What I find most appealing about this timepiece is its remarkable innovation, cleverly sidestepping the realm of ostentation (unlike certain brands, *cough* Jacob & Co). It offers a genuinely distinctive and refined approach to watchmaking, skillfully avoiding the pitfalls of appearing overly complex or gimmicky. While I can't help but wish for a more affordable price tag, I acknowledge that such hopes are often in vain. While I may not be able to own one, I certainly hold a deep admiration for it.

This is stunning. I have massive respect for Ressence. Not only do they make the most innovative watches out there, but the design is minimalist at the same time as being striking, making them instantly recognisable across a room or over a dark cocktail bar. If you have the money, and you want recognisable design, modern technology, and individuality, you really have to consider this brand. There are no other brands in the same space. Great video too! Love your lighting and composition. Would love to have known more about the mechanicals.

Amazing Review Tom I’ve been watching this brand for awhile and that’s how I knew about the Lume… It’s a stunning piece of modern forward thinking horological technology and total agree that anyone who puts this in their collection should earn a little respect.

Super cool watches. I met someome that had one and had a chance to see one upclose at a Worn&Wound Wind-Up in San Francisco.. either in 2018 or 2019. They are already impressive in images and videos. But, to actually see in the metal and the actual visual effect of the dial and all its components is definitely a wow moment.

First time watcher of your vlog (no punn intended) and as I subscribed you can quite rightly assume that I liked your review - informative, well shot and the right side, or is that left side, of how long I personally feel a video should be. One question - What is the accuracy of these watches - do I assume that at this price point they will all be at the very least COSC certified or can I expect better? I haven't said anything about the movement - oops, now I have 😮. Please forgive me, it is a serious question. Thanks, got to go - loads of your videos to watch - sorry, I mean see and digest.

I am fascinated by this company. Doesn't it take some getting used to that the hour display on the dial is always in a different position?

Not that I know of and I’m sure this is patented
theres two extremes in watch making, gaudy and horrible jacob and co. watches, but his brilliance in the engineering is underated, and ressence, briiliant and understated. everyone else is in the middle somewhere.

Well, i expect much more from a watch costing 17k€, from which i could heat my home for >10 years. More as in details, i mean.. Look at the 35 and 40 on the "bezel".. The only two where the numbers are off.. Even on the press shots, come one, you can't have missed that!

Intuitive means understanding without knowing. If you need to instruction, it is not intuititve. Driving is not intuitive, it requires learning, practice and certification. Somebody neeeds to tell me which side Monday is on the dial, before I know what it is for.@@BowlOfSalmon

17k-18k? For this? Paying that amount of money for an unknown brand, with an unknown movement that is definitely going to be troublesome if anything goes wrong? No thank you. This is literally just trying to look and be different for the sake of just trying to be different. There is no improvements gained from it. And it looks like those trash smartwatches. If this was below $1000, it would still be asking a lot, but at least a lot of people might still be considering it. But $17k-18k? There are so many options from so many much better brands to look at.
There are literally zero other manufacturers doing anything remotely like that. If you care about brand logo just buy fake rolex for 600euro and nobody will ever be able to tell the difference anyway. Clearly its a timepiece for collectors who already own everything.
