Back when you got your recipe ideas from books (not Pinterest) and before you checked movie times in the newspaper, not online. Man time flies.
Omg how true is this !!?? 9 years ago people had to know where to look for information now its at our finger tips can you imagine how much dumber society has gotten just from being spoiled
Oh yeah! Lol 😂
Um, I buy and use cookbooks til this day AND use pinterest.
LOL Try growing up in the 80s and 90s...we didn't even have basic cell phones.
Sounds rough
I always wondered why they broke up... Now watching this as an adult I completely understand.
Kristie Peep I couldn't agree more!
Kristie Peep yes! I cringed during this entire episode. It's crazy how I used to think they were so adorable when I was younger. If a man ever told me I needed to become "more of a woman", there's no way in hell I'd marry him.
Elizabeth Ashley you guys are saying exactly my thoughts. What growth can do huh?? I was a in sch when this came out and swore they were a perfect match watching this now Im cringing at the entire interaction
Kristie Peep First of all this show isn't even real. It's more on the scripted side than anything.
Nycolbe Braddy relax hun. There's no faking that.
He married her knowing that she can't cook and then gets mad that she doesn't cook. And they say men are logical thinkers.
Besides; why is she the one cooking? For start she was making a lot more money 🙄
At least he knew the difference between chicken and tuna.
Hahahahahaha
@@macdaddy1234 the fact that she didn't was actually a joke
@@alejandrabarber6639 exactly he has 2 hands.
6:02 The fact that she tried cooking shows how much she cared. That says a lot ❤️
Or maybe it was not her idea
You can tell this was from the past when you look up movie times on a newspaper. Oh the good old days...
Jordan Lalata omg! I haven’t thought about going that in forever!
It was only the early 2000's. You make it sound like 1945
Shell By The Sea still!!!! The good old days .
So true
Shell By The Sea Agree lol
So basically, Jessica ends up divorcing Nick Lachey, married another guy, has two great kids, becomes a great mother, and then makes million off a clothing line sold at every Macy's and Lord and Taylor in the country. Yeah. She definitely did do well after Nick!
nick took half.her empire - married a woman with both brains and beauty and is still happily married. i say he did well too.
lucy mars from what I understand her mother runs the company. Not much has changed. Not saying she doesn’t contribute at all in choosing the fashion but both of her parents got some serious business skills.
What an asshole
Nick did 10x better after their divorce ...
She’s worth billions... Nick isn’t doing well at all in comparison. His career basically ended after they divorced
I can't get over how he just basically treated her like dirt most of the time. He acted like he was the only one that had a brain. I am so glad she's happy and has the beautiful family that she has now.
I couldn't agree with more, I love how everyone well not everyone but some ppl like to make it look like because she acted "spoiled" or "childish" that it was her fault or something why they didnt make it but even if she did behave a certain still gives him no right to treat her like shit, period!!!
spicyc69 plus she’s SUPER RICH Lol
she's also much more successful
Her husband now seems like such a gentle soul and her kids are so adorable. Literally her little mini me's.
But all the guys in their 20s back then thought it was cool to behave like Nick in this show. Every single one of them.
"I didn't plan good" broke my damn heart cause I know that feeling all too well
Crazy how this show was so entertaining to me and my friends when we were young, but now as an adult, it is very hard to watch. We were all romanticizing something fairly toxic....
K.Alexis NOW 2019 VLOGS IS TOTALLY NORMAL
BUT NOT IN 2009
And that why ppl don't grow up until they do!
Makes u wonder abt parents letting their 4 year old act as the opposite sex these days. Yep went there. It's disturbing.
Manner decisions when you're brain is ready.
I had tmnt and gi joe- profusely told my parents i wished I was a boy. Glad they knew I was 6 and let me grow up to
( painfully), gradually and genuinely get to know myself.
Being a woman is completely empowering! Being whoever you are and coming into it makes it completely empowering! Anyway. There's a rant for ya lolol.
100 percent.
Truth
I still think Jessica Simpson is one of the cutest personalities, and physically cutest, people ever. She's gorgeous without makeup!
I wish I could look so good with out makeup 😭
I agree
Sandra Grant the way she said “why dont u just wait till it rains” all innocent made me fall in lovee and laugh like an idiot at the same time
That’s what I’ve always said since she came out as a musician!!
100%
She was so young, and he wasn’t very kind to her. Makes me sad.
Jessica seems like a good person, but she acts like a spoiled, needy child 24/7. I think Nick was overwhelmed and drained by her lack of knowledge and incompetence in doing basic things.
Joanna Middendorp
He did most things
She just did presses
I agree he wasnt kind
Nil Nil she hadn’t been taught to do anything in life. Honestly neither was I, but I figured it out and I’ve been married over 20 years.
I really like the way you explain it in the comments.
Nick is a grown man and can cook his own meals. Having said that, for ladies, gents, and folks who are middling cooks with busy schedules- a slow cooker, rice cooker and Instant Pot will change your life. Trust me.
I've barely cooked and grateful for any tips for quick or low effort coming. How do you suggest using a slow cooker?
My wife cooks for me
There is nothing wrong for your husband/wife to cook for you. That is part of a marriage life.
And Pressure Cooker too!
Add an air fryer and you’re set!
When you watch this back you can see that he's not fully in the relationship 100%
Sarah Ainsworth I'm 32 and while watching this I'm noticing so many things I missed when I watched this as a teen lol
gallonaday right, I feel embarrass for her and HER MOTHER!
Honestly what I see is a man that realized he made a mistake. People like to bash Nick but they just were polar opposites trying for.years to make it work. They are much happier now and more compatible with their new partners.
+Dario Alexander I agree... I was a fan before during and after the marriage. watching this show at the time it was all funny and exciting but to look back you can see the misery and the look of what have I done from nick. its still funny tho I still love watching the show.
+Lilmssunshine305 I'm glad they are both happy with who they are with now
She was a baby and he expected her to be on his maturity level. A 7 year difference in your 20’s is WAY different than in your 30’s & beyond. He wasn’t very warm to her and you could tell she was trying as hard as she could. Just a mismatch.. we’ve all been there.
Yes!!
Im 5 years younger than her and when this was on air I was new in college and I could cook better than her, and i'm a man a gay one but still a man, I remember I could make lasagna in High School... back in 2002
@@aaronxalapa What does being a man have to do with it? Women aren't naturally MEANT to cook. Time to put that old sexist idea to bed.
aaron bush ummm ok... and I could cook at 13 and I’m a straight woman now 29 married to a straight man who can cook awesome meals... WHATS your point dude
@@Armaninabz that she was useless...
He really treated her so so bad. So glad she left him
I think it was her that treated him bad
Both messed up he was always getting mad at her and she cheated on him I still love them both though
Me too. He was a POS.
@@strawberryshortcake8382 You are crazy. He was an asshole to her.
I saw this when I was a teenager and I honestly always thought that she was stupid.... Now, like a million years later I just realized that the stupid one was Nick!
I love u
100 percent!!!
It appears to me that he was manipulating her emotions, able to do so because of their age difference and her innocence. Really disturbing to watch now that I'm an adult!
@@laurencooks5471 would u shut up ms.analyst.
@@misterbobby8913 um. No.
Jessica is so cute without makeup.
And she’s on a tv show without it. You RARELY see these things from people now!
true that
PROACTIV?
You're Not The Boss of Me what’s masculine about her look? Just wondering not hating haha
But why nick always wearing his hat? I don't know you can wear a hat in the house.. 😅
FACTS: Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton were the OGs of reality TV show.
damn671 I used to watched them haha we don’t have good shows nomore 😨😩😭 that why I stop watching tv 😫😒I don’t watch tv at all 2000s tv shows was the best 😞 I used to watched Ashlee Simpson her show too 9-5-18
Apple products IOS hopefully you started reading and learning how to talk and write.
Actually, I'm pretty sure Survivor started all of this nonsense.
Nicole Richie
Back when it was “Real Reality”! 😂😂😂
Wow he’s so emotionally ... abusive. I didn’t even see it then.
Jamie Tripp Utitus oh stop it! She’s said so many nice things about him. They were both young and living their lives on TV.
seriously
I see it too now. So weird I didn't before.
@@beanjackson1797 lol he was 26, she was 19. He should have known better. Stop giving shitty people a pass for being shitty.
she was slow as hell and a spoiled brat. who wouldn't lash out?
Seeing someone reading a newspaper instead of scrolling on their phone is a weird thing to behold now. 😂
Rachel R.E. It’s sad
He was a little bit behind the times - Moviefone had been around for roughly a decade before this show first filmed.
When you have a woman that's doesn't have much experience in regards to household stuff like cooking ect. you have to be patient with her and still remind her that she's your #1 babes even when the food tastes crappy.I went through it and now my wife is a BOSS in the kitchen and still super fine after 17yrs.
LOL, I think it depends because your wife was actually putting in the effort to be a better cook.
I think you're right. A lot of what your saying makes sense. Its very good to be patient, understanding, and encouraging when someone is still trying to learn how to do different things. It helps make things go along more smoothly.
What your saying makes sense too. But a little encouragement along the way doesnt hurt. If you make someone feel like they can do something then sometimes their abilities in it can get better and they begin to feel more confident in themself. Patience is also important and understanding.
Dominique Mcclaney Yeah it really does depend on the effort the person puts into learning certain things. You can't change a person who doesn't wanna change so yeah lol.
+sweetiepie9411 That is true too. But once the person wants to change and wants to learn then what I said and what the other guy says can come into play. If the person doesnt want to change or learn then nothing can be done.
He seems to just strut around the house waiting for her to please him.
Katie Logan not True he’s immature
counterstriving yes I hate that
He's so self-serving. It's gross.
Strutting around drinking beers lol
counterstriving and doing stupid shit like hosing down the driveway just to avoid intimacy with her.
They have zero chemistry at all. I feel really sad for her. He makes her feel so insignificant and not good enough without even hardly trying.
Any toxic guy ever
If my man told me he wanted me to become more of a woman before he proposed , I would have told him "Go find one."
They were not as cute as I thought they were when I was younger watching this. This is sad.
She looks more sad then happy with him
I don't blame her. Who wants a guy who expects you to do EVERYTHING while doing nothing? I'd rather be alone and having fun.
Endoras_Box you’re an idiot
@@amcra1 No. She was the bread winner, the star, and the one who ordered the food even though she didnt cook. He was dead weight, and shes said he punished her for being the better earner and bigger star. She was bringing home the bacon and expected to cook it, foul ass joke.
Spoons no dumb ass. He was the bigger star. Why are y’all trying to rewrite history to make this dumb bitch look better. That’s the reason why they didn’t have a prenup. Her father told her not to sign it because Nick was earning more. Fast forward to win they divorced the roles changed. It’s in her book you dumb asses should read it.
So true, it’s hard to watch
Before I got married, my husband and I had a conversation about marriage. I told him I’m scared to be a wife because I don’t know much. I remember him being a sweetheart and telling that it’s okay and that he will help me and teach me. And guess what? He would cook with me and do things with me. I can now pretty much do anything as a wife. I’m happy that my husband was so loving and understanding towards me. So as I watch this show, it’s really disappointing to see that he’s not much of a help. Marriage is about being a team and making compromises for each other!
kristina1922 that’s beautiful and that’s what I strive to see in my future husband.
You sound very brain washed? When you marry someone you should marry them for who they are and not for the things you can do for them. Being a wife is not a job
He's totally helping! He took care of basically everything else in the house! She was the one that wanted to cook alone for him. In every other episode he's maintaining the property, planning trips, keeping her organized. Her parents spoiled her (by her own admission) which is why she doesn't know how to do anything so I can't really blame her either.
THAT IS AMAZING! :) I really wish that they would have done that with the show. That is truly what a romantic dinner is...not the man yelling at his wife and not giving her a chance! Absolutely agree with you Kristina!
Congrats on your divorce
Wow I remember this use to come on when I was little now I’m an adult 28 yrs old and nick was a full blown narcissist 😩
She is such a sweet girl. He is rude and arrogant.
Shes an idiot and acts like a child
@COCAINE WILLY™️ she couldn't keep him so.. And Vanessa is not a dumb childish bimbo
"Nick wanted me to become more of a woman before he proposed to me..."
No, he wanted you to become more like his mother cause he's an immature, bratty, mama's boy.

Jessica Lynn her way of defending him in a way ..
Lol Yesss God bless her hearttt
Even though this is over and a million years old, I still LOVE LOVE LOVE this. She set so many trends, some I still do to this day.
It’s like 20 years old. If it were a million years old, there wouldn’t be cars and newspapers and stuff.
I'm listening to her book (2021) and it's sad how, behind the scenes, there was so much toxicity. I canNOT stand her father...severely narcissistic/selfish. I'm glad she's in a good place - happily sober with a beautiful family and lots of LOVE!
Which book? I’d love to get it.
She doesn’t look to be in a good place on her IG and interviews. Something is very off
Shs became an alcoholic and talks really slow now. She quit tho. I wish her the best.
What I like about Jessica is that even though she wasn't that domestic at least she made an effort which is more than what I can say about couples nowadays where people don't even care enough to try for the person they're in a relationship with ..nobody tries anymore :/
tylzz94 i agree. She is a sweet woman
tylzz94 true
I try for my husband. I clean, make his lunch, stay home and care for our 11 month old...He works, makes dinner, gets our daughter ready for bed...etc.
Niki Gounaris please learn to cook for him and the kids!!! He won't always be able to do it and he is the sole bread winner! You are home all day...so unfair to the man
Flore Edith I know how to cook. We take our own roles. I'm chasing around an 11 month old all day. Don't act like you know everything. She s still on formula and baby food. Also, my husband is not God's gift to earth. He can cook dinner. It won't kill him. I could be the bread winner, but being home with my child is more important.
She was really trying her best to do something nice for him as to impress him and he was ALWAYS so condescending to her
You're a fat ugly feminist. No question about it.
He took her out on a hot air balloon
They just weren't each others types
that was her best she was annoying ... he wasnt that bad compared to her.
Kailee Garcia I get what you’re saying, but at the same time he was annoyed that she doesn’t have her shit together. He’s a lot more responsible, self-sufficient, & levelheaded than her, & it’s really aggravating being with such a ditz who isn’t capable of doing basic things like grocery shopping & laundry
This is waaay different watching as an adult...
Right
Lol
I can’t believe this is 17 years old and also nick was verbally abusive and didn’t let Jessica be herself. She’s a great person and fun and loving!❤️
The ability to cook doesn't make you a woman. There is more to it than that.
Yeah, she should have focused on belching less to start off with. Should watch the camping episode---very unladylike.
What's ironic is that you're calling me stupid, yet you can't spell "petals".
lol! :D
LOL, yea it's the first step. IF your bitch ass doesn't cook, you're kicked to the curb.
but not much more.
Reality tv was more real back then than it is now.
I know right
Yess
And I love how semi normal their home is for celebrities
The best part of this clip is when Nick looks up the movie time in the newspaper...🙌 who remembers that from back in the day?
Lol. I do. But, the internet was around for like 8 years at this point 😭
@@falsettogod5853 lol...then I appreciate that you were kicking it old school😋

Like: Monday through Friday in cinema #1 Die Hard starring Bruce Willis playing at 7:00 pm, 10:00 pm and matinee at 3:00 pm. They would also tell you if they had special days like : Tuesdays are dollar days for movies starting before 7:00pm. 😅🍿🎦🎭☎️

Awww Jessica. She was so innocent
if innocent means "spoiled cunt", then yes, she was very very innocent.

You're right. I think I was just frustrated with the innate amount of feminist nonsense in these comments. I should correct it to, "These commenters are cunts."
PureWoody sounds like you need to get your emotions in check👌🏽
ProphecyGirl65
Yea for a second there I acted like a woman. I fixed that real quick tho... good lookin out.
PureWoody just admit you hate women and go be gay. We’re all tired of hearing it.
This is a great example of marrying someone for their looks, and realizing that they are not compatible. Just because someone looks good it doesn't mean that they are good for you. 🧡
And their money
I sincerely believe he married her cuz she would only have sex after the wedding 😢
If you read/listen to her book, they did really love each other. They were just young. Young people do dumb shit.

😄😄😄
I’m 36 no husband no kids I love life
Don't settle for less than you deserve. This is what so many of us do...including Jessica.
You don't have to ❤️
Marriage don't mean shit even with kids. Cuz there's no guarantees in life. Not even death. You know life is short. We can be here today. Gone tomorrow. lol
She doesn't have a mean bone in her body, so glad she remarried ♥️😊
Me too! I love her new husband !
I miss when reality shows weren't so scripted! This show was authentic.
They were still scripted but much better done back then

Jorge Velez Something is off about him. He's on Dwts with his current wife...
I judged Jessica for leaving Nick, but now, i can see clearly why she fell out of love. I think they were both very inexperienced, but he was mean
Very mean

Funniest part of this is seeing 20-somethings check the newspaper for movie times and cookbooks for recipes. Now everyone’s just stuck in their phones 😂
Cookbooks are still in though!
Okay, so let me get this straight...
She brings home the money - he controls the finances
She's the reason they have this show...
She's expected to be the bread winner + a 50's housewife?
What exactly is your role, Nick?
None of your business. It's called a show, most of the stuff is set up. She chose to marry him because she loved him obviously. He doesn't have to be the bread winner. Showbiz is not easy and it's a gamble. His voice was better than hers anyway but she had more fame. Just the way it is.
@@JL-uo1di He was so condescending and literally a nightmare partner. Jessica tried and you can see it if you watch the show through.

Omg so young and fresh faced.. I loved this show lol
Wow, this show is HOW old now?? Jessica is so incredibly adorable here. Not a stitch of makeup on and gorgeous as all get out. Always loved her!

I am back here at 2023... It brings back great moment's of them together!!!! I wish they were still together... Thanks Joe!!!!
Don’t blame him. Nick wanted a traditional wife and he didn’t get that. Her popularity rises while his went down the drain and he was bitter and jealous towards her
It’s July 2023, and I will always come back to this for nostalgia.
"So cooking was one of the things I took on to make me a woman"
poor jessica
Ree.thegemini omg these days that comment would get you fired!!!
Jessica was the one bringing home the bacon. Nick should have been the home maker based off his own stupid standards. Jessica Simpson is now a billionaire.
you're a dumb bitch
@I8thumper another dumb bitch
Vona Rose No he didn’t. He was in a failed boy band. She was a huge pop star.
Justin Hopkins wrong. She became more successful throughout the course of this show, but st the start he was more famous and the breadwinner.
Not when this was on he had more money than her.
3:27-4:08 😥 jessica was looking for nick to say “youre not a bad wife. i appreciate you trying. we can eat out tonight & stay in tomorrow. i love you & i appreciate you.” help her put the groceries away. kiss her. & go have a romantic evening.
as an adult, i see how condescending & toxic he was to her & likely her self-esteem. like a mean dad or something. ☹️
this episode alone convinced me that mtv was like hey get married and pretend to be happy newlyweds and we'll give you x amount of money, and they were like ok cool!
They were absolutely in love...ever see them sing together? All the way back to the late 90's? This wasn't just a fluke.
Everyone has an Jessica Simpson moment.
Pretty Love yep that true
Pretty Love yes here's mines....do man wipe when they pee!😂 I really was bored and had a outer body experience when I said that
I was thinking the same thing. Everyone used to say she was so stupid but now looking back she wasnt stupid she was just a 20 something woman adjusting to married life
No, no they don't.
+Jay Hardy Brown she thought Buffalo wings came from Buffalo among other things she has said, she is a little dumb but I wouldn't say completely stupid
this is so sad to watch
The dinner she ends up making looks delicious!👏🏼😁
I have so much more empathy for Jessica now than I did when I first watched this series. She had her shortcomings, but she was willing to make changes to adjust to marriage...Nick didn't seem willing to make any changes or adjust his expectations of her. They were never a team :(
Jessica was the bread winner..When they divorced he got a good share of her money! Nick was useless!

@@amcra1 You're delusional.
j4k2 nah bitch you’re stupid. He was the breadwinner which is why they didn’t have a prenup. So stfu
RhodieM623 your point? He was the bread winner. When they got married she and her father vetoed the pre-nup. In the end she acquired more so she had to pay him. Y’all are stupid as fuck.
He got 12 million. She made it back..by a billion. ☺️
I'd rather my man help me in the kitchen and Have some wine laugh together, than him being a Grinch and take me on a hot air balloon ride
Lmao yeah
It was her dream though. He let her experience her dream but he's still a dickhead and treated her like crap
I love you hahaha
Dude was mean to her but took her on romantic dinners to make up for it, haha smh. Who wants that?
Especially when the air balloon ride wasn’t even his idea it was what the show producers wanted him to do.
That’s how Long ago this was , Looking in tha news paper for the movie 🍿 times and actually going to a movie theater and watching a movie! The good Ole Days ✌️
I love how real and relatable she is
Ummm no. She was the original pick me. The “ditzy blonde” was all an act.
How is ahe relatable? And how do you know she's "real"???
That "Nick wanted me to be more of a woman" comment drives me up a wall. Like she's any less of a woman if she doesn't cook and clean. He seems like such a misogynist looking back.
9melissal Maybe he was just old fashioned and not a misogynist.
Yea as odd as it sounds today, i was in high school during this time and people still talked like that, it was normal
shut the fuck up snowflake
if you dont know how to cook and clean you are a fucking pig ,period
Same I wanted to vomit. I thought that was normal back in high school.
Watching these it just doesn't make sense why nick even married her. He wanted a housewife, a wife that was domesticated and would do everything for him. He knew she was younger, spoiled, and knew essentially nothing about doing things herself. He expected her to change that first year of marriage and never gave her time to grow.
Yea I agree, after watching this now how he's pathetic. But she is now worth 150 million and he's only worth 20 million. So she didn't need that dude for shit!!
That's what you got from this vid?! HE literally does everything. She doesn't, she said so herself on an interview. Her parents should have at least taught her the basics so she can survive on her own. Knowing how to cook doesn't make you a housewife. Learning life skills is a GOOD thing! lol...
"Watching these it just doesn't make sense why nick even married her." He was thinking with his dick, sweetie.
He probably thought he could "mold" her. Pfft
She said she was a virgin until her wedding night. They probably got married so they could finally have sex, lol!
Totally see why he divorced her.. what an airhead
Jessica is really immature and pretty incompetent but she tried really hard to please Nick and he constantly made fun of her and dismissed her feelings. Now that I'm older I completely understand why they didn't work.
she barely tried. She was a useless spoiled bitch.
The show should of been Britney and Nick, she had more skills, tough as a brick wall and all she wanted from a guy was a fairy tale love, thhats it and if he still had a problem with that she didn't mind grabbing a damn umbrella.
SAME
Jessica stood up and he treats her the way she treated herself. She did what he wanted all the time without having his own opinion and he got bored. It is evident because this couple did not work from the beginning, failure was seen
I agree with the first comment because I see the same
2018 she is running a Billion dollar company Go Jessica Simpson
GO JESS!
billion dollar ? relax
Exactly why I'm confused. There are women out there I wont name names (me) who do it all and still broke asf
2020
What company?
I hate people making rude comments about her. She was just young and didn't know any better about marriage. She did just about what everyone does in the early years but hers is shown on t.v....
If she was too young then why in the world did she get married? She made a costly mistake.
Better than the Kardashian’s this seems more like real life.
Steven!! 🤗❤️
Are you nuts
Stfu fatass
That’s because it was
@@kianagates4628 well he’s right
I can tell this is old by the way they’re reading cookbooks and newspapers 😂
I was thinking the same thing 😂😂😂😂
Valerie Glenn most people just google recipes on their phone
OLD?! This happened in the early 00s. That's not old enough to be even somewhat retro. Were you born in '99 or something?
This is the saddest comment I have ever read.
I still read cook books 😑
You can tell he never had a mind attraction to her just a body one.
fun one right but..... Not hating her body was banging like that she just had big boobs and later gain great legs.
what body? :)
This is why i'm not married. I hate feeling obligated to do things.
Annie&jedda OMG😶 that's why I don't wanna get married😬 I wanna do what the hell I wanna do on my own timing when it comes to marriage. Like.....fuck cooking dinner you cook it or go buy yourself something 😕 and clean up after yourself remember your own shit🙃
Annie Harrison im married and can do whatever the hell I want! It's just with the love and support of my husband.
Yeah it's different when you're actually in a happy and healthy relationship... you don't feel obligated and do things for them reluctantly.. but still marriage isn't for everyone
Annie Harrison lol..
Annie Harrison its not even that if u love each other u do it out of love and on both sides , not cause ahh u have to and as well as don't treat the other like a dog , talk together and grow in sympathy and love, means b considerate
He wasn't a grown man he was a punk kid who expected her to submit and cater to him... he didn't reciprocate with love or support her emotionally. Good riddance.
True !
He probably still is utterly immature. Thats part of his education from his parents as a child. Imagine thinking like he thinks your whole life. Old dogs cant learn new tricks or at least how to be with a woman.
Agreed.
I know a couple just like them. He's so insecure and 1950's and they'll never make it.
I never got that impression. He was always praising her and spoiling her with amazing surprises. Look how patient he was with her with the dinner. He never said she had to do it -- she put that pressure on herself.
to me, his attitude comes across condescending towards her, his silent way of making her feel incapable.
You're an idiot
One has to remember,Nick is 7 years older than Jess. He was 29, she was 22. She was also a star by 14 who was spoiled. How could he expect her to transition so quickly into a wife/homemaker. Nick knew what he had when he married Jess. I think he went for looks, no shot a Jess. It's clear she's wasn't mature enough to be married at the time. Best Wishes to them both now.
M Lane Girl..count it as a lesson learned. More and better fish in th e sea. Best Wishes!
Age isn't always a factor, much of it is how someone is brought up, the way people around them lived, learning what they can learn and then knowing what they want. Britney and Jessica were both very innocent in personality, Brit could be very much like a child most of the time and she became the most famous woman in the world at 16 years old. Thing is she knew how to live in a house, clean it, cook, etcs in fact she said as far as cleaning she was OCD about it and only had a maid one day a week due to the house size. And then she had two kids practically back to back while the paparazzi were all over her and given as much money as she had she could of paid someone to do everything, Britney stated in an interview she wouldn't buy a thousand dollar sweater even though that is nothing to her, means she looks at the prices and if they are insane for regular people she wouldn't buy it. I think the only time she would spend big on clothes is if they were for special events.
She wannted a loving marriage and kids and pretty much had that when she was not much older than Jessica. Her only issue was pretty much things outside of the home, trusting the wrong people, etc because when she wasn't taking carre of things she was just a very fun person, she knew how to run a house but she was easily pressured and taken advantage of when it came to the business which I think Nick would have been happy to play protective hero in that department, I would have liked for them to have gotten together instead. To me Justin is more like Jessica, like a spoiled teenage boy, out of control, getting revenge on people, his MV when Britney and him split, though when they were together he wasn't like that so I am sure Jessica's loyalty would have been better suited for him. Point is, each girl should of gotten the other guy.
.
Karen G I agree..something that most ppl I'm noticing forget when they look at these two! Smh
LOVE HER SHOES!!!
Everyone always said she was soooo ditzy. She's not ditzy, she's YOUNG! And doing a damn good job, trying to be a better wife, with alot of outside pressure as well. Love ya girl.❤❤❤
I remember this was the first reality show I’ve ever watched as a kid
real men cook!! period
AMEN!
Real women do too...
IceysMoment real women cook
IceysMoment Real Men have to do everything
IceysMoment 👍🏻
I loved this show. Reality tv was so innocent then. Now life seems so crazy & evil;/
Sam St. Aubin social media
straight up
There is no genuine chemistry between them and I can see it now...😂😂
My opinion is the same. There is no chemistry between them. They don't understand jokes or anything, it's all forced between them. She is very childish and is mistreated
She is trying, Nick give her credit
He did though
Hoes always want credit for trying... lazy bitches
Prolly the first time she was living away from home and has to cook for herself...she's like 19? 20? That's kinda old to not know how to cook but she's trying he's a grown man and she's still a child... :/ At least she's doing it
@@purewoody1623 You sound like you still live at your mama's house. She was the bread winner and still is. Intimated by successful women much?
@@lupeavila4595 here you are wishing you were her lol... sorry Lupe, you can clean a million toilets but you'll only make enough for a night out at Burger King.
I like her without makeup more
the8419 One of those rare beauties that doesn't need an ounce of it!
+racing extinction they're just complimenting her.
jessica looks so unhappy in that relationship and it shows by her facial expressions
Lol poor Jessica. She tried though.
Aww she looks so depressed and unhappy with him
The bitch was useless. All you commenters are fucking dumb. Go watch Mad Men to learn how women should be.
PureWoody that bitch now owns a billion dollar company you must work at Walmart
PureWoody I work on the pipeline making $45 a hr but she is married and has 2 kids the things women can do when we have a good husband to back us up 😂
I think it's a mistake to marry someone who is not willing to be a wife. IMO, a wife is the nurturer of a family. Her role is to have kids, raise them, cook, clean and be a (GASP) good mother. She keeps the balance within. The husband keeps the balance without. He provides and protects his loved ones. Many have forgotten this balance. Women have forgotten their valuable society roles and are instead insisting on taking masculine roles. Just like a key fits a lock, a woman should stay in her lane and do what she does best. And here is the thing... there is NO SHAME in that. It is an honorable, and respected role. It is so VITAL.... but most of you have forgotten that. Father Time will show you individually that what I'm sayin is true... When your ovaries dry up and you miss your window, you'll be alone and completely unfulfilled.
And here's a bit more honesty for you - - if you're husband is doing that for you, he's failing his role as a man. You will eventually lose all respect for him... Sex will drop... and you'll look for a more alpha male to put you in your place. Turn back before it's too late LOL... or not. It's your life.
PureWoody her new relationship is great she seems to be a good mom and I don’t think she’s as stupid as they made her look in the tv show or she wouldn’t be a billionaire if you watched the show nick was so rude and from what I have heard his 2nd marriage isn’t going that well he has a problem drinking sounds like he was a dick
"Why don't you wait til it rains" she so adorable.
Right, in SoCal. XD
Dingy is more like it
NOT adorable, but stupid thing to say. I think her attempt at being funny. Not funny. But he is a total jerk either way!
Why doesn't he cook ?
He clearly didn't marry her for her cooking, lol
He's the typical lazy "traditional" (aka do nothing) husband. A true ball and chain.
Now she's an alcoholic
Massagechik1 she was an alcoholic she is a successful billionaire wife and mother ❤️
Nick is a condescending fool, treating a successful woman like she's back in the 1950's.
Vamp Jam
Old fashion ways are nice
The thing is that mentally she wasn't a mature woman. She still had a lot of mental maturing to do.
Vamp Jam Exactly!! She was a breadwinner and he wanted her to be Betty Crocker ! Wtf? Fuckkk him.
thank god they broke up, she deserves better.
Trudy Bom yessssss
so does he - she is so dumb - one would have to literally explain every little thing to her all day.
And she got wayyyyy better
I think they were doomed from the start
Nah he did she was a lousy wife
this is so cringy to watch...
true.
darkokute he's messed up
