I love how the kids asked for your RUclips channel. Made me smile. Also that thumbnail, like others have been saying, is glorious. Thanks for another great video!
That idea of finding and riding all the antique carousels you can sounds like a noble quest to me. Also I agree with you about the older, scuffed up horses. To me, that just makes them a veteran, a survivor of decades of a great summer day, and I'm of the age where, if you don't shout "Hi-Yo, Silver! Away!" You're missing out.
I live in Chattanooga, but haven't been to Lake Winnie in years. It hurts my heart to see The Castle turned into the Wacky Factory. The Castle was my favorite and two stories. Glad to see the scary elements. Love your videos. Also, the water that the carousel and Wacky Factory is in was the old swimming pool that was used for years.
It used to be my favorite ride there. When it went onto the second floor at one point you came outside and there was a little dip before it turned and went back inside. They've destroyed it. I always loved the horror artwork on the front of the building. At least it still has the original ride carts. The really should try and restore it.
What a great classic little amusement park. I love Disney Universal and Cedar Point, but these small amusement parks have this charm, that the big parks cant match. Great video Jacob.
I loved this amusement park it was so cute!!! There was a really sm amusement park in my home town called clown town, it had a merry go round, airplane ride, train, pony rides, push cars, a sm coaster, sm ferris wheel, moon walk, and 8 trampoline that were in the ground. Oh I loved it many people who grew up in Hutchinson loved clown town, sadly it is long gone, but those trash cans you showed they had at clown town. But what is funny if you go to Google earth you can still see were the trampolines were. Then Wichita had Joyland and it is sadly gone, that was a terrific park I think the owners Had troubles with insurance or something. But it was a classic park with a great wooden roller coaster. Love your videos
Thank you for visiting a childhood memory of mine. Lots of fun times feeding popcorn to the carp. The boat chute is definitely unique. My family is from TN, but Lake Winnie was super cheap in the 1980s. They used to have a very cheap gate fee so the parents did not pay much & let their kids buy tickets for the rides. And they let you bring in coolers to eat at the picnic areas. As an adult my husband and kiddos enjoyed living in Rossville for ten years we were close enough to hear the screams from our yard, and also watch the fireworks. Thanks for letting us visit through the video! Your patreon fans, The Smiths!
Jacob, because the name of this lake reminds me so much of Lake Winnipesaukee here in New Hampshire, I thought that next time you're in New Hampshire you could visit the world's largest arcade "Fun Spot" in Laconia NH, which is where Lake Winnipesaukee is. It's a beautiful area you'd love it. Very close to the White Mountains where you traveled to before!
The background noise of the kids having fun is so awesome. CB is the best in the biz. The train ride reminded me of the movie "The Jerk" for some reason.
I love these smaller non corporate conglomerate owned amusement parks they are unique and beautiful and the way they built this park around the lake and incorporated it as much as they could was genius just gorgeous
Interesting fact for you about the water around the haunted wacky house. That use to be a swimming pool. Many years ago (early 60’s) my Mother was on a school field trip when one of the kids on the trip with her failed to get back on the bus to leave. They went back to look for him and found he had drown in the pool. The pool eventually closed after that incident and ironically, the haunted house was built over it.
I never knew that. I was there in the 1960's and later. I grew up in Chattanooga and moved to Florida at 16. That is so sad. I wonder if he still visits there. I hope that he went into the light of God, whether he comes back to visit there or not. This is Mrs. Ace X, in Florida.
I remember that boat chute. My dad used to earn extra money running it off and on for many years, He ran it before I was born, I am 58 now. He was running it even in his 70s. He is 92 now. There was also a stage behind the haunted house, and My dad would take us to watch some of the country singers that would come to perform, I remember Loretta Lynn was singing one evening, and she swallowed a moth, that choked her up a bit. Yep good times
Canobie lake park has everything you’re looking for jacob. Old timesy wooden roller coaster, antique carousel, a gondola that goes over the park , a little tour train one dark ride a water park and a whole lot more. Free parking also near the NH Stonehenge 😊 sone awesome places to film In my state of New Hampshire
So much fun, I'm living vicariously through you while I sit in my office during my daily 9-5. Wishing you safe travels and congratulations on your house!
Damn, wish I could have met you man! Your videos are awesome and I thank you for coming to town trying out our amusement park that’s well known around here👍

Up here in New Hampshire, we have a Lake Winnipesaukee, pronounced differently. It's a very popular area in the summer here. No amusement parks though. I'm loving watching your adventures!
I live in New Hampshire too! I thought the name of that amusement park was quite interesting! Haha. For a split second I thought Jacob came back to NH but realized he was still in the south. 😅
10:00. Just take it off 😅 wow this looked fun and retro! I love that coaster and the dark ride was neat. The log ride was scary. I'm waiting for something to pop out
One day I'd love to see ya out in the wild like at a theme park. It would be so awesome to see one of my favorite RUclipsrs. Safe travels to you Jacob and love and light to ya as well.
🎠🎡Hi Jacob! Since you asked, I have a suggestion for you. Next time your in So. Cal. Go to Castle Park in Riverside off the 91frwy Me n my husband watch you every day! Thank you from Las Vegas oh! And if you come here, go to Adventure Dome at Circus Circus it great. ❤save travels
Knoebles seems to be a kick on acquiring some of the last of their kind of some retro rides as of late. Bayern Curve should open up soon and they have another one or two flats in storage for the next year or two
What an interesting little park. That was some roller Coaster ride . Finding all the carousels would be awesome . I bet there are so many different formats. Classic Park. Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
It made me so happy to see this! I grew up near Chattanooga and this place was where I spent many a happy day in my childhood and teen years. It's sad to see how the dark ride has changed. The graphics on the castle used to be amazing. Thank you for bringing up some wonderful memories for me.

I hear the food is excellent there. I hear many good things about the park and intend to visit Quassy next year (2025).
Great video as always Jacob! I live in New Hampshire, not far from Lake Winnipesaukee haha. You may have driven close to it while you were here in NH visiting Santa's Village and the White Mountains. Hope you come visit NH again soon!
Thanks for this video! I live here but haven’t been to Lake Winnie in years. I was super bummed out when they closed down the haunted house and changed all the incredible horror art. I used to love it so much as a kid. And even though the boat chute wasn’t a scary ride I always felt like that the long ride through the dark was a little spooky. I should visit someday soon.
Rode the dark ride so many times as a kid when it was a haunted themed ride. Haven’t rode it since the change but near the nosferatu guy there used to be a mummy that would lean down and fall when you went around. Also the truck horn was always there and the laser illusion at the end is the same just different colors. Love lake Winnie
Man I wish i knew that you were near Chattanooga! I'm not too far from there! I own an escape room in Chattanooga. It would have been awesome to see you! Love your content
Not sure if you have ever been but go to Beechbend in Kentucky! It's a small amusement park and it's home to a really interesting old-fashioned dark ride and home to the Kentucky Rumbler wooden rollercoaster.
Jacobe, love the blogs, If you are back Cleveland way, there is a small Kiddie park, it is called Memphis Kiddie Park, It has not changed in 50 years, I use to play put put gulf there as a child there. There is a small roller coaster called the Little dipper you can ride if you can fit in the car, hand crank rides for the small kids, a Train ride around the park you can go on, It is a small interesting park for the kiddies. Hi bagger 👋 your adventure for us to enjoy is funny, your rollercoaster 🎢 rides with a screaming 😱 lol thanks for sharing anyway. Take care.😊 Those older or retro amusement park are great to show. They are neat one of a kind.👍
16:30 Love the 1916 antique 🎠 carousel segment. Enjoyed your commentary of liking the more vintage, aged look horses over the more polished animals. GREAT 👍 JOB, Jacob.
Nightmare Chambers Mahem is going on at the OWA Parks and Resort Amusement park in Foley, Alabama this weekend. I've heard that OWA ("big water") is a cool park -located on the Gulf Coast and owned and operated by the Creek Indians.
I love Lake Winnie. The boat chute was created and built by the owner. It was one of,if not the first ride there. I used to live near there. Haven’t been in years, though, so thanks for the revisit!
We are going tomorrow. I almost felt that Canonball roller coaster without going. Thanks for that. 😂 We used to go as children. This is the first time I have taken my children in about 7 or 8 years.
This park reminds me of a few parks in Ohio...long gone. Idora park in youngstown ohio had a boat ride, the lost river had drums playing. It was a long dark ride/boat ride. Had animatronics that would scare you. But in its decline in the 80s, it was just dark and smelly water. Had a hill climb that dropped into water. Was cool in its day. A fire , for the most part was the cause of its closure. If you're ever in NYC, Jane's carousel is the merry go round from Idora park. They bought it and restored it. The park had 2 amazing wooden roller coasters. The Wildcat and the Jack Rabbit. After the steel mills closed, economy, the park went into disrepair. It started as a street car park.
Hey there. I grew up here. The Boat chute is the oldest ride in the park. I hope you visited the carousel at Coolidge Park in dowtown Chattanooga or the incline railway while you were close by.
I live less than a mile down the road. Lol cool to see it get represented. You need to go when the water park is open the lazy river is nice. They changed it a few years back to the wacky factory I miss the old version. Plus it has an up upstairs that's rotting away it caved in and they had to change the ride to accommodate. If you take off the layers of signs you used to be able to see where cars moved up top. I always wonder who made it if it was a pretzel dark ride thanks for the info. And the scrambler behind it used to be way faster but not being taken care of well doesn't go like it used too. Love the cannon ball the cannon ball used to have 2 train cars one themed to the north and one to the south. It was the first rollercoaster I ever rode scared the hell out of me. I've grown to love it. Lol they have a few house on property some of the owners live there. But don't ride the boat shoot if you are afraid of snakes. Has a lot of snakes living in there and if you ever hear an employee say they have sandwiches over a radio that's what they're talking about. That's the employee code. Still what fuy in highschool from Chattanooga area didn't take thier girlfriend on it if you get me. Lol From friends that have worked there. The cat fish are huge the tradition is to feed them pop corn and boy do they swarm for it. Another neat thing is they drain the lake in the winter and i tell you it looks so weird in there without the lake. Those moats used to be swimming pools also. Still so cool to see you local. I really enjoyed the video.
This isn't a classic amusement park but it's really close to the world famous Knoebles Amusement Resort, it's called the pioneer tunnel and stream train plus anthracite museum. It's a nice mine tour and ols fashion steam train ride on the original tacks from the early 1900s through the heart of the anthracite coal region in Pennsylvania. Really great road side attraction in Pennsylvania
Wow, almost a 100 year old park! Very cool. Don't think I've herd of it before, of course I'm on the opposite side of the country. Hope it was a fun time.
Hey, I'm one of the middle schoolers you met after you got off the Wacky Factory. It was really cool to meet you, I hope you also had fun.
I love how the kids asked for your RUclips channel. Made me smile. Also that thumbnail, like others have been saying, is glorious. Thanks for another great video!
I’m one of the kids
Classic example of an old American amusement park. Thank you for sharing it with us!
I love the kids asking you what your channel is. Even more followers Jake! Such nice kids.
That’s cute how the kids would ask you for your RUclips 😂 also that not a log log ride reminds me of the sleepy hollow log ride at holiday world.
I noticed that too. They were so nice and respectful.
The oldest water chute ride in the USA. Thanks for letting us ride alongside you, Jacob!
Invented and constructed by the original owner.
8:42 That mullet is next level mixed with the shades. Love it. Thanks for the unique theme park video, CB!
Thank you for this comment! That mullet was glorious
It reminds me of when I had one in high school.
He looks all set for Summer Slam ‘88
Hey I’m the kid with the mullet
The hair is way longer know

Did you know that there’s a national carousel association? they have a map of all the antique carousels in United States.
Born a little over 71 yrs ago in Chattanooga and raised 2 hours south and never knew about LAKE WINNEPESAUKAH thanks for showing me something new

Wow, almost a 100 year old park! Very cool. Don't think I've herd of it before, of course I'm on the opposite side of the country. Hope it was a fun time.
