This really stinks of: "I investigated myself of wrong doing and I've decided I didn't do anything wrong, screw you."
That’s what we all face at every level of the government, from police to prosecutors to judges to politicians. Our government has usurped its authority and citizens have stood by and watched it happen because “criminals need to go to jail, and those jobs are such hard jobs”. I have no doubt that young thug is a criminal and was/is the leader of ysl the gang, but that does not mean that a judge should throw out the rules to get a conviction. And if it can happen to a “criminal” it will happen to a wrongly accused citizen. This is part of the reason we have innocent men and women in prisons. This is exactly why 3000 people have been wrongly convicted since 1989 (possibly more, but those are the wrongful convictions that have been overturned in that timespan).
I think it is standard for the judge to make the initial ruling on a recusal motion. If a whole new independent investigation were required every time a judge is asked to recuse, wouldn't that be a far too easy way to delay proceedings? So, the judge makes the initial ruling, giving reasons, and then a party can appeal, just like for any judge's ruling. So, it seems like standard operating procedure.
@@macroman52 This is his second recusal hearing and it's for 2 separate motions of recusal from the defense, no way is it standard operating procedure.
@@boanoah6362 you may have not heard the judge read all the law that he thinks supports his actions. So I am not sure what you think is not standard operating procedure. That’s seperate from whether the judge gets overturned on appeal.
It's really not, though. False equivalence. This stinks of "I'm pasting a boilerplate copy/paste comment that you can find on virtually any video on the entire platform for likes, screw you"
Has anyone else besides me?Lost faith in judicial system
Late to the party. 😁
We no longer have a Justice System, we now have a Legal System, OF, BY and FOR the Criminals running things, to violate everyone's rights and act sanctimonious as though what they are doing is GOOD and Just, when in fact IT IS NOT!
No. Because now that we have access to see all of this stiff, I expect we'll be holding more folks accountable. Which will cut back on this corruption crap!
I lost Faith in the Judicial system under Clinton.
I lost faith when I lived in Atlanta years ago. I relocated and will never pass through or go to that state ever again.

@cwill2065 what's sad in this case, he was. He served 25 years in the Army reserve and retired as a brigadier general in the US Army reserves and was a judge in the military appeals court as well if I'm not mistaken.
If anything he is grossly uneducated in the civilian judicial system. He made a fool.of himself by not having his shit together when he chose to hold the attorney in contempt but didn't know the difference between criminal and civil when challenged by the attorneys attorney.
The way he acted on the stand and how he didn't include the defense in the "secret meeting" is totally baffling to me. He literally brought this criticism on himself for doing shady shit like that.

Hearing this come from law enforcement where I live would never happen. It’s refreshing and encouraging to know there’s still some good guys out there!
As a former officer. I applaud you. Alot of political play is involved. I've seen many officers lie under oath and still get away from it. Yes the system has the upper hand.
They instructed the officers to turn off their body cameras!!! Dirty judge and prosecutors
Shud be dismissed immediately
lol that depends on what he did huh
❤
Body cams not normally used in any of those type of settings. Not in court or police office meetings. That was not purpose of design. It was for use during investigation and arrest of public , in public to cut down on reports of physical abuse and other inappropriate behaviors so I do not find that odd. Exparte is suppose to be private. Taped on police record negates privacy. Police tapes not sealed and openly available to be viewed by any number of persons. The officers could leave and immediately show to any persons if desired outside the room, post it or anything for a variety of motives
Do you know why cops need to wear body cams? Its not because we dont trust them... its because we trust them so much 😂😂😂 @gooodies4u1
my personal opinion, that judge should be removed from the courts, and made accountable for misleading the defence
The judge needs to be sent to jail.
If not, he just nailed the coffin of equal justice
Case should be dismissed, and the judge & prosecutors should be criminally charged...
For what? Because they SEEM to be colluding? No. That's not how evidence works.
Your case just blew up in 10 seconds.

Absolutely
At the very least, misconduct.
IMMEDIATELY ...
This is unbelievably corrupt. How is the judge getting away with this?
This kind of thing happens more than you would think our justice system is only just if you are rich and white.. and preferably female.
He won't get away with it though. Every lawyer I have seen has said this is an automatic mistrial so everything from this point on his purposeless. And the Georgia supreme Court has already directly stepped in. But this is the law and there are specific processes for everything. They don't take shortcuts

It usually slide by and the defendants get totally screwed, but this is getting the attention it deserves because Brian is an excellent well respected attorney who is willing to put his money and his azz where his mouth is and stand on principles and our constitutional rights. Not many, if any, would do this for their client. Because he is this strong of a righteous person, the other lawyers were willing to follow suit, so it disrupted and made the point this judge and prosecution team are corrupt and working with one another. This is such a huge thing that it will become a movie, a book and be in history books. It’s not far off Rosa Parks, making a stand in the name of humanity and equality.
They need to take a look at all the previous cases this prosecution and judge oversaw. You can’t trust anything they’ve had their hands in after this, and you certainly can not trust them going forward. He basically ruined his career and has called all his decisions and way in which he runs the court into question. He is working for the state, which is everything a judge should not be doing- working for either side with a bias, and being ok and taking part in shady business and hiding communications pertaining to the case. It’s only being taken so seriously too because it was publicized and the public can put pressure on certain groups to do the right thing. Sad that it needs to be public for it to be taken seriously.
Court reporter then ALSO becomes a witness as to what reactions or pressure the judge placed on Her to change the transvript,
I wish she'd let me witness her Jesus could they find a finer ummm you say reporter lol, we gonna all turn into woody!!
Yeah, that explains her very deep frown. I understand now. 😮
So basically, a judge has the power to do what he wants. He can be appealed but that's a high bar to clear for those seeking appeal.
The court reporter was asked to step out of the meeting and deputies were told to turn off their body cameras. The ex parte should have never taken place, case closed. Judge is biased without a doubt.
no way… im only a few minutes in, and that sounds crazy to me. 😮
The court reporters deep frown speaks bundles. She never looks happy or even content to be there. Does she know she's on camera? 😂
He never lets the lawyers finish a statement…90% of the defense has been cut off and interrupt
I would like to see the overruled/sustained ratio on defense motions in this trial.
True! They always get interrupted mid sentence
Let's not for the hand signals with the DA and judge comfort break 😢
He always cuts off the attorneys. Never allow them to speak. Soon as they start talking the judge cuts them off. Never do that to the prosecution.
I think he’s keeping those defense arguments off the record. I find this judge’s conduct extremely concerning. An outside body needs to investigate this court and the prosecutor’s office. They have given the impression of collusion. It needs to be investigated
You are opening peoples eyes to see how Judges could be bad. Thank you for taking part to review this case online so we can see for ourselves how corrupt judicial system is
I had heard on another RUclips channel with attorney it's called "Inside the law" that the the appellate Court is referred this to go straight to the Supreme Court. They said the Supreme Court is looking at it right now.

I am a 68 year old Brit who loves her youtube. I started watching family vlogs but soon got interested in the true crime sites. One thing that I have heard over and over again is that most U S citizens feel that USA have the best and fairest judicial system in the world. I have to say this Judge is managing to make Justice look ridiculous. I have watched enough trials to know this is not the norm. Just stick a silly wig and a red nose on this crooked judge and send him to the circus. By the way I love this site Peter and have found your explanation of what is going on really helpful. Your Dad is also very interesting, I love him.
The fairest justice system? That's a difficult claim to make considering that every state handles their own cases and a federal court that handles theirs. That's a lot of different courts. Some states are fairer than others.
Couldn’t Steele file a complaint with the judicial commission? Then the judge and Steele would be directly adverse, and Glanville would be disqualified from presiding over this trial.
Anecdotally, several years ago, I had a judge take me in chambers ex parte to demand that I withdraw a pleading that called out the judge for her refusal to rule on my discovery motions prior to trial. She said she would grant me my requested continuance only if I withdrew my motion; otherwise she would go forward with trial immediately, despite the unresolved discovery issues.
I filed a judicial complaint against her for improper ex parte communications and bias. I went to the administrative judge, who removed the corrupt judge from all of my cases and entered an order that the judge could no longer be assigned my cases.
Nothing ever came of my complaint because that’s just the way it works, but at least I got the judge removed from my cases.
It's crazy that an apppeal (that will take years) is the only way to review this Judge's conduct. There needs to be a real time process for overseeing Judges. Who holds them to account? Just crazy.
The JQC for Georgia will probably be investigating and if a complaint is filed, he will have to pay for this.
It wont take years this process has went straight to the Supreme Court the hearing on said matter is June 25th

If I was a juror in one of these cases that goes on for weeks or months at a time, I doubt I'd be able to maintain an adequate level of focus to remember enough info to do justice for either side.
How did this man ever get to be a judge? The attorneys have to school him on the law constantly. He seems to read a lot from his computer instead of having said information in his head. 🤦♀️

I seen Bumpas doing an interview today, she admitted she told Steele, and said there were 14 people in the secret meeting.
Between this, KR & the Delphi judge, I seriously pray, as a low income single mother of 2 teenage boys, we never end up in this system of corrupt judges - it’s terrifying knowing I would not have the means to defend my sons or myself and it’d all quietly go down without anyone noticing 💔 Just look at how the system treated Brianna Miccilo, ignoring her hundred calls for help, until it was too late. Everybody involved in law in Fulton county must be suspected of corruption. It's their own fault as if they are not corrupt...they let it happen. Quilty of Inertia.
Reminds me of cops accused of grape coverup in the 80s . When dust settled it was all fake but public outcry was as if no outcry ever existed to begin with
The other very large issue is that he continues cutting counsel off and not allowing the Defendants’ counsels to make a the necessary records.

It's gross.
Sound familiar?
In order for the judge and prosecution to have coordinated for this ex parte meeting, they necessarily had to have engaged in other ex parte communications.
Thank you so very much for covering this! As a Fulton county resident whose been watching this from the beginning, I’ve been appalled at the injustice I’ve seen and am hoping that something finally changes!
In the affidavit, it was also asserted that the court reporter was present intermittently. Secrets inside of the secrets with the body cams off and the reporter removed. RIDICULOUS!

Great reason to have cameras in the courtroom!!!! We need to see what can happen depending on what judge we come before in the court.
Near 100% of cases I’ve watched (quite a Lot!) the Judge goes out of their way to Prevent Appeals! WTH!
Why would the judge keep anything from the defense attorneys? They should have been in the meeting. NOTHING SHOULD BE PRIVILEGED. The judge is crooked and biased. Ugh. The Supreme Court should jump in NOW.
I hope no one forgets that while appeals are made, the defendant stays in jail. This corrupt judge knows that and it shows that he doesn't care if an innocent person sits in jail because of his corruption.
There are no innocent people that the defense attorneys are representing. They are worse criminals that the judge and da's office.

That’s a great question. I wish I understood the law, court proceedings, and “rules” better.
One thing to think about is imagine a system where every attorney can ask a judge to recuse and wait for another judge to rule. Cases will never get finished, it's too much, if lost they can appeal.

I wonder the same. What’s with all people like other judges that see this right now?
The corruption goes too deep, and too high up.
The judge and District attorney perfectly represent the people of Fulton County.
Judges can be removed by the people. You only need three. The issue is that it would be the Sherriff that would have to arrest and remove him, and the Sherriff is working with the Judge. All that being said, because people don't know enough about law, they don't have an understanding about roles. The coroner is the highest Agent on land. He could remove the judge, but he is likely working with the Judge too :) . Bottom line, the judge can still be removed even with all of that. He's getting away with it because even lawyers (judges included) don't know true law.
I cannot imagine how uncomfortable Mr. Steele must feel speaking up to the judge. I cannot help but think that Alan Jackson could not remain as calm as Mr. Steele! He seems humbled.
That’s because attorney Steele actually has integrity and is an ethical attorney . Alan Jackson is nothing but a fast talking, disrespectful used car salesman.

His judgment is so clouded that he cannot see straight. And now he’s in wayyyyyy over his head and just keeps doubling and tripling and quadrupling down. 😮
Obviously. Nothing would be gained at this point by admitting he was wrong. It's like Jussie Smollet. He gains nothing by admitting he made it all up.
"you underestimate my power"
Corruption to the core. The secret squirrel meeting did in fact take place. They will certainly appeal this ruling.
Facts !!! This the most corrupt you can get. And he thought NO attorney would say anything
Hey Peter! Thanks for bringing us the highlights of this case. I also wish you would create some quick tidbits of the FSU ACC case. Many don't understand it. Some YT shorts would be super! Pretty please and GO Noles!
The worst part is that if you think these defendants are guilty then this will probably cause their victims to get no justice.
Is the judge eating something at the same time Mr. Steel is arguing paragraph 12? How rude!
Yea talking and chewing in open court on tv
Yeah it sounded like he was chewing a cough drop or something, you can see him put it in his mouth at 47:20 . Rude and disgusting to do that on the open mic and while talking at 50:19
U didn’t hear him blow his nose Loud in the Micro while steel was talking ? This is the last case in his career
yes, i think a cough drop
Talking and chewing. Really!! More like smacking what was in his mouth!!!! Eeewww
I saw the attorney questioning the defiant witness pull her right ear and then the judge pulled his right ear. Something is not passing the smell test
I love watching you and your dad work together. Thanks for all the education
Keep it up guys. This is fantastic
So basically this circus will go on. Judge gets a pass and the tax payers just keep putting out for these corrupt DA’s and judge!
I can’t say where I work but I heard this judge is in trouble , it will be last case he tries
How can a judge rule on a motion in which they are a constituent party? That seems so wild!
This what I’m saying I would through it will be another judge to decide
He is the CHIEF JUDGE of Fulton County. No one will go above or against him. He knows this and he will just rely on the Appellate Court to rule in his favor. As long as it takes for cases to reach an appeal date, the interest in this case will have died out and as old as he is, he might be old enough to retire and it won't affect his job at all! Such a joke
Thank you both for your steady work on this. In fact in all you do for us! I appreciate you both very much. Stay well!
The court reporter was in and out of the room during the ex parte meeting so the transcript of the meeting is incomplete. The judge who is the subject of the hearing will edit and further limit the usefulness of transcript. Just another day in Fulton county.
The 2nd chair for Williams has stated on the record that he knows the same information as Steele but was not asked by the Judge for the source and therefore not held in contempt. Dislike of counsel (Steele)?
I ain't gonna lie Judge Glan a little racist toward white lawyers
Interesting point….
Is it normal for the court reporter to go in and out of the room during the exparte meeting? How can they prove what was said if she wasn't present the entire time?
I Really Love You And Your Fathers Commentary And I Love the Fact that You Both Are Attorneys to be Able to Give a Better Perspective On This Trial ‼️‼️I Thank you Both For Your Voice‼️
It terrifies me that no one can do anything to stop this trial.
It’s scary! Sigh The fact that they get to keep wasting millions of taxpayer dollars knowing that this case will be overturned on appeal is so unethical. This is what it looks like when you have a bunch of people who have never created or run a BUSINESS!
He's getting away with it because even lawyers (judges included) don't know true law.
fellow florida lawyer here! so impressed with what you’ve built here!
This only shows the Judge's complete corruption, biases and his abuse of power bcuz of his huge ego and stubbornness also not accepting the fact of him being in the wrong and the fact he was caught
Who can hold this judges accountable??? What a corrupt pos.
I really worry about this judge. Shady!!
