Ps when you order a decoder, I’d highly recommend adding HORNBY’S powerbank (see affiliate links in the more… tab) as the motor carriage doesn’t have its own pick-ups and relies on a good connection between carriage couplings. I won’t charge any difference with or without and they’re pretty cheap and personally I think an absolute must for keeping that all important wi-fi connectivity that’s needed for Bluetooth app control.
Super model had one for years don't half go ,I have been trying to convince Piko to do a eurostar version but even they aren't doing as much TT as they used to and I think production has switched to China too.hopefully they might have a change off mind.great vid

I bought one of these many months ago with 4 spare carriages, and now have the blue stripe one imminent (UPS keep delaying!!!) Runs incredibly fast on DC with no reliability issues whatsoever. Someone needs to bring out the ICE3 union jack decal to spice up the livery.

It is pronounced pIko not pEko, the Americans always get it wrong. You pronounce the I as an I. It does save a lot of confusion with products to get it correct. Sorry to have been pedantic, as always we do not know what we do not know. Superb job and hope to see it running somewhere at a show. Sounds very nice, having seen and travelled on them it is nice to know tyat the 73 is not a million miles off, perhaps a bit lower sound.
Hello John, I’m certainly hoping a more realistic sound file gets created by Hornby soon, or failing that maybe allow people to upload their own sound files. The sound you here in this video has been taken from a train simulator and is supposed be taken directly from an ICE, of course I’ve got no real way of matching the speed with someone else’s recording, I just added it because anything else currently available sound so wrong. Hopefully that will change in the new year when the next batch of HM7000 sound files are due to be released.

What sound profile did you install in this loco
For now, the only Electric/Diesel that Hornby have, the 73. But by the new year there should be a couple of electric fast passengers like the APT available
Oh did you use the 00 HM7000sound? Been wondering how a 00 sound project would work in a TT120 loco.
@@johndunford6082 tbh I’m not sure that there’s much of a difference. I’ve tried both the 00 & TT A1/A3 back to back and personally couldn’t differentiate between the two.

Hello Dave. I think Osbourne do the best price (see link below in the more… tab) I think you’ll probably need to to pre-order it and they’ll deal with getting it from Piko I guess (maybe via GaugeMaster?)
You can have any sound file that you like from Hornby’s current HM7000 range, but you’ll have to wait till the new year before you can install the an all electric profile. I’m currently using the class 73 as although it’s a diesel electric, at least you get the electric sound at speed.

Now all you need to do is repaint it into the Eurostar e320 livery

Yer agree it’s a real shame! Think he is just in to make money and is not sharing the information shows that, it’s because not for fans, it’s becoming a business channel, not a true enthusiast channel, I will be unsubscribe. He is showing more and more it just about make money for himself not about the hobby. He started so strong but has lost its way.
He is a true enthusiast! He has some very good videos.
It’s becoming more about promoting other companies and his service, that I am sure he is getting kick back from! He would get more followers if he showed how to video like when he started, that all I am trying to say.
He is just showing all of us what’s out there and what possible, I appreciate the information and his videos.
