  • Pat's new Ford Ranger was fully kitted out with Outback Armour suspension before he filmed the last season of his TV show, and he's been loving the ride! He demonstrates how easy the Adjustable Shock Absorbers are to change based on the expected terrain.
To see this suspension in action, check out Season 13 of Pat Callinan's 4X4 Adventures.

OA adjustable on the LC200 and love em. As good or even better than the tough dogs!

I liked this susp over the EFS I’ve always ran. Decided to give it a try in the 2018 dmax I had and it was faultless everything worked very well, I found it a bit softer than the EFS. Canny confirm whether the front end sagged at all after 70thousand odd kms of 4x4 With bullbar and cable winch though I should have checked original measurements!

It’s really good suspension, but only when those dials work! In my personal experience, those dials are a pita at times because they do not always want to adjust when you need them to with a minimum of fuss.

Hi there! If your dials are seizing, they probably need a quick service. Find out how to do it yourself in this video: ruclips.net/video/2vhgESvPCSw/видео.html.

Think you’ve got it the wrong way around mate.
Dialing up, decreases the oil that can bypass the oil bypass system. And dialing down, increases the oil that can bypass.
    Increase bypass (-) for comfort
    Decrease bypass (+) for control

You're correct, Scotty. Adjusting clockwise restricts the oil flow that will increase the firmness. Adjust anti-clockwise for softer adjustment, clockwise for firmer adjustment.

I've had OA on a Prado since it first came out and been very happy with it. The past few months I have been working out of an office in Cessnock and let me tell you, the ride has been shit on the roads out there, to the point where today my stomach and sides are aching from the 20 km of really rough dirt road. So I got to thinking, last time it was serviced was a few months ago so went out and checked and yep, all 4 dials on fucking 20! I usually run them on 10 so obviously the snotty little 1st year apprentice I pay full mechanics hourly rate to has been fucking with something he should not be touching. Maitland Toyota Service, useless.

I would not recommend outback armour constant 200kg rear springs .
I have had mine on my duel cab for 19 months and they have sagged and the bump stop that was fitted bashes the chassis and gives a terrible ride
The 2 k it cost me was a waste and now I will have to spend more money replacing them.

Outback Armour, i just ripped it out of a used car i just bought (2 years old NP300 with 70k on the odo). WAY WAY too hard and not compliant just bounces, FFS it rattles and shakes on paved roads??? feels like its designed for tractors.

Really, because I’ve just driven two VX LC200’s back to back, one with standard suspension and one with OA suspension and the OA equipped vehicle was just so much better.

Thats what happens when you buy 2nds, do you know what rated springs they were as they need to be matches to the load of ur vehicle.
