I was thinking more of the blob cuz I remember watching the movie and it had tentacle things that would shoot out and attach to people remember that movie The blob this whole story reminds me of it. This blob thing that dissolved everything it touched

I absolutely love the old creative commons stories Doc, theyre definitely some of the best. Not to say the folks writing currently arent good, but these old stories have a lot of imagination in them. Perhaps because of the fact we hadnt collected as much knowledge of the world then, idk, but i love the.

This had a Lovecraftian FUNGUS SLIME MOLD vibe. Excellently silly story. Loved it. I had this bizarre image of a kid summersaulting into the ooze. Damn! :-)

Aha! I thought this was written from an earlier era, due to the wording, phrasing, and such. I liked it, while it was noticeably dated, it had a pretty pheasible prediction into more modern technologies (I mean, we don't all have private jets, but some people can afford them) and gave it almost a genre of it's own. Quite charming if you ask me. Thanks for the story, as always, Doc.
