Bought one in 2017... had it replaced this week, whole thing rusted out. Doesn’t like Canadian winters. Replacement just got back from being coated in LineX. Hope that helps.
@@resuko77 For the most part it was perfect. There were a few spots where the linex didn't get to and it rusted out from the inside. If I were to do it again I'd probably hit the inside of it with a clear coat or some black tremclad. Powerder Coated Metal SHOULD be completely protected but it's not... no idea why. You could see a rainbow halo effect where the rust was behind the linex. Such a pain in the butt for what it is. They can send rockets to other planets, can't stop rust on a tube of metal.
Hey guys great video... But was wondering if you guys out anything on the holes you made on the truck bed for the roll bar to prevent rust in the future
I had one put on my 2017 Dodge ram. Looked amazing for about a year. After that nothing but problems with rust, and discoloring of finish. My lights on the light bar kept falling down because of the thin metal breaking. I would not have purchased this having known issues I would have.
Hello, I have a 2010 F150 and I pretty much know it will fit but my concern is that I have a BAK RollX bed cover and was wondering of this will allow the cover to roll up. My particular cover is a rigid cover, not a soft cover that can be bent. Any experience with these Sport bars with the rigid type roll up bed covers?
I was putting mine together the other night and the damn side plates didn't want to align all the way, I've tried different ways with same result. What tips do you have for as I've had bolts just barely on and fall out when trying to get last one in.
I had to loosen mine totally to get it to aligned and it also is a pain. Also the damn rivet nut messed up do i was down one of those and i cant find them anywhere. The bumper i got was also a pain but damn i love the look.
I wanna see this thing on a 2018 Tacoma I haven't seen one yet in hawaii Pretty sure if they see this thing in hawaii all their tacos will have one Tacos are the trucks in hawaii
Probably the worst purchase I have made this year. Absolute headache to assemble. Thought I finally finished it and the left side side screen won’t align correctly. And then the nut insert “tool” that is provided is a joke. People don’t waste your time with this product.
Any issue with this fitting on 2017 raptor with bak flip cover? Seeing in the instructions that the tubing bolted pieces together instead on 1 solid bar. Wondering how well this holds up to hard off road driving.
Hello David, thank you for your interest in our Sport Bar 2.0. It works on the regular 2017 F-150 so there shouldn't be any problems installing it on the Raptor. We have had several customers send us pictures of it on their Raptors. And yes, it does not come assembled in one piece to save on shipping, so you will have to put it together
couldnt find a 17/32 drill bit at hardware or home depot or lowes? rivets poped back out of hole when i did finally get them drilled, need a ratchet with a really small bit to fit in to tighten to truck. Been cool if they had a plate you mount to truck first then attach the bar with screws. who ever designed this must like hand tools cuz you cant reach any bolts with a screw gun
@Go Rhino I've just purchased the 2.0 for my 2017 Raptor. I'm so worried about that rivet nut insert. Can you PLEASE make a video on how to get that thing into the bed rails MORE CLEAR then what you showed on this video and STOP telling people to call the helpline ( I did call. But that dude on the other side was more confusing then me )??? THANKS IN ADVANCE!!
Hey dude! I don't think you'll have much of an issue since the Raptor bed and F-150 beds are identical. Other than the wheel flares on the raptor you're still looking at the same bed width. 👍👍
@@jordanozman8360 Hey #JordanOz, not sure if you are with Go Rhino team. But if you've read my comments correctly, my concern is the rivet nuts install. Got my 2.0 sports bar in today and the back logo is messed up the river the use to install it to is cracked not happy with my product I took photos and I’m trying to see what they can do for me
2017 f150 installed the 3.0 sport bar today....very disappointed ...the "rivet" nuts are garbage 2 of them pulled Back out of the holes during tightening...not quite sure how I'm going to fix this...but there has to be a better way than this..if I had it to do over I'd pass on this.
We are sorry that you aren't completely satisfied with the installation of your product, but we can send you replacement rivet nuts. Please give us a call at 888-427-4466 and we can send those out to you. Thank you.
Hello thank you for your interest in our Sport Bar 2.0. It is 72" wide from end to end, so if your 1990 F-150 bed is about 72" wide (including bed rails) then it should be ok. Also note that it is 22.5" high so it may or may not be tall enough for lights if you wish to add lights.
Hello Dale, thanks for your interest in our Sport Bar 2.0. We offer the Sport Bar 2.0 in 2 different finish options. Most of the parts are the same textured black for both options. However, besides the one shown in the video we do offer an option for polished stainless steel front & rear tubes.
How are you going to put in the written instructions, for all customers to see, that it's a 2 hour install and then you show it's a 2 hour install WITH 2 PEOPLE?! It takes more than a minute to unwrap the saran wrap around the mesh, let alone put the bolts in to install. Will never sell again.
Matthew, we have not had the chance to test it and verify ourselves, so we can't officially say if it will work or not, but we have had customers send pictures of older F150s and they were able to make it work
These aren’t too bad I just can’t find a quote anywhere for the sport bar 2.0....... It’s 2018 & there are sooo few options for headacheracks/roof racks. It’s annoying. The only one I can find that is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for what I’m looking for is the ADD Honey Badger chase rack/roof rack combo. It looks beautiful but ykno how much it is? $5k!!!!! I mean really..... $2k for the chase rack and $3k for the roof rack add on?! It’s ridiculous man. Truck owners have been wanting these for decades, yet our options are extremely limited, especially if you don’t wanna blow 5k for some bars that will hardly see any wear & tear. The go rhino sport bar 2.0 is the closest I can find to the honey badger chase rack but it doesn’t have a roof rack option :,( ugh.. I guess the search continues. Maybe I’ll just build one myself lol if any one from go rhino can tell me how much these truck bed bars cost, I would greatly appreciate it! I’m in Texas if that affects the price at all. Thanks
Hello, thank you for your interest in the Sport Bar 2.0. Unfortunately, it is a product that fits on most vehicles and fits on them differently, so we aren't able to offer a roof rack that connects to it. However, we do sell roof racks that do not connect to it. Retail price for the standard Sport Bar 2.0 is $887.40 for textured black tubes and $997.90 for polished stainless tubes. If you want the power-actuated retractable light mount bar, that is another $388.40 or so. Note these are our suggested prices and you can probably find lower prices from our online partners like carid.com or realtruck.com Our warehouse is in Laredo, TX so shipping shouldn't take too long if we have the product available there.
Go Rhino Thank you for the response! I’ll take a look at some of yalls roof racks and see how they look when paired together. I know every truck is different. So making a universal roof/bed rack combo would be troublesome. I’m just searching for that “complete” look. I need racks to handle my dog & our long trips to the hill country so functionality is obviously most important. But I’m very picky when it comes to how my truck looks. I want it to look like it just came off the showroom floor while still being able to hit the mud pit. Unfortunately, there’s very little “complete” combo racks and it’s hard to mix and match to get the look I’m going for. Anyways, thanks again. I’ll take a look at more of yalls options. If y’all do make a combo rack in the future, please please pleaseeee tell me and post a video on RUclips lol we want more!!
Hello, thanks for your interest in the Sport Bar 2.0. Unfortunately, the cab on the F250 is a bit too tall for the Sport Bar 2.0 so it doesn't quite line up correctly. It will probably block any lights you add to it and will at least partially block the third brake light so we do not recommend it for the F250. A new taller version has been discussed by our R&D team, so we might see a new one come out in 2018.
Poor design... it rattles too much on the road and the bar doesn’t support the weight of the lights. I’d suggest a different product. Tried to find a solution with customer support and was not satisfied. I’m sure there are better products out there.
Aluminum doesn't corrode... That's why Ford is the best selling truck on the planet and Chevrolet is following after making the huge fuss over an aluminum body...
This video makes it seem so easy.lol take it to a pro who knows about lines and how to actually do it. One wrong move on this many adjustments can go south really quick. Love the look but a pain in the fucking ass to install.
A few of those gasket holes don’t even line up correctly. Glad I checked it against the actual sport bar or I would have drilled useless holes into my bed rails. What is wrong with you guys? The new 2.0 has a bracket that comes with it so you can mount it with a cover. This is the one. I might be wrong but I know you can buy brackets that will allow for a tonneau cover.
Unfortunately, we have not had the chance to test it on older vehicles, but if the width of the bed is about 50" like you said, it would be too short for the Sport Bar 2.0. We have a mid-size (smaller) version that is about 60" in width
