There are many many excellent doctors and therapists in small towns and I doubt this presenter is petty enough to want people to be jealous of her knowledge.
The 11th & MOST essential tip: Watch Arthritis Adventure! Your videos not only educate me but also make me feel like I am not alone with this crazy pain - a lot of us struggle with this life-challenging condition, & watching you always makes me smile because your attitude is so fun & "can do!" Thank you!
Alyssa, I am so thankful I found your channel! I am 63 years old and have been diagnosed with severe osteoporosis. I also have arthritis. Your videos are such a huge help! Thank you!
Great advice. Thx I advise people to avoid prolonged sitting (& standing & walking) Get up every hour and do some of these exercises and walk around a bit
Alyssa you are an angel. 5 years ago i suffered from chikangunia affecting most of the joints. Following your tips and exercises for 2 months i now have better mobility, less pain, more activity and yesterday my nephew complimented me on my walk that has improved from limping to balanced steps. All thanks to you dear.

I am glad I found this channel it's so calming to listen to you, and the time you take to explain the process of each exercise I am just loving it my God 🙏.
Outstanding. I couldn't help but wonder if each of these tips would also help to produce an overall healthier individual. Incorporated together, these tips should lead to a longer, happier life. Proper nutrition, enough thorough sleep, routine exercise and stretching, and a confident mindset are rules to live by. Thank you Alyssa.
It’s not by accident I stumbled across your 3 minute videos on FB. I’ve been told my forearm and hip are affected with osteopenia. I look to build bone health , muscle in these areas. I believe with your exercises, I will do this.
I find that making my bed in the morning helps me stretch and move to help me get moving. I also do some gentle squats holding on to the bed post. Going for a 15-30 minute walk every day is also helping. I really appreciate your videos and suggestions!!!
Morning doc saw ur notification on leg stiffness 4 years ago had both hips replaced I feel good after the hip replacement anyway nice to see u on u tube with all do respect u are so very nice and pretty thank you
Alyssa, you could do meditation tapes! Your voice is very calming. For those with neck issues, sometimes trying a wadded up towel, shirt, or any other soft item placed in the neck curve area at night helps. It can be hard finding the right pillow!
Your most recent "short" video is very true for me -- cannot do side-lying clamshells without aggravating my hip pain. Instead, I can do seated clamshells with a band OR back-lying bridges with a band.
I have shared your videos with my orthopedist, several friends and family members. I had a torn meniscus 14 years ago and a torn ACL 2 months ago. The x-rays also show arthritis. Your videos have been a great help. I still struggle with consistency, but I'm working on it. THANKS!!!
Since following your videos I am now walking 7 miles a day unaided. After my knee injury, I was told by doctors I wouldn't be able to walk unaided or run again. How do I get running?
Unlike this lovely professional❤, I am not a physical therapist. However; I think she would agree, ‘ running’ might not be a best goal!( hard on joints). Brisk walk!
That is awesome!! I was reading some articles on running with arthritis and it can be done but not hard core. I myself use to run and intend to get back to it but not the lengthy miles I use to do or the pace. More like jogging instead. Good luck and great job!
Hi Alyssa great videos very informative you have given me a lot of great information on how to deal with my hip osteoarthritis but what if you have un even hips that is giving someone in me a pronounced difference in length between both legs. Cheers keep up the great videos.
Make sure your hips, knees AND ankles are supported also. I like to keep my spine straight so I like my pillow a little flatter but supports my neck too. Sutera pillows works for me.
Hello from Algeria where I'm trying to follow lots of your good advice. I'd love to become a member, however, the fees are way out of reach for me. It's triple my annual retirement 😢. Anyway lots of thanks. I've learned a lot from you and I'm implementing a lot too.
Hi Dr Alyssa, I just found your channel as I just started to experience terrible knee pain in left kneei I never thoght of dealing with this nearly debilitating pain as an adventure! But I have always been kind of adventurous so i think, I will give your methods a try!? I so hope they work as i like to be fairly active with things like swimming and some workouts at the gym. Thanks Allysa. I'll let you know how it goes, Larry
I heard from another therapist that it is good to strengthen quads if you have OA in the knee. Exercises when you lay flat with your leg extended and then squeeze the quad while press to the mat is harmful to the knee. I would think having strong quads is important for the knee. What do you think?
Love your videos and they are so helpful. When you speak of fluid in joints or swelling, can a 40 year old hip replacement ( an Austin Moore) cause either? I am a young at mind, healthy 74 yr old. A car accident in '81 left me a shattered femur and six breaks in pelvis, fractured vertebrae and lumbars. I stretch as best I can, and found your simple exercises of tapping forward, to sides and backward very helpful for pain, but squats and the inner groin area of hip replacement painful. I would just like to walk a block or two, but the hip locks up short way into a walk. Is this fluid build up or lack of fluid?
Thanks for your ideas and advice. I have an additional headache and that is incontinence. I can't control myself then. Sometimes I have to keep quite because I don't want to disturb my husband sleeping next to me. Inspite of it I try to do some stretching to avoid that stiffness. Can you suggest anything for me? And aboveall my husband has to help me out of bed because I have fallen off my bed and he is nervous that it may happen again. Sorry a long message. I am thankful for your guidance. It helps me!
