As a kid, my uncle owned a E-Type. Literally 3 or 4 blocks from where I live,I regularly pass a XJR with the V-12. For me, knowing that African Americans own Jags of that classic caliber, is truly special.
Gorgeous absolutely beautiful piece of machinery. I would definitely most definitely get 1 of these for myself. But Joe u know me, I have to go with the 2020 Jaguar F-Type SVR. I remember u made a review on the 2020 Jaguar F-Type SVR couple months ago. Absolutely awesome videos each and every single fricking day man, keep it up my man Joe Raiti from Raitis Rides. Thanks Joe.
While I think the F-Type, especially in coupe form is easily one of the best looking cars currently in production and of all time, I would not spend extra for the checkered flag edition. The exception would be if I had unlimited wealth and had to choose a future collectible . Even then though, I would probably choose the SVR.
Not for the F-Type.It's only depreciation for the REAL expensive ones cause people lease them instead of buying them and that really super depreciates the value of any car.Mercedes and BMW depreciates more than Jaguars do and that's why you see a lot of people driving them
Yeah those those new corvettes does look better than the F-Type as much as i'm a Jaguar fan.I like hearing the truth and telling the truth more than anything
I had to do a double take when you said the hp. You could get a c63s for less and it'll beat the pants off this thing. The HP is a huge zonk and embarrassing on Jaguars part. This should be around 400 hp.
I just like how the F-Type rear end of them look. The Front isn't all that fancy looking like the XKR looks.I wish the XKR came with the F-Type rear end and it will look better than an Aston Martin.I hope they bring the XK back out after the year 2021 and give it a whole Aston Martin DB11 look in the front(Since Aston Marin stole the look of the 2012-2015 Jaguar XK DRL Head lights design, they should borrow their whole DB11 front end look) and keep it's same circular XK grill with an F-Type rear end look for the back. The XK's will be AMAZING if they created the new ones to look like that!
Never been a big Jaguar fan, but this is one of the most beautiful cars of all-time. At $80k though, it should come standard with a more powerful engine and a DCT. Less than 300hp is inexcusable.
your review made me get into an 2020 XE P300 HSE... best decision of my life so far. but now... Now, I am unsure which of the F-types to pick. i gotta pick one: I have an option of a 2.0 (where everybody says, yeah, thinking man's car) and the Checkered Flag editon of an V6. (moneywise it is not an issue - I have probably heard every bit of explanation/point for and against it... just can't decide. I know, personally, I would directly pick a V8, but this is not an option. And i am running out of time. What's your point on this, @ Raiti and @everybody else.
Joe, great review remember when I first saw the F-Type believe in 2010 could be '11 (I get timing confused cause it's around the same time the Viper came back and got its sweet redesign and both F-Type and Viper hoods were lined up behind each other with reverse hoods lifted) anyways they need to offer the full manual option. I think it's a robbing consumers of choices especially with a car packed with so much heritage. PS: I saw that Camaro trying
Great review. Im not usually a Jag guy but this is nice. Got some Aston Martin goin on too. Curious tho, whats your honest opinion in the reliability of Jag?
In Germany you get massive discounts for Jaguars, especially when you lease a F-Type with your business you will pay a laughable amount considering the real price of the car.
Joe, another great review! Beautiful car, since I am a Jaguar owner now a XK. That car was nice. Just the four cylinder is a strange choice. I would go with the V-6 model.
Wow. Lost me at 296 hp and 380 plus horsepower. Are they serious. That’s so zonk worthy. What can I write that conveys the disappointment in such dismal numbers. Smh
Nice looking cars, too bad Jaguars and Rovers are know for poor reliability issues. Real money pits as they get older! Still not as breath taking as the original XKE models from the 60's.
Great review Joe! I thought the F types came with a V8, or at least had a V8 option. Is this something new for 2020? 4 banger and no manual=Double ZONK!!
I thought they offered the manual option since 2016...cause I know the new redesign model for 2020 is no longer offering the manual on any trim level so I was kinda look to get V6s manual between 2016 and 2020
Joe there is no arguing how nice Jag's look but re-sale value destroys it. Not a fan of the dash at all that weird center stack on stack on stack look is just odd to me. Seriously a 4 cylinder ? Run for the Hills.
I love the jaguar f Type, it’s very sexy and nice!! I really love the jaguar I pace! I love Electric cars! You been hocking loogies lately? i have its a guy thing lol! Do you hock loud? I’m going to a car show that comes here in Memphis every October, I’m going for the first time! I can’t wait
@@RaitisRides I just dont see the point of the FType 4 Pot. For the half the price you could get a high spec VW Golf R, which has the same power. My comment was not a judgement of your video, more a protest at Jaguar, which i have told them as a former V6 owner.
I love the f type but I’d rather have the V8 one. For 77,000, you can have a well optioned C7 Z06 or hell, the new C8 you can get well optioned for 77k, pass
Bro with taxes etc ur sownding almost 85k for a beautiful jag with plain black interior with plastic handles, these guys need to steal a page out of aston martins beautiful interior smh cmon jag ur letting us down!!!!!
@@RaitisRides Imagine if one day Ford decide to put special Mustang like GT with Lincoln Continental interior for like 60K. Maserati and other brands will go out of buisness in Gran Turismo market.
Thanks for the laundry list of what not like about Jaguar's 4-cylinder $77K F-Type "Checkered Flag" edition: No manual transmission; 6300 rev limit; horrible Start-Stop technology; cheap plastic interior and handles from a Tata van; too much overly complex electronic tech - dual climate, flip up AC, etc.; glass roof (keep glass roofs on SUVs - never on a GT); qne so much more. One final complaint - the leaper on the back is far too large and the Jaguar lettering is completely superfluous and in supremely bad taste. Jaguar ought to go up market to challenge MB, Audi, BMW, RR and Bentley - not grow the bargain basement models that will lose money with every unit sold. For less money, I could get a base F-Type S.
Ooo I love how sexy this car is! I think it’d be a beautiful-looking daily driver; very classy, simple, and clean. I feel like it would be nice and comfy to ride in, too. Just can’t with that price point😫
I know Jaguars get such a bad rep but I love these bad boys! Still waiting on the new XJ 😎
I know how you feel! As soon as they get it in I will be all over it!
I still don't know the fool that's putting the bad rep out there for Jaguars.I think it's just some idiot that just don't like cats smh

Dave Ramsey: Hell no, honey.
Jags are sexy, but pricey. The rear shows a bit of styling of the XKE. Nice job Joe! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Watching while at work on break when I saw you uploaded a video, I had to click!! Keep up the great work joe!
Thanks for doing that! I really appreciate you making us part of your say!

$80k doesn’t even get you 300 hp?? Nooooooo thank you. And depreciation is insane on jaguars.
Yeah you can get a 2014-15 ftype v8 for like 50-60k already lol

True, even a mustang eco boost has more hp lol
German Z and more reliable
Porsche has 4cly boxster and cayman
300 - 365hp
70k to 106k
I would for one

Definitely pick the jag

I totally agree with you!
Guapo same designer Ian Callum
This Jag is nice. Looks like an Aston Martin and that's not a bad thing. I think you said it has a turbo four? Very interesting.
Needs a refresh ASAP 😂 competition is just too fierce lol. Spend $70,000 on a C8
If you want a badass exhaust tho, no one beats the V6 F-type 😍😍😍
Or Shelby Gt 350
Your analogies never fail to make me laugh lmao
4 cylinder RWD at 80K. Lol. Who would buy this over an M car or RCF. Gutless wonder
I would in a heartbeat
BMW M model can't even beat an ordinary 5.0 mustang

I BOUGHT THIS CAR, IN LOVE
That ...inline-4 (seriously Jaguar?) better be yielding a 50mpg cause otherwise I don't see any other reason for spending 80k on a car like this.
The R35 GTR is fast off the inline 6.But an inline 4 gone be packing some serious speed for just a 4 cylinder
