    I found it completely outrageous that a Judge would meet privately with prosecutors and a witness without the knowledge, consent or presence of the defendants. It is even worse that the Judge believed this meeting did not raise an appearance of impropriety by the Judge.

      That's why he wouldn't let Steele make his record. Judge kept interrupting him, asking WHO told him.
      Judge and Ms.Love are withholding exculpatory evidence as to the murder of Donovan Thomas, and the Judge did not want the defense or anyone else to find that out. Woody confessed to it!
      Judge is just trying to cover his own butt by holding Steele in contempt and now ordering a show cause hearing to hold the one who told him in contempt.
      Glanville is a freakin joke. He's a terrible Judge. He might as well be part of the Prosecution team, because that's what he acts like. It's disgusting.

    Watching a lawyer on the right side of a rights violation stand ten toes down despite threats of jailtime and basically extortion/blackmail was unironically the hottest thing I've seen a lawyer do in a while. He said "I know I'm right" and called the Judge's bluff and now it's going to be so much worse than if it was just the whole ex parte meeting issue (edit: AND THE WITNESS WAS ALREADY SWORN IN!), which was already so wild. My poor bestie got like a near twenty minute rant about how absolutely absurd this judge was behaving in just this day alone. (Edit again: The way his co-counsel was like "Well I agree with him so if you hold him in contempt you should know I also know and agree and I should also then be held in contempt" Standing with him, also badass)

    • @yesitschelle
      @yesitschelle 27 дней назад +4

      @@tng_abu3201 The correct thing to do would be to have a hearing with all parties, in chambers or in the courtroom. I imagine people backing out of testimony is a thing. Convincing them to get back on the stand and follow through is a thing, the way they were talking. There must be conversations/lectures available.
      But the prosecution asked for ex parte, which implies something different. And the judge is freaking when a defense attorney found out. That's what caught my attention the most.

    So, the judge, the prosecutor, and a witness have a meeting without the defense being present, and the judge refuses to release the record of the meeting. Apparently, it is the court's opinion that whatever was discussed is none of the defense's business. And when the defense attorney raises the issue, the judge jails him for not announcing who told him about the meeting. Why that is relevant, the judge never says. I mean, talk about a power trip. This judge is practically drunk with power on this. He really thinks his ish doesn’t stink

    *Order of how this played out- Copland was incarcerated by the DA and the judge for pleading the 5th. He came to court Monday in shackles and jail clothes. He “testified” more but was giving the state a hard time. The judge asked for a break. Then he told the Prosecutor (which was caught in Law & Crimes mics) that he was going to “Take the 5th” … They ended the day after that. The next morning. He comes to court in street clothes, No shackles. Steele then brings up the motion… the attorney that was Fired, was the stand in attorney who was present at the closed door meeting. At the end of the bs yesterday, the judge asks the state to go find her… then, this morning. Somehow the judge knows he wants to fire his attorney. Smh This is our judicial system at work!
