    If you don’t feel comfortable with the new thumbnails don’t use them. Don’t compromise what makes your channel unique, which is in large part due to your authenticity. Stick to your guns and do what you feel is authentic. Your instincts haven’t let you down so far and your channel is growing exponentially. Been watching since Rittenhouse, fyi. Just keep on keepin’ up the good work.

    I have no idea how it pans out legally, but... Working in production for 16 years, I do know... In reality, the EP title is for no other reason than financial. So no EP, Director, Actor, or any creative person is going to be directly involved in the day to day happenings of the crew and what they're up to. They don't want to be. Ironically, the people who WOULD be directly responsible for that, I have never heard mentioned in anything since the incident... The Production Manager and Line Producer. They're directly involved in hiring, firing, and the day to day issues of the crew. If people came to them and complained, and they ignored it... the buck really stops with them. Not that I don't think Alec should be punished, he should... But the fact that we have a 5 day trial for "illegal bookkeeping", and just 8 days for manslaughter... Says a lot about the state of the country, and makes me think he will get no punishment. Hope I'm wrong.

  • @sawyerandsand6486
    @sawyerandsand6486 2 месяца назад +6

    Working filmmaker here. I’ve done many films of similar budget levels with action and gunfire on set. It’s absolutely correct not to be able to use both actor and producer arguments. 1) most actors with comparable celebrity level names who have producer credits on a film are OFFERED that title and credit as a way to get them to sign on to the film by the ACTUAL producers controlling the film production hires. Unless it’s a film the actor has also written and is also directing, they have virtually no control over, input or even knowledge of ANY of the crew being hired and their input is generally limited to other actors being considered for costar roles as well as script input and marketing input. When it comes to how the set is run, they can talk to the other producers if they have an issue, but they are not the ones hiring and firing anyone and they are definitely not the one instituting any of the structure on set for how things are run. So if it’s a matter of negligence by the producers, then it should be addressed to the group of producers as a whole and there would be MANY other producers in line ahead of Baldwin who are FAR more responsible than he would be for the negligence in who was hired and what safety precautions were in place while filming. Furthermore, at the moments when a producer/actor is on set acting, he/she is in NO way performing duties as a producer. He is being given direction by the directors and crew about where to stand, where to look, what to do, etc.

    • @sawyerandsand6486
      @sawyerandsand6486 2 месяца назад +3

      In my honest opinion the people most responsible for this accident are the armorer, the first assistant director (who is responsible for all safety checks and is the one who is supposed to have cleared the safety of any weapon on set before its handed to any actors or other crew members) and the specific producers who were actually in charge with raising funds as well as hiring and firing crew…specifically the producers who’s company would have been the one to make all the contracts including Baldwin’s contract.

      Monetary issues, crew strikes, scheduling issues and so on may have been on his mind for most of the time and could be at play here. However, when you see him rushing the armourers in that scene shown in the other trial, that was Alex the actor, in the zone. It was introduced in the Gutierrez trial because it was the boss demanding a speedy reload. But it was the actor who recklessly waved a gun around, who discharged it too close to a cameraman and who had his fingers on a trigger causing a death. Alex the star of the film, intent on keeping his star burning bright, was reckless in that pursuit. I see why the judge did this.

    It is inconsistent though for Bryan Carpenter to testify that it is the armorer's sole responsibility to feret out live rounds and ensure the gun is safe, and then argue that Baldwin is still responsible for things that go wrong after that. If the armorer has 100% responsibility, then by implication Baldwin has 0% responsibility. That is a contradiction.

She allowed the prosecution to walk all over her in the last trial and pull so much bs and now she is punishing the lawyers for it. "Baldwin starred in the 2016 film 'Blind,' and, according to Jennifer Gelfer, who was lead producer on the project, Baldwin received an executive producer credit on the film as part of his deal as an actor but served no other producorial role. However, he was still very much a leader on the set, even bringing in his own stunt coordinator for a few scenes when the budget was tight."
    Because not all "producers" are producers. There are 13 "producers" on this film, but they aren't all in charge, and they aren't all BEING charged because they aren't all Alec Baldwin. This is 100% about politics and personality, not titles. I'm sure people WERE intimidated by Alec Baldwin and reluctant to confront him - as they would be with ANY star on ANY set. Just as there are now 20 songwriters on every song (because everyone wants ownership whether they deserve it or not), stars now get producer titles. That title could give Baldwin script approval. It could be that he's accepting a lower salary as an actor in exchange for the possibility of more money in the long run. It could be for the purpose of making him eligible for best picture awards. He might have invested some of his own money. It could just be a courtesy title. Nobody knows exactly what responsibilities, if any, he actually had as a "producer."

They hired HG on the cheap and made her do 2 jobs with no staff. One of the reasons HH died was inexperienced hires and bad judgment on the producer side.

      This producer stuff is civil liability. The Rust production company was fined by OSHA in 2022 with over $136,000 for on-set safety failures. They settled for $100,000. Alec Baldwin has been charged as the guy who held the gun and shot an innocent person.
      Alec Baldwin knew it was a real firearm capable of firing live rounds, assumed the gun was loaded with dummies, pointed it at Halyna Hutchins, cocked the hammer, touched the trigger, and killed Halyna Hutchins. This is the very definition of involuntary manslaughter through negligent handling of a firearm. The applicable state laws are NM Stat § 30-7-4 and § 30-2-3.
      He was legally responsible for safely handling the firearm and not endangering someone else. He could have done this by checking the firearm for any live rounds, not pointing it at Halyna Hutchins, not cocking the hammer, or not touching the trigger. ANY of these actions would have saved Halyna Hutchins' life. The combination of ALL of his actions constitute criminally negligent handling of a firearm.

      LMTT. Basic firearm safety. Went through my state's CCW course, and this was drilled into my head: LMTT.
      Treat every firearm as it's LOADED until you yourself check the chamber and clip.
      Keep your MUZZLE in a safe direction at all times since that is where the bullet will go (loaded or un).
      Know your TARGET and what is beyond it.
      Keep your finger off the TRIGGER unless you intend to destroy your target.
      With a firearm that has a hammer, the bullet isn't projected until the hammer meets the pin, which is caused by either pulling the trigger, or fast releasing the hammer - both of which are human interaction UNLESS something is wrong with the mechanism that holds the hammer in place, but I haven't heard anything of that nature. This trial should be interesting.
