and kept him levelheaded having 3 friends be there with him and they had fun. I always thought Richard was not as pushy and somewhere in the middle of Beaver & Gilbert.
Mr. Correll 's remembrance of Barbara Billingsley falls in line with others who have been interviewed about her . I did a ranking of the 1950s TV sitcom "moms" who were most like to least like their popular TV image in real life . From the most like I would relate in order : 1 Donna Reed 2 Barbara Billingsley 3 Jane Wyatt 4 Harriet Nelson . Meanwhile his assessment of Hugh Beaumont was similar to Elinor Donohue 's of Robert Young's in that he stayed mostly aloof from the " kids " . I consider Mr. Beaumont like Mr. Young as the strength of their particular shows .
Around 2006 or so i saw Richard on an HGTV special for halloween. It was showing how he decorated his house for halloween and showed some of his horror memorabilia. I think i saw somewhere else he put his memorabilia on display at one of the museums in Hollywood. Ask him about Frank Bank being a ladies man, Frank acted like he was a Wilt Chamberlin or Gene Simmons type of guy.
Denny, I would have loved to have seen that inside Rich’s house. His museum is in Hollywood- Ikons of Darkness. I am hoping to do another interview with Rich in December or January and will try to remember to ask him.
Fantastic interview, John! Many thanks to you and Richard-- although I'm still sore at Richard Rickover for blaming that broken window in the abandoned house on the 'Beaver! Can't wait for part two!
I think Richard was the only child actor who actually had braces showing on a TV show, not sure how they hid them on other child actors but Richard's were very visible....do you know of any other tv star who showed his braces on tv???

@6:13...l finally got to hear the correct pronunciation of Stanley Fafara's name. I always wondered which syllable the stress was on.
Very cool!
Fantastic interview, John! Many thanks to you and Richard-- although I'm still sore at Richard Rickover for blaming that broken window in the abandoned house on the 'Beaver! Can't wait for part two!
You are too funny Joe😂Glad you enjoyed and I want part two as much as you do.
its a scripted program joe....................
❤❤❤❤❤😊🎉😊
Thanks Jill!
His voice is exactly the same!
It is pretty wild I agree😀
Well, time has caught up a bit, as it has with all of us.
@@RayPointerChannel That’s life, but still kicking and loving life😀
He was on Ozzie and Harriet!
I didn't remember that...
Mr. Correll was except for the white hair remarkably youthful and animated .
Rich has a zest for life and obviously loves Hollywood.
That's not how I would have imagined him aging. You never know, do you?
No you don't but you definitely know its Rich!
I think Richard was the only child actor who actually had braces showing on a TV show, not sure how they hid them on other child actors but Richard's were very visible....do you know of any other tv star who showed his braces on tv???
Sorry I don’t but interesting thing to catch😀
Love the interview. Hopefully you can get whitey or Gilbert or Larry on your show sometime soon
@@ClintNaramore Thanks and I would love that to happen
Great job again Jon, I am a local mailman, and listen every week, while I’m on my route. Too bad you can’t get anybody from the wonder years, I know it started in the late 80s, but that would be great
@@ClintNaramore Thanks Clint and love knowing you are out there listening on your route:) I will try the Wonder Years cast who knows we will see what happens.
The actor that played Whitey died some years ago. He had a lifelong battle with drug addiction.
@ Thanks for sharing😀
Thanks Enrique!
WHERE IS STEVEN TALBOT, my idol?
Hoping to have Stephen on actually, time will tell
💛♥️❤️😍💙⚾️🧢🎈
Appreciate you!
Richard was not beavers best friend. Only a regular friend.
Thanks for sharing:)
What about those braces, tin grin, Richard Rickover?
Ah memories:)
lol
11:40 - Some people enjoyed living in the 50s - suit and ties everywhere, yada yada yada - I wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes - I'm a child of the 60s, having been born right before JFK's assassination and Beatlemania - at the height of the Viet Nam war, and right after Beaver was cancelled.
The 50's was definitely it's own era.
18:30 - Too bad it went from Uncle Walt to Uncle Woke in the last 70 years. Hollywood seemed so fantastic back then and it's a tragedy now.
Very special time that is for sure.
