Thrilled to hear Laura! Butch has lead a very interesting life and is so genuine in person.I think you are already a subscriber but if I am wrong please do:)
This interview was the biggest surprise ever! Glad he's doing well and starting a tremendous project. Thanks for finding such great people to interview. This one took me back to age 7 which was also great fun. Still love the Munsters!
Makes me so happy you found it! It is my pleasure and I love interviewing all the people I am able to track down. I think one of the best aspects of the interviews is being able to take us all back to that special time in our lives. I am actually going to be interviewing Pat again this month and she will be answering fan questions that were emailed to me at thatsclassictv@gmail.com. So send me a question for her and I will ask it. The Munsters will go on forever!
Really enjoyed this, John! You got an awful lot covered within the hour+ interview - great questions!! - Butch is one of the most interesting people in showbiz EVER! So, really great job, John. On a side note, glad you discussed the new Netflix The Munsters movie, too. I watched it, typical Rob Zombie, and I actually did like it more than I thought I would - and I did hear Pat Priest's voiceovers! - but I wanna give a special shout-out in particular to Daniel Roebuck who does a masterful job at Grampa! He is a very good actor and was able to get the spirit of Al Lewis infused into his performance while still making it all his own. Well done, Daniel!
Glad you enjoyed it and appreciate your feedback. Butch is very unaffected by show biz and is so down to earth. I have only seen the start of the new movie but I can already say I agree with you in regards to Daniel Roebuck.
Great interview! Butch was great on the Munsters. I loved watching that show as a kid in the 60s. And I love the movie too, except that Pat Priest was not in it.
Thank you Kenneth! I have been fortunate to get to know Butch a little and he has been very generous and I love his stories about growing up in Holly wood as a kid but still having a real kid life.
@@ThatsClassicTV very cool. I was born in 1966, so a lot of the cool people you speak with are dear to me, because they are a nice part of my childhood. I love the innocence, morality and fun of so many of those classic TV shows and movies of the time
We loved Indiana Beach! We were very sad when it was going to close. We moved from the area last year but would have loved to have gone to see the memorabilia. I will tell my son to take my grandson!
So glad you listened to my interview to hear about Indiana Beach. It sounds fantastic! Definitely tell your son, if I get in the area I am going for sure. Please subscribe to my channel, there are some great ones and more to come😀
Another great interview. I sure enjoyed listening to Butch tell of his memories of working on the many shows he was in - particularly my favorite - the Munsters.
WOW! Thoroughly enjoyed your interview with Butch. I grew up watching The Munters, so loved everything about this. And some! Such a clever, kind and interesting man! Thank you, That's Classic... you've done it again! 🙂⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Really appreciate the feedback. It means a lot. Glad you enjoyed the podcast, it was fun. I believe you already have subscribed but in case I am wrong please do:)
@@ThatsClassicTV oh yes, definitely a subscriber! Love your podcast! Is there anyway you could do an interview with maybe someone from married with children? Christina Applegate has that new series called dead to me on Netflix. Would love to know what the rest of the Bundys are up to these days.
Very excited to hear Butch Patrick. The Munsters was definitely one of my favorites. Any fan should check this out. John Cato has the best comments and questions. Very insightful. I'll watch The Munsters with a whole new appreciation- even better. Keep up the great interviews.
Thanks so much for your comments Pete. I feel the same way, the Munsters has always been one of my favorites too. Appreciate you subscribing as well. So thrilled you are enjoying the interviews. More to come:)
Thanks Robert and thanks for subscribing as well. Glad you are enjoying the interviews, it is fun to actually see the person😀I definitely have more in the works so make sure you get notified through RUclips when I publish a new interview. Enjoy!
When I met Butch and was asking him a question about the Monkees, he had someone come up to him, say something to him, and he just walked away. I was really disappointed in my experience with him. I am glad however he answered my question here. As a side note, I used to work for Maurice Ansara, Michael's brother, when he owned a restaurant here in Toledo.
Looking good Butch! Great to see you doing well, thanks for the nice interview. Any mention of Ben Stiller doing a grown up Eddie costumed Butch Patrick on SNL? Or the dating reality show he did? He's looking great after all of that.
Butch was a very talented kid actor and is still very sharp. He looks like a cross between Sid Melton and Richard Crenna now to me. Also like an old friend of my late dad named Paul Ricker. My folks took us to Universal studios (tour) when we were kids and we saw Al Lewis in full makeup during a lunch break from filming. He and Fred Gwynne had already been a great comedy team in ‘Car 54 where are you?’ before the Munsters.
That is so cool Kelly! I would have loved to have seen Al Lewis at that time in makeup as Grandpa. Butch is very much like a big kid and I hope he never loses that.😀
Enjoyed interview very much. Always a big Munsters fan. Written by same guys who wrote Leave it to Beaver and it reflects in the softer tone of the show as compared to the Adams Family although that was a very funny show also
Al Lewis' make-up was "off" first few episodes. Good question: When did they decide to change his male-up? Beverly Ownes (TOTAL BABE) wore a wig...who knew? Butch was a natural...he played the adult in his resoning and delivery of his lines..So perfect.
I have to challenge one thing. I don't for one minute believe that silly raucous Herman Munster laugh was the way Fred laughed in his real life. If it is true, I will loose a little respect for hm.

So glad you enjoyed the interview. Butch was great to interview and loved his stories.
Another iconic interview. John I am so envious. As an amateur actor, I just love these stories.
Thanks Douglas, getting to know Butch a bit was just a blast and I felt very fortunate😀
I used to see TV ads for Indiana Beach all the time “There’s more than corn in Indiana!” but I never visited. I’m glad Butch is helping them out.
That is very cool, I would love to see it one day myself.
Wow Butch lead an interesting life for sure, I really enjoyed watching this, thank you!

Great interview! Those keys are rad. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed from what I saw of R. Zombie’s movie.
Thank you! Also I used my key all the time, love it! I also agree in regards to the movie😀

You forgot to mention that Butch had played bass guitar in his band "Eddie and the Monsters"...wonder if he and Bill Mumy ever played music together?
Thanks for sharing and I will guess Billy and Butch have jammed as I know they are friends

That is very interesting about Grandpa and I agree that Butch had the adult delivery (wise beyond his years) down.😀

Did Butch used to drive around that Chicago area in his monster car?
Thanks for your question. If I find out from Butch I will let you know!

Ok, that is interesting. Let me see if I can find out if it was Butch.
Married with Children would be great. Thanks for the suggestion, time will tell:)
Aside from the Munster coach they had another family car. 1937 Cadillac V8 Formal sedan show in two episodes.
Cool information, I don’t know if I remember that.
Butch is a good storyteller.
Munsters were always better than Adams Family in my opinion. Not the NEW Munsters, the old classic show with Butch.
Butch is a terrific guy and carries on the Munsters legacy so well. I also love the old Munsters and still watch it today in fact just yesterday 😀
