Final notes are awesome! Great video. Thank you. I have a 2016 Z1000 and was wondering how to bleed the ABS pump and couldn't find anything on it. So much appreciated from So Cali!

Well it's been 2 years so time to bleed the brakes and replace fluid for the first time. Did my youtube search and sure enough, Blue Eyed Rider made a video! Thanks!

Thanks for the sub! Hopefully my videos keep continuing to be helpful. Have several more in the works for general maintenance that I am trying to get out before the riding season really gets under way.

The speed bleeder part # for the 24 n1k is = sb8125L or size m8x1.25 on all 4 bleeders. This is the "Speed Bleeder" brand.

How much brake fluid is required for this process?

There is no consistent number. I used probably 16oz. I got a 32oz container and about half was used. You never want to have too little so definitely get more than you anticipate using. I like to thoroughly flush and used 16, so I'd always get the 32oz or at least two 12s. You also don't want to use stuff that sits for a while that has been opened - so if you don't have applications to use up the rest of a 32oz two 12s may be better as there is less waste, but price is negligible. I think it was $7 for the 32oz DOT 4 of Prestone.

DOT 3, 4, and 5.1 can be mixed. DOT 5 can NOT. If you want to use DOT 5, completely drain and flush the system and then replace with DOT 5

Correct - DOT 5 is silicone based and cannot be mixed.
