I watched most of the trial today (watching replay here now). Brooks whining about his life being over and not being able to visit friends when HE KILLED PEOPLE is just too much. Whining about a made up shoulder injury when a witness today had TWO KNEE SURGERIES, flew 15-20 feet from the car, and had their son get run over ALL BY BROOKS is just… I don’t know. Words are not enough for the anger and frustration of watching that part of the interrogation, seeing that witness, and hearing the audio of the marching band part of his rampage all in one day. I assume the jury is just as filled with rage as we are and will act swiftly and accordingly.

This child & elderly murdering coward could not be more obnoxious! I do however think it’s disingenuous to claim that the Judge & prosecutor are bending over backwards to protect Mr. Sovereign Coward’s rights. They are both bending over backwards 4 one reason! They want to do avoid appellate issues! I understand & respect them 4 doing this but it also undermines the court in a very public manner when he behavior continues over & over again w/ nothing more then empty threats. She should not kick him out of the courtroom again. The next time he disrespects the court he should be bound, gagged & should remain that way unless he is cross examining or direct examining witnesses, or when he does his close! He knows he will be found guilty, there's too much evidence against him so his only way to get out of this at this point is to either get a mistrial or drag the process on for as long as possible.
I think he's already lost the case, he just needs to be in court long enough to get sentenced.

I used to have to deal with a person who thought they were a sovereign citizen and he would leave 12+ minute long diatribes on my voice mail going on and on about complete nonsense, including how the government does not have the right to assign a postal code (zip code in the US) to him and, therefore, all the mail we've sent him is being rejected, etc. He'd ramble on reading from books of complete nonsense. It was absolutely draining. He was a nutcase and I had to listen to the entire voice mail messages all the time to determine if he was uttering any threats. Don't miss that job at all. Also, why the heck did our voice mail allow messages longer than 60 seconds anyway??

Hey Peter! Catching the replay! I would like to add to your points on the interrogation videos of him feigning his ailments & credibility that during the pre-trial hearings when the judge agreed to allow the interrogation videos, one statement that was ruled inadmissible (rightfully so, due to it being off cam/recording) was Brooks telling Det. Carpenter that he “didn’t mean to kill anyone.” If it had been on cam still, it would have sunk his entire argument of “it wasn’t me” and “I don’t identify as that name.” This whole circus show is EXHAUSTING! Thank you for covering it! ❤

I have been following sovereign citizens for years now, his lack of understanding is so cringe, the court and the DA have been beyond helpful to him, alot of things they don't have to do, alot of his questions go nowhere, most have no direction, the part that pisses me off is he throws out there that he's been disrespected and the entire court is plotting against him when in reality they've done way more than they actually have to, I understand why the state and the judge are treating this the way they are, an appeal will go nowhere, he won't be able to say anything was one sided and anyone who watches this or reads the record will believe that, I see a lot of comments bashing the judge and DA but they don't understand their doing everything they can to make sure he has no ammo when he goes for an appeal. He has hurt himself at every turn with all the objections and clearly not understanding what he's objecting, I can't wait for the closing arguments, he is gonna be a riot with his closing argument

Seems like he's not trying to defend himself but put the judge, prosecution and police on trial. I feel so sorry for this jury. Can you imagine being called by the criminal who injured you and your son? Hes such a practiced gaslighter that he truly believes saying things like "Thats a lie!", "My behavior wasnt disruptive", and "You held me in contempt!" means that the truth and historical fact will simply be overriden by whatever he says. He did it throughout the trial. When Zack put his history as a sex offender with 15 year old Erika Patterson on the record (outside the presence of the jury) during his offer of proof, Darrell thought screaming "THAT'S A LIE!" would negate the fact that he had in fact been convicted of that very thing and the appellate court would just read his denials and constant rewriting of history, forget everything they'd already read in the record, and say "Well, Not Darrell Brooks said it didn't happen, so we must disregard the fact that it's true." I guess he's so used to lying and rewriting history that he believes his gaslighting will be as successful in the courtroom as it was in his personal life. I don't know how he managed to survive to age 40 with that attitude and those personality traits.

This is another cracking good review - I'm a bit annoyed you've sucked me into this case & I can't stop watching now, but it's fascinating. I've started using 1.5x speed to watch too! I'm surprised it's watchable & might progress to 2x speed soon. Today was very educational, the judge's explanations to Mr Brooks help with understanding what's going on (even if he doesn't bother to listen, I do) and it was stark today how much the judge and prosecution really care about ensuring he gets a fair trial, even when he's acting against his own best interest. I really feel that judge & prosecution truly believe in justice & everyone deserves a defense and a fair trial, not just that they don't want reasons for appeal. The evidence against Mr Brooks is overwhelming, people are dead because of his actions, and the jury will likely take 5 seconds per charge to deliberate and find him guilty whatever happens from now on. I thought the judge and the police officer did well to keep Mr Brooks calm later on today, being respectful and allowing him points despite his earlier belligerence.
