I live about 3.5 hours away from mammoth cave, I love when I hear stories that are literally close to home. And the best person to narrate them
I live about couple hours away! I'm about 99% sure I've been there when I was really young and 100% sure my parents have.
This is going to be trippy lol
Thanks Dr.Creepen.
Thanks for the story & keepin believing 💫
I just can't sleep until I get the story from the Doctor. 💕
Doc I loved this so much this is my second time through. It's old school brilliance and I can't thank you enough for bringing back so many of these awesome old stories. I absolutely loved the amazing science that is used by the author. Kind of made me think of a 19th century Michael Crichton.RIP . As far as I know you are the only narrator doing this, thank you for shedding light on some anazing tales that but for yourself would be lost forever.
I'm living in Kentucky. I was just staying in a log cabin on a lake right by Mammoth Cave last week. Now I am in Appalachia and loving it. We left Oregon forEVER, at least I hope so... This is where I was born. This is where I want to be. Oregon is dying quickly in a violent, fiery storm. It will be over slowly. It's dying a slow, tortured, painful death.
I know this may sound craycray BUT I watched the GRIMM series on Netflix last summer and its eerie how close to all the violence and unrest the show came to what was going on in the 20.
Hope nothing burns where you are! I'm from Tennessee, the Gatlinburg fire scared the hell out of me.
Do you have an extra jar of white lightning to spare? 😉
So true! Portland killed Oregon. I heard half of Oregon wants to secede or like join Ohio or idaho or whatever (should have played more attention in geography class lol)
I'm planning on moving somewhere like the Appalachians soon. California is a doomed state
It’s because you vote for idiots up there…
A good old pulp SF story, with technobabble and a bizarre monster. Thanks, and Happy Birthday!
I grew up in Edmonson Kentucky. I've been to Mammoth cave like 100 times! It's beautiful
Love the idea of a creature that is large, but flat! That would be so unsettling to watch move around.
I hope you had a wonderful birthday! It was very kind of you to gift us with this great story and narration on your special day . Thank you, and many happy returns.
Happy birthday Dr.Many happy returns of the day.☑️
I hope you had a perfectly lovely birthday, Doc!🌹🧁❤️
Happiest Day of your birth Dr.! Warmest thoughts to you on such an important occasion.
Looking forward to this week's stories too.
It’s his Birthday?!? Outstanding! I wish I could do something more, he’s given me so very much and it’s helped me in many ways. I do wonder how old he is? Anyways, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR CREEPEN!!! 🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♂️🧁🎂🍰! For the Dr!
Happy birthday to you. A story and my favorite drink just can't beat it. Thank you
Well, a certainly amazing and unique story with an invisible to us, and 2 dimensional beast, which I still can’t create an image of, was a damn great listen! Hats off to the author, Captain S.P. Meek, for an extremely well written tale, showing some damn good knowledge of light spectrums and our abilities and disabilities! Loved it and definitely would love a sequel. And as also thanks to the Dr for his Birthday contribution to us just for our listening pleasure. When he should be celebrating with his wife(? Not sure if he’s married) But still he devotes so much, he deserves even more back. Excellent work!! 👍🎂🙋🏽♂️🍰! All for you Dr.!
Thanks, Doc! What a perfect story for me to listen to as I wind down my evening, here, in Kentucky. 😂
Omg I am stoked for this! I was born in a town only 20 miles from this in Kentucky! The first story was amazing. I’ve been to Mammoth Cave once.
Same,I was raised just outside bg
@@jinxthegreat6533 Awesome! I am from Bowling Green. Was there 29 years and now I’m in Florida.
@@MandieASMR I was in alvaton, and smiths grove.now in Missouri. Never seen horrors in the park, but the trails in the fall kinda makes it worth it😃
Interesting, so what exactly did you go there to get or do ?
And do you love traveling?
Every school child in Tennessee, just about, has been to Mammoth cave for several field trips. Always wanted to go to the unexplored areas, well I used to want to.
As a Tennessean I can confirm
@@mecanwinmac2796 just talked to my honey about this story tonight. We have to go tour it now that I kept him awake listening to this while I was snoring!.......for the record I relisten while I work
I sure went there as a kid back in the 70s while down there a storm blew in and the power went out, what a mess that was

Well, that’s perfect timing. First bit of free time come with a new story. Cheers Doc!
Now, let’s see how deep this goes.
Happy birthday mate thanks for all your great work it always helps to get me through the grave yard guard shift.
Sorry I'm late Dr. Creepen I will get to this momentarily! Thank you for all you do sir!
Happy Birthday, I absolutly love listening to you reading stories, you are wonderful.
Whoa just in time to be enjoyed while driving to the office. Thank you sir!
Story like that didn't go to waste. It was left for the good Doc to tell us!
Thank you Doc. As soon as I heard about the massive labyrinth of caves underneath Kentucky I've been hoping a story would come along with that as a setting. While I'm not surprised I'm glad you were the man to take us there.
This story does remind me a little of those classic 50s Sci Fi movies where the city is overrun by giant grasshoppers or whatever and the entomologist from the local community college sweeps in and singlehandedly declares martial law - overruling generals, calling in air strikes etc. Not a criticism. I love those movies. If it wasn't for them I'd never have heard of John Agar or Peter Graves.
Happy Breaching Day Doc! Thanks for the fantastic narration!
Keep up the good work man me and my kids love your channel we were in that cave system last year oh I wish I was able to play this before we went lol
Happy birthday doc ! Thanks for the story
Happy birthday doc!!! Enjoyed the story today! Thanks for all you do!
Happy birthday to the king of creepy. 🥂
A good old Kentucky story ! Thanks Doc ! Still one my favorite story tellers of all time 😊
Interesting story indeed!
Happy birthday Doc !!
A tale from my neighboring state, Dear Doctor? Will your buttery smooth voice have a southern twang tonight? Happy Monday, All! 😊💜💙💚💛❤
My family in KY. Looking forward to this podcast.ty. Interesting state. ..those back hills are creepy,Yes!!!
Haven't been down to Mammoth caves in quite some time, but it is surely worth at least a visit. Very amazing place.
Happy birthday wishing you good health and many more b-days to come. Oh an I love your narrations and story choices. Thanks.
I used to want to live in a cave, Flintstones style. Not so much any more.
If I smell musk in a cave I'm gone!
I usually skip monster stories but the sciencey stuff made this a lot more interesting. I love the shape of this thing, it's really cool.
I had a pet cave bat I'd feed moon crickets.
Matty the bat would fly to the door each night screech, I'd open the door he'd (I say he but not sure) would fly around the room then light on my shirt and crawl up to my neck and lick and nuzzle.
I'd get the crickets and feed Matty up, give Matty water.
Matty would then fly to where my pitbull was and lay on top of her.
Matty would stay for about an hour then want back out till next night.
He left out one night and got snatched by an owl... Miss Matty.
I found Matty while exploring a cave and he was on the ground with fishing line around his wing which stopped him from flying and that's how I got my bud Matty the Bat.
At this time I was Single and on weekends always had parties and everytime Matty showed up the women were at first scared of Matty but he liked licking there area where they put perfume.
I can only assume that he did that for the alcohol (at least that's the way I want to see it, Matty the party Animal)
Never bit anyone and was always gentle and playful.
Happy Birthday Doc! Thanks for the consistent source of such great stories, especially ones so incredibly narrated. It’s so rare to hear such wonderful inflection and feeling in a narrators voice, one gets drawn in almost immediately. Please know that your gift of narration contributes immensely to the experience, and know that we appreciate it even more. 〰️AJ
The DRs inflection really takes a grand story.and puts it over the top.
Thank you Doctor and Author. Well written and narrated. Greg Chaney in coastal N.C
Always a good story, thank you my friend
Happy birthday Dr. you definitely are a pleasure to listen to you help me in so many nights get to sleep and relax feel entertained and I’m very grateful thank you…

Damn right a Happy Birthday to you! Since I don’t ever get to the story at the actual day it’s posted, I’m going to go out on a limb as I’m curious as to which astrology sign he is.

Hello Dr., everyone. I've been to Mammoth caves, gorgeous.
Same, when I was a kid in the 70s.
@@0therun1t21 how did you guys survive???
Happy Birthday 🎊🎉🎂🎈,Dr, hope you had a great day!💖💖💖
@@fire_rises It was just a commercial walking tour through the safe places with man-made floors and railings where needed. I was a little kid, I went with my mom and stepdad. The only thing like that I've ever done without an official guide was rappel down a 200 ft. sinkhole somewhere in Cumberland Gap with my stepdad. He was the spelunker, but he was only around about 4 years so I didn't get to go caving with him, I was too young and had an injury that prevented me from being upside down for more than a few seconds.
This sounds like it is based in the mid 20th century 40 or 50s.
During that time Fort Knox, ky in Louisville was a cavalry based. The biggest in the US. It had all the tanks.
I’m from Louisville and served in the both the regular army and Kentucky national guard.
The was a good story but the author should have done more research.
Fort Knox dealt in Armor up until 2005, and isn't in Louisville.
Loved this story hope to hear a part 2 from the past or future of the cave
An awesome story! Great job!! I live in Kentucky. My dad and sister have been to Mammoth cave. They say it's awesome. I used to work in Glasgow lol. Excellent job Dr.!
I listened to all six of these. Excellent to listen in sequence.
Ooh, the good Doc and my home state? *gets comfy and listens*

Happy Birthday Dr.! I to have been to Mammoth cave. Awe inspiring!
Thanks for the story. Mammoth cave is beautiful. Heard its your birthday. Happy birthday sir 😎💯
New to this channel.and I am very impressed with the this story.and wonderful narrator. I love mammoth cave and have visited almost every year for over 20 years.and several trips as kid with my parents in the late 70s and early 80s.
Love the fact that this story is set in what I would guess.is supposed to be the early years before the national park service took over.
Happy Birthday Doc.

Happy birthday Doc thanks for the best story heard in a good while bravo oh your 25 today love the work thanks 👍
Happy Birthday, Doctor!
DOC I admire you! Working on your birthday! Happy birthday friend!🎆🎂🍕🌭🌮🌯🍗🍎🍍🍇
Extremely enjoyed this author. The protagonist having the full weight of the US military at their disposal while also having a keen intelligence gave this an anime -esk boss fight like story ark.
*Like if "Hououin Kyouma" and "Rambo" had a kid.*
This was a fascinating story about the beast in the cave. The plot was well written and the tale was well told. Just listened to this Tuesday. Thank you. Have a great week @Dr Cr. Creepen. ❤
Happy birthday, Doc!
Obviously one has to be willing to suspend disbelief to enjoy horror/creepypastas but I'm having major trouble with the whole "bulk in mainly two dimensions" premise. Is it just me?
You not alone
I'm going to pair this ghastly tale with a nice glass of Merlot.
Cheerlicious 🍷
Thanks for uploading this great story
Happy late birthday. And you are great and telling stories bub. Keep it up
Happy Birthday to you :) great stories...
Happy birthday Doc!
Another perfect prescription 👍
Happy Birthday! Fellow Leo!

As Smooth as my whiskey, Dearest Doctor; 😉😎🌹
As always.. Such a Pleasure to be hearing another amazing read! You do justice for these stories ❣️❣️
Thanks again.💯💕
I worked on a preserve a river bend up from mammoth cave national park. That whole area made me be careful, there where literally dozens of sink holes, cave entrances, and blue holes. Ranging from holes a couple feet wide and 10 feet deep , to 20 yards wide and hundreds of feet deep.
The quality of these classic tales is so noticeable, compared to a lot of the creepypasta. Even with somewhat "oldtimey" characterization and writing, these are simply writers with more skill, than a lot of the creepypasta contributors.
I love hearing stories about Kentucky
Yeah, I agree with the scientist in this story: he made a lot of dumb mistakes.
When a creature is strong enough to stop a tank and then fold it a bit, nothing short of direct air-to-ground missile strike is going to actually harm it in any significant manner.
Happy belated birthday, Doc.
Wow, this author is remarkable! I really enjoy pastas where the technical knowledge of the author clearly exceeds guns and ammunition.
🎂🎈happy birthday Doc! Hope you have many more good ones!
What? Happy Birthday Doctor Creepen🤍💋🤍
Very, very cool story. Thanks to the author and a nice flow and imagination, thanks to you and your very particular talents.
Have an awesome day🌙💫
Thanks for appreciating him I love that dear
One thing you'd NEVER be allowed to bring in a cave is a gun. Blown ear drums and possibly a cave in.
A Very Happy Birthday Dr C l hope you hv a wonderful day 💝💝💝
All I can say is there is something dangerous in Kentucky. Happy birthday! See you soon dearest Dr
