I am so sad when I hear of Christians evangelizing without mentioning Jesus for fear of offending or being misunderstood. Almost all New Agers accept Jesus as a wise teacher. With gentleness, kindness, and love, use His words to make them consider their beliefs! This is why we should read and memorize Scripture, especially the Gospels. As a former Bay Area Deadhead and New Ager, it was His Word, spoken to me by a loving friend, that opened my mind, eyes and heart to Jesus's love and my need for Him as Savior.

I agree. You're giving all this first hand accounting of truth to a truth seeker and you're handing them Hos word without mentioning His name. It's an incomplete evangelism. There's power in His name.

I was a heroin addict for 11 years until a couple years ago when the Lord delivered me from it, but somewhere during that time, I was into psychedelics and my brother cooked ayahuasca tea for us. DMT for 9 hours straight is traumatizing, and I absolutely had to beg my brother to lay hands on me and pray for me for what seemed to be the majority of the time. When it first kicked in, I never threw up and I just absorbed all of it, and I began to panic and call anyone I knew who was an expert on the subject, asking if there was any way to counteract the drug. I even considered instinctively climbing a tree to try to get away from it, but my instinct immediately told me there's no way to be fast enough. Needless to say, I was overwhelmed even though I was no stranger to psychedelic experiences, as I was heavily steeped in psychedelic culture and I loved it. This was on such a higher level of experience, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It is for good reason that the Lord forbids all types of mediumship. I will say, that the Lord did eventually use that memory to point me away from the wisdom of people, and to Himself.

I’ve been to a Christian camp at BM. I don’t remember the name of it. It was some time between 2004-2006. They made food for anyone who wanted it. I went there twice for a meal. A friend of mine went every day. The people were very kind and welcoming. No one talked about Jesus. There were just pamphlets on the tables. There were also foot washing stations. The whole experience was lovely. I wasn’t a Christian then and so, I appreciated their relaxed approach. I also last went in 2015.

There are a couple ministries that go there (as of 2022) and do direct apologetics, as well as "needs and care" stuff like you experienced.
There's also a guy from a podcast called Canary Cry Radio who visits each year (along with some other guys) to report back on what new occult and trans-human terms Christians need to be prepared to confront.

Is anyone else at least a little concerned that not once was reading the Bible part of his testimony? Not to mention there is no wave of evil being set against Jesus, but His own Father's wrath coming down on Him as He bore our sins for us. I'm just surprised and thought I was going to hear a lot more on this man's repentance and learning about Jesus' commandments or the gospel... from the actual gospels.

The host seems eager to share his opinions and views, and especially right after the guest has shared a critical part of his story. • @outdoormedia77

So this is just constructive criticism and I could be way off base here but the guest kind of romanticized his life behavior. There is like no accountability of trashing your spiritual life. His comment about he thinks God allowed him to go through this so he could see all of this is a bit of a stretch. I mean you kind of listen to this guy and everything sounds like this could be adventurous, to say the least maybe I should give it a try or go out to burning man and check it out for myself.
I live about 3 hours from burning man I am well aware of what goes on out there. I have good friends that have a neighbor that goes every year and I was going to give them the link to this interview but, to be honest, I'm not getting your guest's attitude.
I love Cultish and will always watch it and support it and I can't wait for your expose on the SDA because that will have major consequences on the majority of people in our society but these last two episodes kind of left me with a bad taste.

“And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch: whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.”
      ‭‭Acts‬ ‭6‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (for as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.”
      ‭‭Acts‬ ‭8‬:‭14‬-‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.”
      ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬
And so on and so on. Laying on of hands is biblical.

"manifesting" is conjuring. It is a mental effort of one's will. It has effect, but it does not reflect the infinite will of God. I once had a friend who was out of work. She prayed for a job. She did not conjure for purposes of manifestation, but instead put the entire matter in God's hands. She sat and she prayed, "Dear lord, I need work because I have bills to pay. Please send me a job, even one that I could never imagine, but you can." Seven weeks later she had a new job in a field she never even knew existed ~ and her salary bump made all her concerns for expenses a non issue.

So I’ve listened to the podcast now, and I’m wondering did this man really believe that the picture he saw and vision he has was actually Christ’s face… or just a representation? He didn’t make it clear and that’s a bit concerning if he believes an image made of Christ is actually Christ.

In the vision it was a man's face in three dimensions, just as if someone had walked up to me on the street. The representation that I later saw had captured that face, like a painter's portrait would.

That portrait of christ is suspect imo. He wouldn't have been as white as that and the bible says that Jesus wasn't good looking. It also says not to make any graven images. So there are 3 red flags based on scripture already. Not to mention that when you look into this sprit dream group they have their roots in ihop and christian mysticism. This has great deception written all over it. And I take no pleasure in saying this. I aggrieved by what is happening in the church and am personally affected by this web of destruction. the Bible also says a bad tree can't produce good fruit so you can get good fruit from a ministry that is born out of unbiblical practices. Also born out of ihop are christian tarot card reading and leaders who attend conferences called the "new mystics." There is no place for boundaries clearly laid out in scripture when the goal is experience based. That is the root of the problem. We are warned all throughout scripture of a false christ, a false gospel, and a false spirit.I just pray for clarity for anyone affected by the wolves in the church. We have lost all fear of God

In what sense? I can tell you, I have known Will for almost a decade and he is 100% authentic in everything he says. I was in close communication with him throughout his world travels and had a frontrow seat to his gradual transformation and eventual baptism. Will is a good man, to the extent the sinful, fallen human being we all are can be. All men are flawed and need Christ's forgiveness. There are none who are truly righteous but, Will is a better man than most.
I would look after the mote in your own eye rather than question the legitimacy of a brother in Christ's personal relationship with Jesus.
Jesus is the way the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father but by Him. But, people come to Jesus in a million billion different ways. Because of His grace, love and forgiveness, there is no path that can keep a lost sheep from finding Him. There is nowhere on earth from which the Light of The World cannot be seen and nowhere from which any person can't begin following Him right now today. There's no qualifying location one must arrive at on their own to become acceptable to Jesus. If we had to be worthy of Jesus' love, none of us would receive it. But, praise Jesus, He gives us His Love and covers us with His protection, despite the fact we are so unworthy of it.
After being saved, we are perfected in our faith. This doesn't happen overnight. It's not an immediate process. It's not as though we never stumble in our walk with Christ but, when we do, He is there to steady us if we turn to Him.
Will has been a Christian for 2 years and is on fire for the Lord. His faith is his primary driver in Life, more so than most Christians I know, myself included. I know this because I know how he spoke and how he approached life before his baptism. I know what was important to him then. I know what matters to him now. So I know for a fact that his faith and service is unquestionably the most important part of his life. Even though I have been a Christian much longer than Will, I look up to him as a brother in Christ.
We judge a tree by its fruit. The fruit in Will's life is ripe and abundant. The change in him and his life since his baptism is palpable. Jesus is working in him and in his life and has a purpose for him to fulfill. Of that, I have no doubt.

    • @AspenCreekFarms
      @AspenCreekFarms Год назад

@@travisfleenor2418 in what way did I question his relationship with Christ or “desire” to follow Him or his sincerity. 26 of 27 books in the New Testament alone warn against false teachers. They are said to be deceived and go on deceiving. It also says it would deceive even the very elect if possible and it’s has crept into the church unawares. My point is simply to look with a critical eye of the teachings we follow that are unbiblical and to call it out publicly. I have been studying some of this new age deception for years because it personally affected someone I love so I’m particularly sensitive to certain buzz words and beliefs. The group that has discipled him is getting their teaching talking points from the NAR which I call the web of destruction. I could go on for pages about all the problems concerning this group but I am of the belief after years of research and prayer that they will be instrumental in the great deception and the church turning away from sound doctrine like described in revelation. If the fruit you are looking for is just simply life change or peace etc. then how do you explain when people get that result from new age practices or other religions or self help or lots of things that people testify to helping them in life. It’s not the only metric and it’s dangerous to allow just any teaching that produces that result as biblical. I’m not questioning this man’s salvation or sincerity, but I do question that of a lot of the leaders of the NAR and challenging Christians to stick with the Bible because it is the power of God unto salvation. We don’t need to trick anyone into accepting the truth of Gods word or try to be like the world. We are warned about that repeatedly.
The Bible says my people perish for lack of knowledge and also warns that people can diligently seek Him and not find Him. Forgive me for not getting you the verse I’m just short on time but will gladly do it later.
This is a complex issue that’s what makes it so hard to fight against. It’s hard to touch all the points in a brief paragraph or two but I have a ton of resources if anyone is interested in digging deeper. Again I’m not judging the man’s heart. I just think he’s being led astray and seems to be prone to wandering off into myths so probably shouldn’t be put in a position of authority.
It is biblical to judge false teachings. The verse you quoted about removing the log from your own eye has nothing to do with that but is misused to shut down this kind of questioning.
The bereans were of most noble character because they searched the scriptures daily to see if what Paul was saying was true.
      Peace

When it comes to ingesting anything, a good rule of thumb is “the dose makes the poison”. Too much of anything can be dangerous, even too much water. It’s important to examine what it is, what the potential effects are in different amounts, and the purpose of why you’re taking it in that amount. A good example is wine, Jesus turned water into wine at a wedding! Alcohol can be extremely dangerous in certain quantities, and when used for different purposes. If you’re having a glass at a wedding because you like the taste and you’re enjoying the celebration, that’s one thing. But if you’re having an entire bottle by yourself to numb the emotional pain you’re going through, that’s different and not okay in the eyes of God. In the case of ayahuasca it sounds like people are seeking to use it to heal themselves of trauma and emotional pain, which is what we should seek Jesus for.
