Duhrell was never shocked.
He had soft restraints on his ankles🙄
Cause you and I both know there would have been several slips of the shock button!!!😂
Dog with the way darrell acted it would been more like 20 times just like whoops dropped it whoops flipped it over whoops sat on it etc lol@@Lei-AICPhD
"You can't force me to stay somewhere when I'm requesting to leave..." He's gonna find out about that in prison.
Iactullyfeel addorhis new roommate
That was hilarious. Also when he said he doesn’t consent to be tried for murder- LOL!! Then he said repeatedly that he doesn’t consent to the trial, and he doesn’t understand how they can proceed viewing evidence without his consent. And of course how he doesn’t consent to being moved here or there and he doesn’t understand how it can all happen without his permission 😂 I wonder if he currently consents to being imprisoned at Dodge Correctional.
I was literally yelling that as the tv when he said that! Great minds!
I loved when the judge said “I haven’t seen a page turned” 🤣🤣🤣
Ha! True that! He uses the Bible and Religion as a weapon, not as a saving force.
I’ll give him credit - at least it wasn’t upside down.
Darrell just wants everyone to know there's two sides to this story: Behind the wheel and under it.
Clever🤣
Exactly. That’s what he told Erika earlier in November 2021 when he ran over her with the red suv and broke her foot and leg. Either she accept his proposal of marriage and stop talking to Milwaukee prosecution about the incident; to tell then it was her fault, drop the charges, and pay his bond. Erika didn’t do what he told her so his mom, Dawn paid. Erika was to repay his mom per Darrell. But he threatened to hurt her more even kill her or have her killed. Check with TheSouthernLaw. Darrell is dangerous.
@@cynthiatucker2147wow thank god this dude is locked up now. Obviously everything he’s ever done is horrific, but for some reason him ordering erika to pay back his mom for his bail money is especially ridiculous and egregious to me
He's stuck in eternal juvenile delinquency. Total nightmare for everyone who ever has to share his space.
I absolutely understand why his exes friend didn't want her to meet with him. Omg.
It's amazing, during the jury instruction rant, that he yells that he hears the judge, YET does not have earphones on. He then immediately goes back to not being able to hear🤣
SMH, it was a fairly obvious ploy. I love the way the judge strung him along giving him Second Chances until he finally would say something that acknowledged that he'd actually heard what she said. What a faker.
Right! 😂
Thought that too, even saw at one point she said something very quiet and he responded instantly without headphones
Maybe he blew his own ear drums when he was having his tantrum earlier, when he yelled so loudly the adjacent courtrooms could hear.
"I can hear everything you say."
Maybe he regreted shouting that because then he goes into "I don't understand" rant.
The most revealing insight into how the Jurors will decide was the Covid discussion. Jurors were given a chance to skate out of there by saying they have concerns since two other Jurors came down with Covid. Each one said during thorough questioning by the Judge that they wanted to continue to serve and had no concerns. You could hear in their voices a clear determination to proceed. That’s people from the community determined to see justice done.
You can’t force me to do anything, he says as he’s chained to the desk.
At some point he said something like "you can't keep me somewhere if i don't consent!!" I was laughing like have you heard of a jail sir?
It's incredible how he's made himself his own worst enemy.
What a nightmare of a young child and teenager he must have been.
I see now why his mother wouldn’t let him in her house when he became homeless. Can you imagine the abuse she has taken over the years, she’s like a abused spouse, she keeps allowing him to treat her horribly.
This is what being a teacher is like these days. Darrell Brooks is like my students. 😢
Thanks for the breakdown, Peter! The amount of control and effort *EVERYONE* in that courtroom is exerting in order to ensure they don't create ANY grounds for a mistrial or appeal is simply superhuman and worthy of sainthood in my opinion.
100% agree. The judge is incredible. 👏👏 Kudos to the DA too 🙌
I hope the judge has a loving supportable person at home, because she needs it. I feel so badly for her.
3 kids is nothing compared to handling this big whining kid!
Has a husband and three kids. Not sure the ages of the kids.
And a mega pint each night! Hahahha
PETER! I must have thought at least a dozen times today how cool it would be to actually watch closing arguments live with you. Please do it!!
Agreed 👍💯
AGREE. !!
Agree!
Haha when he got called out for ignoring the jury and verdict forms and throwing them to the side was my absolute favorite moment
I never thought I’d be interested in another case after Johnny Depp’s case but I am! Glad the lawyers are back on RUclips on this one.
The more you understand about the law, the more interesting it gets.
@@felixoupopote I agree with you 😆
Natalie lawyer chic has been covering it from the start and is very awesome and smart
even more now because there`s more at stake. If the jury had found against Johnny, that would`ve sucked but well the public heard him. But if there is anyone with any definitely unreasonable doubt in that jury, who thinks he shouldn´t be convicted because it wasn`t deliberate, than I think the world gets pitchforks they would have to refile the DV charges and give him a very long sentence on the counts he is found guilty on, best give him life for those.
Last time I saw any court proceedings that interested me was OJ ! And he was guilty too!🎃🎃
This case is so insane. I love the way the judge is handling him now. 🇨🇦❤
Lol. Lol, She not doing as great az you think
She's rattled
@twochaudio mg Nah she playedit perfectly. Better than any of us could. She appeared to bow to him tune just long enough for there to be no doubt of a fair trial, and now the rug has been ripped from under him. The rest of the trial he'll be bulldoxed, just as he is starting to fall apart at the realisation of life in prison.
Man. I’m sure most of us have experienced difficult people in some capacity or other, however, I can’t imagine the level of patience this takes. Day after day and for hours on end. Mad props to the judge!
Now you understand why teachers shouldn’t have to fight to be paid the way they deserve
@@MrsBrown-mz3co I’ve got a special needs kiddo. Very well aware of that fact. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@@MrsBrown-mz3co exactly. The world is getting a glimpse of what teachers deal with on a daily basis. Just multiple that by about 25-30 students per teacher!
@@MrsBrown-mz3co Exactly!
This is how it looks like to be in a relationship with a narcissist!!! One can imagine the pain and torture 😩
He’s angry, grasping for straws. Making chaos ,avoiding the questions, because he’s finally realizing it’s basically over & knows he’s looking at a life sentence in prison
IMO Tomorrow DB is going to be at the height of his anxiety which will be manifested in anger on a level we haven’t seen in this trial yet.
I think you are absolutely correct. He might do something even dumber then that. He might not make it through the night without killing himself. I know Narc typically don't do that but DB might be an exception to the rule.
I agree.
IDK... if DB has something to do, like a closing speech, he usually settles down and gets to it. I don't think his behavior is from anxiety as much as its calculated disruption and manipulation. We'll see.
@@Johnny-lj8zb 100% he is in the Hannibal Lector ward of the Waukesha county jail. He isnt gonna be able to end himself. If he tries he will end up in a green turtle suit.
Ya know, for someone who opened with “there are two sides” as his narrative, I walked away from this trial with NO idea what his side of the story actually is. Were cops chasing you into the crowd? Did the car malfunction? Was the parade path not marked clear enough?
My best guess, after listening to a news interview video, from the Boyfriend of the woman who walked to the park with DB's girlfriend -
He said:
_"I feel bad because after DB had hit her, I called the police. Then DB made a U-turn and came back. I told him to just leave because the cops are on their way. Then I heard the police siren and asked DB if he heard the siren too? I told him again to just leave. DB freaked out and sped off, fearing arrest. I think he was caught in the parade route and just kept going. I don't think he intended to hit people but got himself into the situation. Him being so angry, he freaked out and wasn't able to think clear. So I feel responsible. I shouldn't have warned him and let him get arrested right there."_*
I think he's going for all of the above, just grasping at straws.
What a show if he throws everything to the wall and hopes something sticks. Because if he goes with one well defined argument, maybe, just maybe he could have a chance. But if he goes with multiple arguments, possibly ones which contradicts others, it's same as no contest 😄
Pretty much assumable that his side of the story is in line with the evidence. That‘s what the fuss and resistance is all about.
@@Shyeena that witness shouldn’t blame himself, Darrel Brooks chose to drive away, he chose to drive through road closed barriers, he chose to drive into people, he chose not to stop, he chose to ditch the car and runaway. He also chose to drive the wrong way down a street to get into a fuel station before the parade started.
It’s like watching someone drill holes in the bottom of his boat to let the water out! 😂
Can't find it, but whoever said this--- you ROCK!
"Order in the fort!" LOLOL
Hope we will hear from this judge after this case is over. She is amazing.
She is awsome. Sort of reminds me of Katherine Foster when she was a judge many years ago. ❤
Peter, I was watching the trial this morning (Tuesday) and the judge was still indulging him so much that I started to have heart palpitations and had to turn it off.
Who would have thought that jury instruction was a combat sport? I think these past few weeks have been very empowering for DB. In many ways, he has been in control of this trial. He was able to stop it, throw a wrench into it, or allow it to go forward without much ado. The judge got a lot of flack in the beginning for being too lenient. But she protected the record, and she tried to protect DB with him kicking and screaming the whole time. Today he discovered that the control he had was illusory. It triggered the hell out of him. Tantrums didn't work, his semantics games didn't work, and twisting the judge's words did not work. I don't know how she did it, but the state was able to try their case.
His closing argument will be very very short.
Yes she needed his cooperation and was obliged to in effect to negotiate with him. Now it doesn't matter if he spends the rest of the trial muted. He can do closing arguments just fine from the other room. She has pwned him. Incidentally this is probably the best he has behaved his entire life. Now, Wisconsin, change the law to allow PD stand by counsel.
@@robcrissinger776 It'll either be very short, very long or will not happen at all. Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.
@@Songbirdstress I'm not even sure how a sov cit/moor would blend with an actual lawyer who knows how to navigate the court system. They can't shut up, even when it's in their own best interest.
@@belishabeacon9761 I think that's a big reason he did it, the lawyers will have refused to do that. it would get them disbarred.
MY OPINION IS WHEN HE DIDN'T STOP WHEN THE FIRST POLICE OFFICER TRYED TO STOP HIM THAT SHOULD BE ENOUGH FOR INTENTIONAL HOMICIDE
Cudos to the judge on her professionalism and control during this trial🖐🏽
he acts like he cant hear but as soon as he realises he can no longer testify hes so pissed so he heard that. He had no intention of calling his mother or testifying.
@@Dany_Stormborn I think he was going to try and prove that the photos came from his ex-girlfriend and possibly get her back on the stand? It sounds like something and abusive narcissist would do.
I watched the whole day...it was crazy right from the start...great stream tonight again
This case is 100% going to be used in intro to law courses as a "what never to do" in court segment 😅😅😅
Time stamp 4: 50-4:56 in the Law & Crime trial recording. Instruction 315 "defendant elects not to testify" to be given only if requested by the defendant. He refused to answer multiple times. Because of his refusal, she is not adding instruction 315 to the jury instructions. Big score for the prosecution. It was snuck in there in some non-fort building parts of today so I believe it got missed by a lot of people.
Thank you 😍 I did miss that. I have to confess that after hours of Brooks' toddler tantrums, I tend to glaze over.
Replay crew checking in!! Can’t wait to hear your take on this insane day!
For DB it's a case of "why be difficult when, with a little more effort you can be impossible!"
Follow the law… jury nullification *IS* built into the law through the well-known non-penalty for juries who nullify. The judicial system itself is designed to balance written law (legislation) and law execution (penalties). Marijuana is a good example, especially recently. So, as a juror, I would see no problem agreeing to follow the law during jury selection and later nullifying written law-because that is how we keep the law updated, by not enforcing 200-year-old, old, old, irrelevant laws, as yet another example.
I was so proud of the judge yesterday. She handled it beautifully. ❤
I own a daycare and sadly I see parents who want peace at any price for their little ones. They are shocked how they obey me completely but will act so bad as soon as I hand them over. They know my rules and they know with 100% accuracy they will miss out on something fun if they disobey. I want them to be successful in the next step which is school. I've met a few Darrells and I terminate care. I need parents to be parents. Darrell's mama should be ashamed.
I feel for everyone that's involved in the day to day courtroom proceedings during this trial including the court reporters who have had to work so hard to preserve the record.
I hope the attys, judge, bailiffs and clerks can take a few days off to decompress and breathe once this is over.
Ty for your coverage Peter! I always enjoy your perspective.
This judge is a saint. Live for closing arguments
Brooks told Dorrow before she moved him he did not have to answer the question from the other court room either ..
So wish you and EDB could do a joint live for closing arguments and verdict!!!
Im telling you now, when he’s found, whatever it may be for, they are going to have to gag him if she wants him to stay in that room. He’s not going to sit there and listen to victim impact statements or his sentencing. Mark my words!
"I'm not stupid"
'I disagree, Mr. Brooks'
SO his mom didn’t come in to rescue him...I wonder if she, too, finally decided not to let her son bully her anymore. Last week he was all “ if I tell her to come, she gonna BE here”. Really curious about that.
Yes, I had read on another thread she actually went to work. Hopefully, she finally realized she needs to cut all ties to this maniac before he takes her life down even further than he has. Her not showing is definitely why he came In angry this morning, embarrassed after he boasted about her doing whatever he tells her to do.
He woulda severely got it growing up if he was my boy but he could never be my son cos my kids are good looking.
She wasn't gonna be questioned by opper. She's a female darrell brooks. She should be in there with him
The judge was spot on today. Definitely took her time over the weekend and supposedly sought some senior advice.
I have really enjoyed watching your take on the Brooks case. A live closing/verdict stream would be a great way to end, what can only be described as a 💩 show of a trial. This man's (and I use that word very loosely) lack of care, emotion & respect towards the victims and their families is utterly repulsive. I cannot wait for the judge to throw the book at him!
DB reminds me of students I have had in the past. They disrupt in class and blame everyone else for everything bad that happens to them. Many of them ended up in prison as young adults. Some claim it’s defiant disorder. I think it’s spoiled kids never having to be accountable.
Lack of Fathers
@@hardinmichael1981 well he has a dad that made bomb threats to a casino lol
Sickening. He is extraordinarily manipulative. He cried for himself. Not the hundreds that he terrorized, the sixty plus that are injured and the six that he murdered.
On day 16, Judge Dorrow has had enough of toddler Brooks sh!t.
Can't imagine how relieved everyone will feel when this is done. I can't imagine having sat on this jury. I don't have patience. I think I will stand up and give an ovation to this judge when it goes to jury (I hope) tomorrow. I will be able to watch LIVE with you tomorrow.
Yeah I’m not that good at hiding my emotions on my face… so the disgust would be visible 😂
@@sww3405 Same. I never play poker; my face is full of my thoughts lol
I end up watching your lives after the fact but I watch from beginning to end because you DO ANSWER MORE QUESTIONS THAN ANYONE ELSE I’ve watched on lives! Thank you!
His pathetic ‘cubby house’ made of file boxes to hide behind ‘you can’t see me now’ It’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen someone do in a courtroom.
Right?! ... but if there's a prize for being pathetic and ridiculous I think Peter called it at 8:30. Holding a book (The Bible) up and sneaking peeks underneath it. So ludicrous.
I watch the trial uninterrupted, but love to watch the recaps in the evening. Good job!
Love your coverage on this. The whole headphones saga is him putting himself at the judges level, the way I see it is that the judge mutes him, so he tries to ‘mute’ her back. That’s what that is for me and it’s beyond pathetic. Glad the judge pushed back more today
With the way he acted all the injuries death of 6 people his list of violence, there was never any chance I would have saw any jury nullifying his charges
I have never seen anyone like Darell Brooks. Most mass murderers have a weird calm about them but he is the opposite and just a train wreck. It’s horribly fascinating.
Probably because most mass murders plan their stuff, whilst Darrell did this stunt like it was just another Tuesday because he was angry at Erika for not letting him control her anymore, and because he was scared of the cops.
He watched law ans order!
Who wants to bet he is going to lose his shit when the verdict is delivered.
He seems to feel that he has more power than he really does.
He will get put in his place in jail.
A live stream of the closing arguments would be awesome!
He never had any intention of testifying, when has he ever not tried to do exactly what he wants?? He knew that the prosecution would bring out info that he didn't want out. Same with his mother being a witness, I don't think he even asked her to come.
Replay! Hope we get enough likes to hear closing arguments live!!
YES, please stream live tomorrow. I appreciate you covering this case and all other cases. You do a great job. Thank you!
I am so glad I found your channel……very informative!
Yes please live stream the closing !! You give us such great insight into the legal system
Thx for bringing such professional coverage! 🙏🏻🥰
Live! Love your breakdowns!
Yes please stream live! I am just seeing your channel first time this morning. This is a great way to watch/rewatch the absurdity of this trial. Great job you are doing!!
Its a real pleasure and luxury to hear you explaining.!
You are the best at answering and responding to all the comments from your lives. Love watching with you as it feels both fair and just without being ugly. Good luck tomorrow 😬 hope you get to live it with us 🙌
Hello
Its difficult to make it to your live stream, but I'm part of the rewatch crew most definitely. Never miss anything you put up. I'm very grateful for your channel. You provide the information of the trials a d the break down of the law so that we can all understand it.
I also learn so much from all your subscribers who post really insightful questions, and I appreciate all the time you take to answer as many questions as you can. Im sure everyone appreciates that.
Thank you again, and keep up the great work.
God bless and take care.
Take care
Even though it's been nothing but frustration, I'm gonna be sad when this ends.
He exemplifies the old saying that "A defendant who represents himself has an idiot for a client"
Brilliant coverage Peter, well done 👏🏻
Love your recaps! I found you in the JD v AH trial and try listen to you every week depending on the interest I have in the chosen trial. DB is so frustrating and can not imagine what it would be like to have to deal with him face to face. 'I can't hear' and 'I don't understand' is just a new DB chaos tactic. I think the judge was far firmer today, as far as I am concerned she is a superhero!
Watching recap during todays court lunch break. This is on too late for me to stay up but I always catch recap. Thanks Peter and crew!
Would love to hear your breakdown of the closing! So insightful!
Thanks again for a great explanation of this case. I’m in the UK so never catch the lives but watch the following morning. If you stream the case today I will be able to watch though
Thank you so much for going over all the “lawyer” terms, often times lawtube doesn’t go over and explain, but you do such a great job! Thank you!!
LIVE, Peter.... for sure! I always watch next morning... gets me ready for the new day!
OMg can’t believe he did the eye thing under the book sneaking out
I never would have realized that
Right?! I'm not surprised, but I didn't catch it. 8:33 Actually, I expected him to be doing something similar in his opening statement, sneaking peeks to the jury to see if they were buying his performance.
I wish we could “ like “multiple times so you could know how many times what you say resonates with us and educates us. Thank you for taking the time to do this!
You are the best! Always answer so many questions. Appreciate it!
Hi Peter I am watching your recap from your Monday night show. Awesome. Thank you so very much your knowledge of the law. Your articulation of the law is remarkable! Sending you and your family my very best from Pennsylvania USA
Live, please! You are absolutely the lawyer I would most prefer to watch! Thanks for doing this, and thanks to your family for sharing you with us 😊
Peter love your recaps, so clear and on point. Thank you so much for putting the time in for all of us. As to DB he is going down and he is doing everything to get to the inevitable conclusion.
Great job! You are a joy to watch :)
Thank you so much for explaining the jury nullification. I was so confused. 😊
Replay crew! I would love to see you doing closing arguments live!
Brooks is a rotton to the core individual who made a decision to represent himself. It's seems abundantly clear that Brooks assumed that this would give him the opportunity he needs to perform and turn a courtroom into a theatre that suits his needs. Why wasn't Brooks treated exactly the same as an actual defence lawyer? Why was Brooks given so much leeway from day 1, as it was his responsibility to go into the court with the full understanding of both the case and his requirements as a defence lawyer, and he has clearly failed. The Judge had been extremely fair to Brooks although I think overly so, which in turn has unnecessarily created ongoing tensions and argumentative behaviour throughout the trial. The Judge controls the court not the make believe defence lawyer.
Peter, I've already commented but I forgot to add something important and that is - thank you so much for all you do, you always have an unbiased and thoughtful response to questions. I'm not an attorney, I happened across your channel on the 3rd day of the Depp trial I believe it was and I subscribed that day and became a member a bit later which I rarely do. It delights me that your channel has grown at such an awesome rate and it's well deserved as it is so apparent you really love what you do and are an honest guy who loves his family and life in general. I've learned so much about our legal system in general and also details I wouldn't have ever known ( I do wish you'd do a video more on our rights we should be aware of!) and I just want to thank you for being so genuine and such a hard worker who makes learning about the law a lot of fun. I always look forward to you smacking and rubbing your hands together followed by your cheery "What's up guys?!'.
Appreciate you being so thorough with these videos with your commentary and answering questions. I have learned so much about the law and have developed more respect for attorneys through your channel. The media needs more people like you who speak the truth with integrity while being fair and balanced!
Yes, I would love to have you livestream his closing argument tomorrow!! I found your channel during the Depp V Heard trial and I have learned so much about the law and how trials work. Congratulations on 150,000 😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉!!!!!!!!
You are pretty great, Peter Tragos! Thanks for your great content. I always enjoy it!
Peter your show is always so interesting to watch and listen to an actual lawyer explaining in Laymans terms about The language in the quart room from the judge, the prosecution and the defense and of course the legal jargon. Peter awesome show
Live thank you. Just found your commentary. Very interesting. Thx!
I have a feeling that the judge said to either herself or someone else, "I'm going to wrap this up on Monday."
And she knew that she could use his temper against himself.
This was expertly played and I was cheering for the judge as she was body-slamming him over and over and all he could do was flail wildly in despair.
He's going to deserve every single second that he gets from this jury and I'm hoping that it only takes them less than 90 seconds to bring a guilty verdict.
And the judge is, by provable lawful law, is suuuuuper hot!!
Peter, I would love it if you would live stream the closing arguments on Tuesday! Please 🙏🤗
I’m part of rewatch crew again. Thanks as always, Peter. I don’t even watch the trial anymore but come here for your recap and commentary. 😉
Yes please - live stream - even tho I’m in the uk & have no idea what time it’ll be I’ll be there for it! Thank you 🙏
Yes, please live stream is closing arguments, thank you for all the breakdowns
