Make the sickle handle.
The handle of my sickle broke due to age, so I replaced it myself.
If something breaks, instead of throwing it away, try to fix it and use it again.
This is the Japanese "Mottainai spirit."
If you just replace the handle with a new one, it can still be used.
Instead of buying a sickle handle, I made one myself using some pruned loquat branches.
This is an amateur DIY project, but I hope it will be of some use to you.
鋸鎌の柄が、老朽化で折れてしまったので、DIYで交換してみました。
壊れたら、捨てる。ではなく、直して使うにチャレンジ。
THE ジャパニーズ『もったいない精神』です。柄さえ新しいのに変えたら、まだまだ使えます。
鎌の柄は、買わずに剪定してあったビワの枝から自作してみました。
一素人のDIYですが、少しでも参考にしていただけたら幸いです。

飛び出た部分はきっちり切らずに少し長めにして、逆側からハンマーで叩いて潰すか曲げると釘が緩んでも抜けなくなりますよー。
