Hey guys I am looking at buying a Barefoot Spa they look like they have a good manufacturing plant in W Virginia and they only sell direct How are their units Any input would be very helpful Thanks Doug E.
is the twilight 7.2 still a good hot tub to buy?. Is Master Spa cutting corners now or are they still ok to deal with. Walked in wanted to buy the hot tub but feel like they are trying to gouge me on the price they want 18495 dollars canadian before taxes. This does not include installation. Wish I knew what a good deal really was on this tub so I get a good deal.
Thanks for the update! Been eyeballing since I missed the window of opportunity pre-Covid. Looks like it’ll be another year of waiting for full-ish stabilization of the market.
Phone consult how does that work. I live in Eastern CT. Currently in the market for hot tube, hard to decipher which brand is quality for the $$$, thanks!
What do you think of Catalina Armstrong spa by Aqua Living. They have full open cell insulation, balboa parts and Geico (?) . Pressure treated lumber frame and ABS pan. But there reviews are horrible for customer service and wait time on spas. I live in a rural coastal town in the northwest and want something without propritary parts and something that can be fixed by a local hot tub guy. My price range is$10,000. Also thinking of Bullfrog x series but the Catalina has more jets and bling for the money. Strong jets are the most important thing for me. Please help me!!
they are ok, if it's just for general fitness and fun they don't do any real high-end flow rates for athletes' training and they don't clamp the plumbing lines anymore, they just got acquired by an equity investment firm so I imagine that will adversely affect their general build quality.
I bought the top of the line Jacuzzi back in 2003. Has been a GREAT tub with few problems. Equivalent price for inflation would be around $11K but the best price I can get a J-485 for is $15K so... over priced. Thinking about other brands but have also found them to be over priced as well
Over here in the U.K the biggest problem the hot tub industry is facing is the energy crisis, electricity is so ludicrously expensive now that the vast majority of people can no longer afford to run a hot tub, only the very well off can justify buying one. We own a Master spa Michael Phelps lsx 700 and it's a great tub but our electricity bills have more than quadrupled in the past 6 months, it's almost 50 pence per kwh now and literally 100s of pounds a month to run the tub.
I purchased a Beachcomber at Costco during a "roadshow." The relationship dies at the cash register but a decent discount. Beachcomber has been decent to deal with.
The beachcombers not a bad product but the Costco pricing is way too high for that kind of jet package. You also better pray you don't have a leak as the they cut around $500 out of the price of the build by not making a removable skirt!!! Yer screwed if they leak, they have to go to a facility to be fixed and you pay removal and reinstall charges which often run to thousands of dollars! add to that the fact that they use the old 2 part jet housing with silicone and that means it's a low plumbing reliability score...
Can we get a 2023 video? Pretty sure it has been selling now “as it was.” Please advise, thank you!

Hot tub salesmen are giving used car salesmen a good name these days.
Always enjoy your content and videos.
So true!
Hows the quality of the Bullfrog brand?
Abs Plastic shell means a lower cost to produce, less pipe means less cost to produce, neither are the best but overall they build a pretty solid tub.
You will be cleaning BEHIND the jet packs once a month.

The Catalina used to be pretty good, but they were bought out by LPI its low end mass merchant quality now. Bullfrog is a better option for sure.
What are your opinions on the TidalFit line of swim spas?
