Exercises when you lay flat with your leg extended and then squeeze the quad while press to the mat is harmful to the knee. I would think having strong quads is important for the knee. Love your videos and they are so helpful. When you speak of fluid in joints or swelling, can a 40 year old hip replacement ( an Austin Moore) cause either? I am a young at mind, healthy 74 yr old. A car accident in '81 left me a shattered femur and six breaks in pelvis, fractured vertebrae and lumbars. I stretch as best I can, and found your simple exercises of tapping forward, to sides and backward very helpful for pain, but squats and the inner groin area of hip replacement painful. I would just like to walk a block or two, but the hip locks up short way into a walk. Is this fluid build up or lack of fluid?

I've got some bone spurs pushing down on some of the nerves and mild scoliosis. Morning stiffness is definitely a pain to work with. I worked with a chiropractor but haven't gotten much relief. I've been avid runner but this creates a lot of pain now. So, how do you manage the fact that someone like me loves to exercise, which is helpful, but your body is saying no. Thank you.

Not an exercise but I cut flip-flops to fit the heel of my sneakers and boots. They provide a good cushion to walk on.

But what if like me.. I'm born with arthrogropsis multiplex congenita so I have limited range of movement in all my leg joints.. my feet have zero motion.. here because can't sleep feel pain my foot is locked and my knee .. I'm trying to move in my bed from side to side it helps a little.. should I put elastic bandage at night? I have had more and more morning pain after carrying a heavy bag. I do use a pillow/blanket between knees for support

Most of the time I don't have joint pain when I wake up and I feel like a NORMAL PERSON.
It feels like the brain and the body has not connect. But more than hour later I will feel the stiffness throughout the day .Only painkillers helps for the pain.
I also find it difficult to sleep for days due to pain or I just can't fall asleep. Do I perhaps lack nutrients in my diet that prevents me from sleeping.

I had a body pillow but got rid of it a couple years ago .. I never used it. What about sleeping on an angle in bed ( for acid reflux relief) . Is this bad for the back ?
