YEAH, THE ONLY REASON WHY THE DONUT TUTORIAL HAS SO MANY VIEWS BECAUSE OF THAT CLICKBAIT DONUT, BUT IT DOESNT TEACH FUNDAMENTALS FOR BEGINERS

Its just a matter of taste, some people prefer to follow a complete project, some people prefer a review of the tools, its not relevant to compare which one is the best.
In my experience they're complementary, its usualy better to start with a complete project guide to grasp the power of the software and then aim at tool oriented guides to get more variety.

this guide is criminally underrated. most of the time in blender you're gonna spend in editpde extruding stuff, but the beginner guide about donuts is going in depth into various modifiers and other complex geometry WHICH YOU'RE NOT GONNA USE AS A BEGINNER.
im still learning blender (i started today) so this guide will be extremely useful to me ❤️

Over the past couple of weeks I’ve fallen down a blender rabbit hole. If this was one of the first videos I came across to inspire me to fall down that rabbit hole, I would have saved so much time searching for specific instructional videos that I did not yet have the language for. You are a great teacher my friend, and I’ve learned so much from this video that I didn’t previously intuitively know. Thank you for sharing this with us!

FYI: In 3.01 no yellow handle with a yellow disk appears for the Inset Faces tool. Instead, you get a yellow circle around your selection; right-click this circle and you get a menu. Click 'Inset Faces' and your selection responds to your cursor's movement. I am not sure if this is a bug or a modified feature.
