I'm a (fairly) old man of 50 who's been playing music (keys and guitar) since I was a toddler, and... Hearing your work for the first time a few weeks ago inspired me in a way no one had done in a long time. I was visiting my 76 y/o dad last week and played "A Map, A String, A Light" for him (via Spotify) and he was absolutely moved by your work. Please keep doing what you're doing, and I hope your travels bring you to PHX sometime soon; I'd love to hear you play live, solo or with Covet.

Not sure if this is what she was going for but "Jolt" is a perfect name for this piece. The strong pull of the groove from 6/8 meter really lulls you into a calm sense of "everything is just and controlled" as you steadily bounce your knee to evenly divided measures of 3 and 3; only to have to JOLTed awake by the abbreviated measures of 5/8, or subdivisions of 2 and 3. This song REEKS of tension and release; and that's exactly what makes it great and (maybe?) gives it its name. Phenomenal work once again from Yvette!!

I always love seeing the expressions of pure joy on musicians' faces as they play. It's so divine.
