- There are lots of little differences, but here are the biggest differences I found and that you need to know when shopping.

1. COLOR CHANGES: Havana Brown Metallic & Cajun Red Tincoat have gone away. They are replaced on the 2021's with Mosaic Black Metallic, Oxford Brown Metallic, & Cherry Red Tincoat.
2. WHEEL CHANGES: One optional wheel (NZT) has been removed, the RD5 20" black wheels are now a free flow on TB models, and the RD2 20" polished finish wheels are now standard on the LTZ.
3. PACKAGE CHANGES: Convenience package w/ bucket seats & center console is now standard on LT TB, all 3 value packages have been removed, and what was in the custom value package is now standard on the Custom and Custom TB. All Star Edition, Convenience Package, Trailering Package, and G80 are all standard on the LT & RST trims (new All Star Edition Plus package). LTZ Plus package is now standard on the LTZ. Texas Edition is now called Texas Edition Plus and the LTZ Texas Edition is now called the LTZ Premium Texas Edition. New Safety Confidence Package available on WT, Custom, and Custom TB.
4. FEATURE CHANGES: Arm rest with storage is now standard on WT/Custom/Custom TB, Sirius XM now available on WT and standard on Custom/Custom TB/ LT/RST/LT TB. Onstar now standard on Custom & Custom TB. EZ life/lower tailgate now standard on Custom/CustomTB/LT. Power up/down tailgate now standard on LTZ and optional on LT/RST/LT TB. New Trailer Link Indicator. Sunroof no longer available on LT. Max Trailering Package with 5.3L only on sold orders. Rubberized-vinyl floor on LT only with sold orders. Limited 2WD availability with Double and Crew cabs. 4WD Double cab no longer available on LTZ.
5. NEW STUFF: Multi-Flex Tailgate. Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto (available on LT/RST/LT TB and standard on LTZ/HC).

The custom trail boss with the convenience and safety packages, and 6.2 is a very intriguing option. Just add driver manual height adjustable seat....
I love this set up!
I'm still surprised they haven't added that, even as an option. SO many people that are disappointed by it. My wife is very short and would never be able to drive the Custom. Hopefully they'll add it at the refresh :)

I’ve got a 2015 Silverado Ltz midnight and I cannot wait for when chevy gets that ram sized screen and the multi tail gate...I fully intend To upgrade once those happen!
That's coming 2022. When the mid model refresh will come.

I just bought a 21 Silverado LT. Crew 4WD with 5.3 liter Ecotec3 V8 and I love it.
I didn’t like the look of the 2020 front end. The 2021 looks much better. I like the bow tie rather than the “Chevrolet” cut out on the grill.
I have the controllable down release of the tailgate but it doesn’t have the motorized up function but that’s ok cuz it’s so easy to lift. At first I thought “Damn, is the tailgate made of thin, cheap, metal?” But your video highlighted why the tailgate is so easy to lift.

Why is the Silverado backwards?
The 2019 work trucks in the old body style came standard with a console that opens my 2020 trail boss custom does not I was pissed it didn't have it. Wish it had an option for fog lights on trail boss custom.
I think enough people complained on the 2020's that they brought it back for the 2021's. Talk to your local parts department, they may be able to get the fog lights for you :)
@@KBCarsChevyChannel the parts department said it couldn't be done cause it doesn't have the wiring harness like the lt's do but on chevrolets website it said u could add them and even showed a stock photo of a trail boss custom with fog lights.
I spent 3 weeks trying to find a High Country WITHOUT a sunroof. I wanted the Cherry Red Tintcoat but because of the rarity (without sunroof) I got a Satin Silver Metallic. I just don't understand the sunroof option - everyone I know who keeps their vehicle for more than 5 years has problems with their sunroof. Most people don't use them after the novelty wears off.
I got the red High Country myself here in South Florida. Yeah have no idea who wants a sunroof. Was looking for the silver but they were sold out. Blue or Red and I must say the red is very nice. Enjoy
So there will be no sunroof on the Trail Boss anymore? Glad I got a 2020.
It's still available on the RST and above (LT Trail Boss, LTZ, and High Country) just on the the regular LT

Can you make this video for the Silverado HD 2021 differences? I’m looking at the custom and wonder if they fixed the cruddy faux console seat as well. And also curious of any other updates/ changes. Thanks!
I order a 2500 3 weeks ago and yes The center consul does open up on the work truck and the custom now it's standard equipment They did add the safety package for the 2021 2500 which I ordered on mine

I hate the Cherry Red Color for the 2021 Trail Bosses the Cajun Red Color was better but go figure leave it up to vehicle manufacturers to decide for us the consumers what we want.
Cajun red wasn't bad, but I like how the Cherry red pops, good to have something different for GM
Why can't you get bucket seats on the LT Model?
You can, just gotta find one with the Convenience Package

The antenna is on the wrong side as well - so someone reversed the video
the only thing obvious that changed between 2020 vs 2021 Silverado is the high price. Ha-ha.

Isn't that the truth I bought a brand new fucking truck and the God damn thing chips it's so brittle. A month old I got three chips in it and I'm so weird about this truck cuz I'm never had a brand new truck I don't drive behind people.

I plan on taking it to a body shop to see what they can do. If they can do anything. Just makes my new investment look like shit.

@ Mark Keegan You will be sorry if you opt for a sunroof ! You will have wind noise from it and worse yet water leaks in that sunroof ! which will create Mold !
They should re design the whole truck it’s absolutely ugly... and I’m a life long Chevy guy.
I liked the previous design better (2014-2019), but the 2021 looks much better than the 2020. It’s grown on me.

Do you need to see the body shop for describe colors that's not flat black it is a non metallic black. Huge difference so why don't you do your research before you make your videos
