do you have to use the 6inch square lights for the retraction option or can i use a light bar ?
Scott, we specifically chose to use the square lights but you can use a light bar as long as it fits inside the housing when retracted.
Go Rhino. can you please tell me the inside retracted dimensions so I can ensure my lights will fit the bar.
Scott, the space is 6 7/8" x 42 5/16" so you can fit lights that are up to 6" tall (or square) like the Rigid Industries Q-Series lights that we have and/or up to a 38" light bar.
Go Rhino thank you ! Whats the depth ?
The 6" Q Series lights are pretty thick. The lights are about 3-3.5" deep but we wouldn't recommend anything more than that or you run the risk of the back of the light catching on the bar as it retracts.
Would be really great to see a detailed installation video really going into how to route the wiring from battery to lights and how to get the switches in the dash. And how to connect multiple lights to the same switch without having to run a bunch of wires the entire length. The holes are too small fit the wire connectors through. This bar has a very sturdy build quality but the designers did not pay close attention to details regarding how to make wiring through holes and bars easy. For the $$$$ being asked for this bar it needed to be better designed and also come with MUCH MUCH better instructions.
Love how they skip the crappy rivet nut installation. If you don't have a rivet nut tool you should order one from Amazon that can accommodate the rivet nut size or replace them all together with new bolts and rivet nuts like an M10 or 3/8-16.
I wish you'd have shown the nutsert install all the way through. Many say this is near impossible to do and it looks like the installer in this video was struggling, so they cut away. The install is far more important than a sales pitch for additional products.
How do you fix the play... wobble ...of the bar with the lights. I put 5 q series rigid lights like shown and adjusted the actuator to its max and proper adjustment and the passenger side wobbles while driving ? Anyway to fix that?
The one Drill bit every hardware store doesn’t have is a 17/32”... where i live each hardware store has to special order it. So make sure your hardware store carries it before you waste time going to every store in town looking for the unicorn of Drill bits!
Yep. Why they went with 17/32 I have no idea.
@@zCreepingDeathz spent two days searching for it. It's ridiculous.
The cover that comes on top of my sport bar did not come with it, how can I get it if I want my lights to be fixed?
Where can I buy these exact lights ?
Where did you get the lights that you installed on the Sports Bar? What are they called?
I buyed the 911600PS Sport Bar 2.0 Complete Kit, I need buy the 38” light bar now, what Rigid Industries series o model you recommend me ? Can I install a 40” light bar ? (Rigid Industries of course)
What weight in light pods and wiring, combined with the bar, can the actuator actually handle ? Would love an answer soon before I try to install this otherwise I’ll return this product and call it a failed experiment
Is it better to install the retractable tonneau cover before or after the Sport Bar 2.0? What I’m basically asking is… does the sport bar go over the tonneau cover or does the tonneau cover lay on top of the mounting plate of the sport bar?
Will it work on the new Toyota Tundra that has the digital rear view camera? It looks good but im worried that this function will be disabled or rendered unusable.
Where is the switch for the lights? does it go inside the cabin or just outside the bed?
Trying to hook up lights. Do I run extra wire or use your harness. If so how do you connect. Thanks
Where can i get those lights? That's the hard part
Hello Go Rhino, can you fit 9” round lights on the retractable light bar. Would it be only 4 of them
What size is the hole saw you used? C’mon guys you can’t have us guessing
Is it possible to show a video with more detail on how the nutsert is installed? On this video it looks like it didn't catch. (7:20)
Hello Andrew, it did take us a bit more time to get that in. You can call Ben or another tech at 888-427-4466 to help explain that a little better. Thanks.
You use a cordless impact driver to secure the bed-serts and a wrench to hold the sert jaw
What is the part numberFord 2019 raptor without the electric lights,
Hello, would this sport bar fit Super duty F450 2022 long bed with aluminum Rhino RetraxXR cover? Thanks in advance.
What part number are the Q series light for rollbar?
does this work with the retrax pro xr bed cover? Is it possible to use the T Slot rails to mount the sport bar?
Can I use a tonneau cover with this ?
You didn’t retract the lights all the way…are they able to go all the way down?
Does this bar make noise when you drive down the highway with the light retracted? For like a TRX any info I would be great full
If anything is going to make noise, it would be the lights not the chase rack. That being said, there are much better options for a TRX. ADD makes a chase rack with an actuator, and chase racks like the Armordillo can be modified to include one. These options will have a much stronger actuator to avoid light shaking and faster movement. I went the custom route for my TRX. Best of luck
is there enough room on the rails for the rough country low profile tonneau cover?
Hello I was interested in purchasing the power actuator for my sports bar where would I be able to find it? Also I was thinking I’m doing the led light bar any suggestions?
Ha ha you can see he could not get those stupid rivets to expand either FAIL design
What size drill bit you used to enlarge the hole to insert the bolt, I used the 17/32 but it seems to small, and I see in the video u used a bigger one
Sorry Boss, we forgot to mention in the video that you may need to enlarge the hole after the fact if it's not big enough to put the nutsert in. For this installation, we did have to switch to a 1/4" drill bit.
Will it work with a roll n lock tonneau cover on a F150?
Is there another type that has 3 to 6 inch diameter round lamps which have led bulbs? Square lamps are nice, but round are my kind of thing.
Yes, there are many companies that make round lights. We have used Rigid Industries R Series lights before on other products
Do you have one that fits a 13 Silverado 6’6” box
I’m from Philippines. will this fit on ford ranger raptor? and do you have a authorized distributor here?
Soo u have to drill holes no matter what?? 🤔
Didnt seem like nutsert install worked very well with the one they include , video skipped over it pretty quick 😂
wdf do you mean all three of them? the box only comes with 1!!!!
nicely done video. i just got my stainless version. how did you guys fit the wire down the front tube. the connector is way too big to make it through the pre drilled hole. also the wire coming off the actuator isn't long enough to make it down the tube yet your instructions show it doing this. did i get a bad one or is this typical. thanks
Yes, the harness plugs will not go through the tube at the top, so we recommend feeding the wire from the bottom to the top. It might also help you if you loosen it up a bit and then tighten it all back up after you get it through. Let us know if you have any other questions, or feel free to give us a call at 888-427-4466. Thanks.
Go Rhino the plug I'm talking about is coming from the motor that runs the retractable bar. No way to disconnect it. I'll call the help line. Thanks for the suggestion.
Nicely done thanks!
So nothing for Tacoma ?
Can you tell me of a cheaper pod light other then Rigid that would fit?
Lorenzo, there are plenty of companies that sell similar lights including Lumen, TrailFX, and KC Hilites
My F150 has a PE jackrabbit tonneau cover with a width of about 64.5 inches, I'm not afraid of a little custom work but am curious what the inside width of the bars is, and what the width of the mounting bolts is. Thank you
It looks like the Pace Edwards Jack Rabbit cover is a tractable cover with the bed retracting into a canister at the back of the bed. It should fit inside the 2" channel of the Sport Bar 2.0, but if you wish to speak to one of our technicians, please contact us at 888-427-4466. Thank you.
Hello Go Rhino! What is the recommended distance between the Sport Bar and the cabin? Can the distance be shorten by removing or transferring the third brake light from the roof to the bar? Thanks.
Honestly, it's really up to you how close you want the Sport Bar 2.0 to the cab. We just give you a general idea of where it should be but it could be different if you have a different vehicle and it's dependent on your tastes. Let us know if you have any other questions.
I’d appreciate a reply. I don’t have the same roll bar but I do have a oem Silverado roll bar on my 2018 Silverado. Can I install these lights on my different roll bar
Hello Isaac, we aren't 100% sure since we don't have a GM Sport Bar on hand here, but these are the Rigid Industries Q Series lights, which mount the same way as most light bars do, so you probably would be able to do that
That would be a nice add-on on my soon the be delivered Colorado ZR2 !!!
I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if this will still fit as I've already installed a Roll-N-Lock Tonneau Cover
It really only works with inset tonneau covers like the retrax mx pro etc.
@@ArkhonXIX I’ve seen pictures of this sport bar with a roll-n-lock installed.
how about wiring to lights or Tonneau cover used with this bar ?
i have an undercover flex flush mount cover but it can't fully open with this bar on the truck
Can that be put on top of a tongue cover look at my truck thanks
I meant town cover
Not very detailed or informative video :(
I have the "snap on" type of tanneau cover that you roll over when you need the bed. Would i be able to get my fingers in that space to snap the cover in place?
Roy, what is the name of the cover that you have so we can be clear what we are working with here? Thanks.
Usually, with those style of covers, there is a frame built on top of the bed for the cover to snap on to. Unfortunately, this framework would interfere with the Sport Bar 2.0 as the Sport Bar 2.0 rests on top and is drilled into the bed rail. There's only a 2" space within the channel inside the base of the Sport Bar 2.0 which may be too small to get your fingers in there. We usually recommend retractable or roll up style covers
Go Rhino that's right I forgot all about the frame. Thanks for the recommendation!
Who manufactures the lights that are on the video? Does anyone know the size or manufacture no for the lights on this video?
They are the Rigid Industries Q Series Lights
I am interested in picking up one of these for my 17 F150 short box. Will it work with the Pace Edwards Ultra Groove retractable tonneau cover?
Hello John, we have installed the Pace Edwards Switchblade before with the Sport Bar 2.0 and the Ultragroove has a similar setup so it should work
Were can the lighs for the sport bar be bought?
Did you get any answer ?
I've invested a significant amount of money and time into my truck. Typically I do it on a good budget, but this time I decided to splurge on this sport bar and replace my $300 one.
I should have left the $300 one on. It didn't come with useful hardware, manufactured incorrectly so nothing lines up, stripping out bolts. Wires are about 10 ft too short to get to the engine.
No space to run these wires inside of the tubing like it recommends.
They say keep everything loose until you set it in place, but it makes it physically impossible to get everything to line up correctly. And it actually resulted in me shattering my rear window (which I will PARTIALLY take responsibility for). I am not someone of a low skill set when it comes to these type of installations. I'd recommend you look somewhere else. The only way I would forgive this product is if they reimbursed me. You can save a massive chunk of money and still get a quality product elsewhere.
What combination of lights are you using , i notice 3 different models ??
The lights used are the Rigid Industries Q-Series "Hyperspot / Driving", "Flood", "Hyperspot", and "Spot" lights
The switch that operate the actuator is single pole -double throw ?? Can i put my hand on the wiring diagram ?
It's a double throw switch. We don't have any wiring diagrams as of yet but it should be all pre-wired
can the gorhino sports bar go on RAM rebel with rambox?
Sorry, but the Sport Bar 2.0 is not compatible with Rambox. It sits on top of the bed rail where the compartments open up.
เมืองไทย ส่งไหมครับ ราคาเท่าไหร่ครับ
I have a tri-fold bed cover so I guess this won't work with that
why does it not fit a 2013 chevy 1500 silver ado crew cab lt
We're not saying it doesn't, but we haven't had the opportunity to verify that ourselves as of yet.
What’s the exact model number for a 2014 tundra Crewmax?
You can order 911000T or 911000PS for the standard version, or order 911600T or 911600PS to get it with the power-actuated light mount bar pre-installed
Will it fit a dodge 2016 dually?
Yes, it should work for the 2016 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 dually trucks, for all bed sizes
what brand are those led lights?
the ones in the video
We used lights from Rigid Industries. Those are their larger 6" Q-Series lights.
Would this work with a bakflip mx4?
It should work, but you probably won't be able to fold it all the way up. We would recommend a rolling cover like the Revolver or a retractable cover
Could I get one of these for my 95 f150
This is a universal part meant for many different trucks, so it may work. Unfortunately, we have not had the opportunity to validate this product on a 1995 Ford F150 so we can't say that it will work for you.
Where can I buy these lights? They do not sell the lights that it is advertised with and even when I ask the company they will not tell me like it's classified info or something
Yes, the Sport Bar 2.0 is not sold with lights, but we used the Rigid Industries Q Series lights if you want to use the same ones that we did. You can find those lights at most online retailers. Let us know if you need assistance finding a dealer for those lights.
It has been stated numerous times, in pretty much every video made by Rhino that had the lights installed, that they used Rigid Industries Q Series Lights. It should also have been obvious that they are not included, seeing that they sell one with the power-actuator retractable mount (which is the reason it cost more) and one without it. You can also purchase the power-actuator retractable mount as an "add-on" item, and since it isn't advertised with lights, and specifically states, what size lights fit on it, common sense should have kicked in, and anyone with a brain should know the lights aren't included. If you would have spent a few minutes researching and actually READ, you would have found that "classified" information in no time. Instead, you wasted your time and everyone else's who happened to read your whiney comments on this video, and my guess is you didn't even read the replies to your comments that gave you the information you are looking for, and instead you're wasting more time whining in other places.
Will this fit a 2017 ford 150?
Yes it will work with the 2015-2017 Ford F-150, all bed sizes.
how do u hide cables?
The tubes are hollow, so you can feed them through the tubes while you are assembling the Sport Bar 2.0 to hide them.
At 7:24 when you realize you are struggling with rivnut tool... First off alllllll wiring access holes are garbage.. does the provided rivnut tool even work after seeing this guy and then skip over that step makes me wonder
Any of these for Nissan frontiers ???????
We actually have a smaller "mid-size" version for Tacoma & Colorado that might fit on the Frontier, but we have not had the chance to try that yet
Go Rhino what are the dimensions width from side to side ? I can measure my truck as well if he sizes are close to being the same I'll just buy one, like you said for Colorado or Tacoma
the outside edges are 61.5" apart and the mounting holes are about 58.5" apart. Also, it's slightly adjustable as well so if it's close, it might be possible to make it work. Let us know if you have any other questions
Did you end up trying it in your Frontier?
Unfortunately, we do not have a Frontier in-house to test that on so we would have to wait for an opportunity to get one in before that can be done.
I really like this product, but I drive an '01 Ram 1500. Not going to spend the money on ome If it eont work on my truck
Yeah, sorry we haven't had the chance to test it on the 01 Ram 1500 specifically
Wtf. All that and you didn't even show the finished install. What a waste.
Poor design... it rattles too much on the road and the bar doesn’t support the weight of the lights. I’d suggest a different product. Tried to find a solution with customer support and was not satisfied. I’m sure there are better products out there.
Yall really need to work on your instruction guides and quality control, having issues.
Hello folks, thanks for stopping by and checking out our Sport Bar 2.0 Installation video. Please note that at 5:35, Ben mentions using a 17/32" drill bit like it states in the instructions, but we suggest starting with to a 1/4" drill bit.
Would this fit a ford raptor 2013 and if so where can I purchase this?? Thanks!!
We've tested it on a 2017 Raptor, but unfortunately we haven't had the chance to test it on any earlier models
Where do the controls for the bar end up? Will I be able to move my lights from inside my cab?
Massimo, you can set up the controls wherever you want, it's up to you. A lot of people like to run the line into the cab so they can control it from the driver's seat.
Big pizza boxs look ridiculous
How come everything with the bar in the video is different than mine which supposed to be the exact same. Mine did not come with the lights nor the smooth Finnish. This is bullshit! How come the company makes a video with all the cool stuff that would lead you to believe it's an option which is Not? This thing was way overpriced for the product and I didn't even get what I wanted!
They say right in the video the black is textured, which means NOT smooth. ALSO, says that lights are sold SEPARATELY, which means NOT included. You didn't get what you wanted because YOU didn't read and listen. You should try those things out sometime....
Waste of time and money. Would not fit a Colorado and it was the proper model. Stay away from rhino!
It sucks
Will this work with a 2011 GMC 1500?
can this be modified to fit an 2018 f250?
I can't find it anywhere
Can this fit a 2010 ford f150?
What’s the exact model I can get for a “2008 silverado , 2500 Hd?
Unfortunately, we haven't had the chance to test fit it on a 2008 Chevy HD as of yet. Only up to 2011
What off-road lights work on this sport bar
Hello Lorenzo, while we prefer the lights from Rigid Industries, most brands of surface mount off-road lights should work on the Sport Bar 2.0. The top plate (or power-actuated light mount bar) has a series of holes and slots to bolt them in.
Will it fit on Chevy Colorado 2016? Just wondering.
Also, can I add tonneau cover with Sport Bar. How you do it with that?
Yes, we have a version that will fit the 2015-2017 Chevy Colorado shown in this video: ruclips.net/video/tTnACRV3WiI/видео.html
Ben quickly explains how it would work with a tonneau cover at 8:58 in this video. We have had the most success with retractable covers, like the kind you would find from Retrax or Pace Edwards.
will a tri fold such as gator fx work with it. I like the looks but need my tonneau cover. Thanks.
