Precise sounds require precise movements.
@@TheAtb85 You can be precise without being robotic. Also, being robotic takes away from musicality because it's usually the minor differences in players that give them their own groove and makes you feel the music. If everyone played everything precisely, it would suck. That's why live performances can be so great and have a different feel, because no two performances will ever be the exact same.
It's especially ironic when you remember that she came from a classical piano and violin background

there’s a whole world of modern jazz that’s blooming right now, with young people like Jesus Molina, Jacob Collier, JD Beck, and DOMi absolutely dominating their craft, it’s a really cool pop/2020 twist to traditional jazz theory
not even to mention Ariana Grande’s music is actually really interesting from a music theorist perspective, i’m glad that people like her are popular now and really exploring boundaries of music

One thing I love about watching people play is that once they're comfortable with their instrument you can often get a sense of the player's personality bleeding through in how they handle the instrument.

When I close my eyes and listen, I can hear how playful their spirits are, not over powering the other, but soaring around together in this eloquent dance, pulling each other up, rising and falling simultaneously.

Have you ever noticed a lot of short songs like this feels 3 min when you listen too it but its actually 1 , or is it just me ?
Complexity and depth beat length. Lots of songs are long but completely generic with nothing special, the mind easily absorbs it. Music like this isn't absorbed as easily. There's more moving parts to appreciate.
