  • Cab ride on the Great Northern railway from Seattle, Washington to St. Paul, Minn. The bad thing is videos show all the discrepancies on your layout. Good things: hand laying ties and rails gives a nice random tie pattern and I like my new trees, both conifers and deciduous.

Amazing, and all the seasons too! Can't believe the detail and amount of work this must have taken.

A lot of hard-work must have gone into that layout! Thanks for sharing. 9:30 must depict a British train station, as one poor chap has collapsed waiting ages for a train...! ;)

Would hate to cross paths with the spiders that left all of those cobwebs on the catenary wires!

The two occasions your train cut off was probably due to a dirty track. A build up of dirt in the metal rails can cause a short circuit in the rails causing the train to stop

I had the turnout set the wrong direction. I just purchased one of those 'all brass' track cleaners and they are really nice.

Neat! Would like to see what you have for heavy electrics for use under those overhead catenary wires?? I know GN had some cool ones!

Amazing layout and great cabride. Your layout was once featured in Railmodel Journal, no? What passenger trains do you run? It would've been cool if the snow scene would've been longer. Thumbs up!

thanks. good memory: that was March of 2005 of railmodel journal. I've got the heavy weight passenger set and the streamlined version plus a 5 car old wooden car set. I've been wanting to put a snow shed in the snow scene area.

Your catenary wires look like crap and are full of dirt. Might as well take them down.
