Robbie, you can bend the pins and get them aligned. Hit them with a hammer to get them shaped. It's done very often on rally cars ect.
I know it don’t affect us but small updates like a sentence or two on getting it inspected when new news comes up would be appreciated from all who watch every episode! 👌🏻👍🏻

To save all the cutting you could buy some angled washers that’ll allow you to tilt the bolts but still have a strong connection to the slam panel.

Mistakes are what make us human, absolutely loving the genesis build. And if you haven't already picked a colour then it should be the iconic skyline R32 blue with the inserts matte black ;)
Yo! It sucks but at least you left learning something, and honestly this is exactly whyI only use Quik- Latches (or they're knock offs) they're way faster to install and so very forgiving of contoured hoods
Something you could do is just drill slightly larger holes in the rad support, and create basically a triangular prism to run the hood pin into larger holethat would allow you to create whatever angle you want. Could be a 3D printed piece or really even just angled aluminum.
Thanks for the tip about aligning the hood pins. I bought the same ones and was going to install them until I saw your post today. Good point on aligning them on the angle of the hood itself. I saw that same Mighty Car Mod video when they installed them on their S2000 so I'll shout you out when I install them on my video ✊
