Just passed the test! This was my third test and it was SO easy. There was still lots of construction going on so I mainly drove through neighborhoods. My instructor was Jodi, and if you get her just know you are in good hands. I knew immediately when she introduced herself that I would pass. The reason I had failed my last two tests was because my instructors basically had no personality and when they failed me, they didn't really explain what I did wrong. Jodi looked at my failed sheets from the last two tests and clearly explained what I did wrong. She immediately put me at ease and was talking about her grandchildren the entire time so we were literally talking the whole test haha. I'm not sure if other instructors at Chaska are like this, but she didn't really care about parking so if you do bad on it I don't think it would matter. I didn't do any lane changes because I was only on one-ways. All the roads you go on will be 20-25 mph. I drove around the testing place the day before the test just to see what it was like, so I would recommend doing that.
I'm pretty sure they update every weekday, and on the weekends only if someone cancels. I noticed that around 8 AM is when a bunch of exam stations would have a lot of openings, but they go quick. So try to check around that time every day.
Thank you for the video. It helped me pass the exam. If you’re taking the exam at chaska I’d advise you to familiarize yourself with the surroundings via google map. Goodluck
I PASSED YESTERDAY. it was so easy we didn’t even leave for the open streets. we stayed in the neighborhood streets and i didn’t even have to do any stop lights or anything except for stopping a butch for stop signs and turning when my instructor told me to. no lane changes at all either.
Just passed! Had an early morning appt at 8:50 am, and my instructor was a Santa Clause-looking man. He was great; gave clear instructions with plenty of notice and was kind and helpful too esp as I was so nervous. He would affirm when my parking was good, seeing that I was anxious and wondering if I should keep adjusting even tho I was within the lines and fine. I did make a few blunders, but the biggie was that I actually grazed the pole for my 90 degree backing. I was scared he was going to automatically fail me, but he didn’t and assured me I was ok and we could continue. After that, test was really easy-there’s a lot of construction going on, so we just drove round and round the few blocks from the DMV. That’s it! My advice: - SCHEDULE EARLY. Earlier seems better as instructors may be nicer/you may be more likely to get my same instructor. - The test is easier and shorter than you think, 15-20 min max. Due to construction at this time, you will likely just drive around the neighborhood and round the same blocks. - Relax/calm your nerves. Try to drive comfortably as you will perform better.
Just passed! Notes for those taking the test at Chaska: - 41 is closed due to construction - no lane changing (prob bc 41 is closed?) - I would recommend coming early to practice the parking (they leave the sticks out on the streets - easy to find) - Since you are turning a lot, stay b/w 20-25 mph - you are allowed to use the backup camera (only to glance at tho) Good luck everyone! :)

I have a test today and after watching this video hopefully I'll pass 😅. I'm most concerned with parking especially the 90 back in but I'm confidant with parallel parking. Will update.
I had the worst instructor ever. She failed me because of one little mistake. At the 4-way stop, she told me to take a left. But there was a van in front of me so I had to wait for him. He apparently went on the wrong side and took a left. I didn’t know it was a two way street bc there were no marks. And there were cars ONLY parked on the RIGHT side so I didn’t think much of it. Once I took the left apparently I was going on the wrong side and I caught my mistake and instantly corrected myself. I told her I got confused bc of the white van driving on the wrong side until he made his turn. After we were done with the test and we came back to the dmv. She told me I failed bc I drove on the wrong side. And then proceeded to tell me I would have passed it that incident didn’t happen. I was very disappointed bc all the vids I watched of ppl taking road test. There are ppl who didn’t correctly park close to the curb and went to the wrong lane when they took a left or right yet they still passed. It was very unfair. I have my next appointment for this upcoming week so hopefully I pass this time. If she fails me for some dumb reason, I’m going to go full Karen on her😭😭

@@Sam-yh6heEverything unfortunately depends on your examiner. One of them takes people to intersections and others just make you drive around the neighborhood with lots of stops. Just make sure you come to a complete stop and make it super obvious that you look both ways before moving forward. (Like literally lean all the way and turn your head to see oncoming cars. If you can’t clearly see the cars, slowly move forward and proceed with caution). If you get the examiner that takes you out to intersections make sure you don’t turn your wheel until the traffic clears and you’re ready to move forward. (If you’re waiting at the intersection that’s a lot of points. So make sure you wait behind the stoplight until it’s clear for you to make the left turn.) The other tip for the two way road is to always take the right side. (My mom told me if you don’t see a one way sign then it’s a two way. So when making a turn, always stay in the correct lane) and practice your parking, especially the 90° back in. That one was kind of hard. @TheRandomzGuy passed first try, its actually one of the easiest tests ive taken in my life. The dont even make you go through lights or anything. Its really just parallel park, 90 degree backing, and driving through a the backroads of a really simple residential. Like i said before, no lights at least for me. We just went through hella stop signs. I wholeheartedly believe you should be fine 100% you'll pass dont even stress. If you somehow fail at this place just take public transit negl. Thats how easy it was.
@PTJStudios18 so for me taking the test, I had a really, REALLY nice person to observe me who gave tips and heads up of what not to do later on. The tips she gave that people have failed on is that they stopped on the crosswalk on the road multiple times. And also not to stop completely but to slow down and look at your windows at the crosswalk unless a person is walking on it. I only drove in the neighborhood, so not in the traffic or multiple cars. My observer checked the blickers (left and right lights) and since itt was my 3rd test I didn't need to do the whole seat adjustment, AC, defroster, etc. I drove around the neighborhood until I was told to do a downhill park, after that I went to do a parallel park and the lastly the 90° park. I only had 8 points off but it was alright as those mistakes weren't as major.

Thanks! I take my test in a few weeks and i have a question about that first stop sign, Do you have to pull all the way up to the stopsign if there is no pedestrians or stop before the crosswalk?
I'd stop before the crosswalk. Then inch up to the stop sign if no pedestrians and look to see if any traffic is coming.
Thanks so much for the video tips!
I’m taking my second test tomorrow and I’m wondering what is the speed limit on the road test and is there anything that I need to know or worry about?
4:28 he said wait for green. but in minnesota you can turn right on red, just yield on traffic and pedestrians. correct me if im wrong?
Do you have a video for the Austin driving test also dear ?
Do they have poles for the 90 degree back in and parrallel Parking?
do you know if they did?
@@awesomefilms8836 they did ! They had like one designated spot I think
taking mine tmr, wish me luck!
Took mine today, how'd yours go? I swear it took 10 minutes that was scarily easy
Yo I have my test tomorrow morning early on, are there any one way roads? I failed at Arden hills for turning left off of a one way onto a 2 lane the wrong way. They never explained to me what I did wrong, so I’m now sure. Plus are there cones for the parallel and 90 degree back in turn?
How did it go? Could you explain how they structure there one ways?
@@avagimmens383 no there isn’t, it’s literally driving through a neighborhood , and then they take you to an intersection to make a single left turn.
So nervous right now I have my test on Friday
Im taking mine on thursday so I wanna make sure i study this vid and practice my parking 😭
Edit: I failed my first time but I'm retaking it after 2 weeks so hopefully I pass this time
did you pass?
I failed my first time too
Does anybody know where is the spot in Chaska for the motorcycle driving skill test?
Im driving to do my test right now
Edit: i passed!
Will there be cones for parallel parking or 90 degree parking? I have my test next week
@@rekharamkumar29for me, they weren’t cones, they were poles. Also, you shouldn’t fail if you do bad at the parking, as long as you don’t hit the poles you should be fine
@@rekharamkumar29 also, the route was completely different from the video for me. It might be different for you too.
Thank you
@@cheesewonton7263 thank you

@@Kenny-od2tghow’d it go?
how did you do? I have mine on the 17th
@@kamalmohamed2392 passed first try its actually so easy
@TheRandomzGuy passed first try, its actually one of the easiest tests ive taken in my life. The dont even make you go through lights or anything. Its really just parallel park, 90 degree backing, and driving through a the backroads of a really simple residential. Like i said before, no lights at least for me. We just went through hella stop signs. I wholeheartedly believe you should be fine 100% you'll pass dont even stress. If you somehow fail at this place just take public transit negl. Thats how easy it was.
Gonna do my test, pray for me
Update: i passed
What was the test like I’m taking it tommorow
@ thank you so much!
@--kena--3459 I just passed like 20 minutes ago! Thank you so much!!!
