- I made this clip of the big hit of the rock/pop band from San Francisco Pablo Cruise for fun and because it's hard to find videos of many classic bands like this and also for the good memories it brings me back about my years at school.
People were Cool and Peaceful in the 1970s. I was 13 in 1978. We all had so much fun growing up during that era. In the mid-70s, we listened to '60s and '70s music, and then we got a little bit of music in the early '80s. By the 90s, it was way over, and that was that. It's impossible to explain that vibe to younger generations. Would I go back and do it again? If I could, I am already there.
Don't forget though, there were a lot of sad and emotional songs in the 70's too. I was just a little kid then and they made me sad (and they still do!)
Yeah but then the 80s came with it crime gangs diseases hurricanes
It seemed as though everything was being produced for our enjoyment. Music, skateboarding, roller skating, amusement parks, SNL, Atari, friendships, etc.
We missed out on the muscle car era. 😅
Amen dude the best Era of music ever
I am so thankful I grew up in an era with such good music❤
‘78, 11years old, summertime, riding your bike 50 times around the block, eat your lunch outside with friends, ride your bike to the pool, then you're starving, drop a quarter in the snack machine for a bag of Bugles, run around the block with friends until dinner, back outside to play, maybe a little knock and run? until the one street light came on. I could go on and on,
Kevin Schmitt I know..best times ever.
I fondly remember those days. The only thing that interrupted our fun was our Moms calling us in for dinner. :) We ate & went right back outside! It was much harder to get us back in for the night! Who wanted to go inside?!
For a quarter, you could get a bag of chips, a Hug drink & 5 penny candies or cookies, or an Italian ice & a pretzel from the Italian ice truck.
Miss my Mom, & those fun-filled carefree days.
@@phyliciageorge8909 - you said, "We ate & went right back outside! It was much harder to get us back in for the night! Who wanted to go inside?!" I remember those days . . . now it's all about 'smart' phones and texting, game consoles and angry, dark video games.
1978, I was 8 yrs old. Miss the 70s & 80s so much ! Times were so much better back then. I would do anything to live those days again.😣
@@davidg.6558 Don't forget those social media challenges. I remember when my mom used Tide for washing clothes. Nowadays, biting into Tide Pods is considered awesome.
Man this takes me back! My mom loved this song! She was so beautiful! This song reminds me of her! Rest well mama! I miss you!
Same exact feeling, my mama loved them, and was so beautiful, and I miss her so much
Awww
This song still rocks today! Loved growing up in the 70's!
Such good vibes back then, people weren't at each other's throat .......... music wasn't angry, either ... "Love will find a way!!" ...
I've noticed that anger issue is in the air and in the water . Didn't know it was in the music. Makes me wonder if ppl..date and even have sex anymore or has that been canned also
Yeah, socialistic DemocRATic cocksuckers fucked it all up.
I honestly don't see how the human race has even survived this long with so many mean conniving self-centered
a$$holes in the world. 😳 That said, I LOVE THIS SONG! 🎶
Gigi.....I know.....way too many dicks in this world.
Love Pablo Cruise music
Way too many memories with this song to list. This is when artists played with pure talent, no computers to clean up what they couldn't master. Going to see them in July here in Iowa!!! AGAIN!!!!!!
I was in my hay day when this came out. Best memories of my life. I can see myself putting the 8 track in my 1970 VW and commuting believe or not to Silicon Valley on a two lane road.
Takes me back to the summer of 1978, one of the best years of my life. Thank you, Pablo Cruise!
+DennyYou yesss !! one of the best years for music. 78 started w/ Styx, Kansas, Billy Joel and cool one hit wonders like Dan Hill & Paul Davis, then the summer w/ Andy Gibb, P Cruise, Grease, Rick James, FM-Steely Dan and somewhere near the end were the KISS Solo lps. ohh, and I can't forget Meatloaf- 2 out 3. classic.
Yes, it was quite a summer, never another one like it. 😢
I'll catch a ride on that time machine!
People not the same ...music not the same ...man ...life changed for the worse ...but life goes on and I have to be more positive ...
And one of the best of mine👍👍
The 70s&80s had the best music
You mean the most cheesy discofied music for the late seventies.
For me I think 60's and 70's music was the best
Summer of 78! I was 17 and ready to start my senior year. There was so much great music back then. Riding around in my car with the stereo blasting!
I am stuck in that era of music! I love it still to this day. When music used to be good!!
Hi Dave couldn't have said it better myself, I'm stuck in a time warp and I don't care if I ever get out!
+Dave Nichols Awesome music back then, great times that I miss.
I was born in 79 but grew up listening to this great music from the 70s, yes of course my era of the 80s, 90s, but the industry changed in late 90s after the hip hop, Grunge era, shifted towards a club hip hop, country pop standard seems to be the only two thriving genres since then, so we're not getting these type of bands like this anymore and really the 70s was the greatest era for soft rock bands such as Pablo Cruise I wish I was only a bit older for one reason, it's to have lived during such an awesome decade of the 70s.
+Ryan Fisher grew up in the 60 - 70s
Great era to grow up in J Michael. I would have loved to hear these bands live and they didn't want an arm and a leg for a show like they do today.
I used to love hearing this song on the radio when I was a young girl back in the 70s!
You should cover it.
@@joeballs5669 you got balls saying something like that. Disgraceful man.
So did I. I remember it came out around Summer of 78, and I remember it well because we were moving, and this song played in the UHaul truck.
78 baby I was 9 lol
I still do
Take me to the day when this was on the radio.
Classic song by a classic band. ❤
2021 Sept. Any of us 60 plus folks here grooving to this? Great times back then!
April 2024, 60 plus here. Taking a trip to better days with this song!
Sept 2024 still listening.
January 2025.....STILL GROOVING!!
God! Forgot about this classic- I absolutely love it! Man, at 60 years old I've forgotten more good music than most people know!!!
Highly favored
Definitely one of my all-time favorites
Well .don't forget the good times back then..you gotta hold on to good memories🎶🎶🎶💞💞💞💞
Its funny how I cant remember breakfast this morning.. nit can sing this song
Well put. We who were born in the late 50s were, in terms of music, perhaps the luckiest people of all -- because of the sheer number of great compositions that have hit the airwaves in our lives. 60s _especially._ Quite correct, I've forgotten more songs than the 9/11 Generation has heard in the entirety of their short and inexperienced lives. And on one level I pity them, because all their getting now is computerized arrangements playing the same notes and chords in every track -- if there are even notes and chords. Most of the time it's a synthesized drum and some weird Moog thing goin' on. Voices aren't real voices, they're computer-aided voices propping up what passes for "talent" in this century. I have pretty eclectic musical tastes so the past 15 or so years has been a desert-dry run for new and imaginative songs that reach into your soul and heart and not just into your libido or your inner thug. So whenever I'm parched and in need of good music I go back to gems like "Love Will Find a Way."
Compared to the garbage that passes for music now this is so much better.
Nancy Desch I agree
Me too - I've got the album, 33 1/3.
calling it garbage is a complement for today's diarrhea
You are correct...the only thing the stuff they have on the radio now isn't music it's called trash and it needs to be in the trash can, let's play Pablo cruise instead.
poor you...
Young girl 18 years old, free living with friends and being in love. The best time of my life!
My sister Denise was with the lead singer of Pablo cruise they had a beautiful daughter Jocelyn she is. currently in Portland Oregon she has 3 beautiful children I will continue to pray blessings for her and the children
Good Music, Great Year
I love this song. I used to sing a long with this song whenever it played on the radio.
Born in 1979? You were conceived to this song
My mother raised me on Pablo Cruise, I'm home again.
Summer of 1979 and my first girlfriend broke up with me and I found comfort with this song.
I was a teenager in the 70's. Got married in high school and still married to the hubs! Had 2 sons in the 70's. Now a nana to 3 grandbabies and I am still rockin' in the 70's music. None better.
Great dayz to be alive in...missem
The music of the 70's is second best to only the music of the 60's!Happy i was a teenager in the 70's and was there to hear this and lots more of the best songs of the 70's!Great song by Pablo Cruise!
I'm they says very very young 75. But guess what your Heart can still get broken with a woman. That's why I believe so much in this song. Gary S.
Once a time, it was all about the message, the music and painting pictures with words. Today's music does not soothe the soul, but songs like this certainly do!
This is way better than that panda, panda, panda garbage that's popular today.
Tha Bear...
love will find a way
philaman1972 no doubt!!
I agree with your comment this song is such sweetness to my soul.....❤
Riding my cool ten speed ,around the block ,,,,,, 10 yrs old ,tall, skinny pretty ,little black girl with copper long hair,,,eating penny candy ..crusin on my bike ...and yes black folk love pablo cruise!
I miss the 70s SO much. Sweet memories of both a world gone away now, and most of the people in my life then have gone on....At least we still have the great music 🎵 like this.
If you sit still in your seat while listening to this song.. there is something wrong with you........
8 years old in 1978 and still jam this awesome song in 2019
aaaàaa11qq1qqq
Me too. After this song I'm gonna listen to some of The little river band.
Yeah man.. born in 1972 here
Cant beat growin up in the 70's!! I was i also. Great music, good times and even better..memories👍🍻
I was 18 years , the best of times !!!
I think Pablo Cruise should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
The music of Pablo Cruise was the soundtrack to my life as a teenager growing up in Hawaii🤙🏽
Thank god I was a teenager in the 70,s.................The girls were real, weed was everywhere and it was a happier time in life.
This song brings back great memories from the late 70's. I remember when I was 13 back in 1978, me and a few of my friends were hanging out at the beach chillin and having a great time on a summers day. A busload of underprivileged kids from the Roxbury section of Boston, MA came to our beach to have fun and get away from the horrible reality of poverty in the city. Several Black and Latina girls came up to us, and started hanging out and talking. Here we were, a bunch of naïve white, middle class suburban kids mingling with girls from the projects. We really hit it off, and thoughts of race or economic status never entered our minds, even for a nanosecond. This song came on the radio as we were hanging out, and for some reason I associated the memory of those girls with this song even until now, and I am 55. They were so cool, and I hope they all had great lives, and were able to escape their lives of poverty. Whatever the case, May God bless them all.
God Bless you , Sir!
👍 A great sentiment, great life story👍
The trials and tribulations of this earthly existence are only practice for eternal paradise. If we can’t cut it here together in our allotted brief time slot then eternity with God and our brothers and sisters is unattainable. That’s why love has got to find a way…
I was born in 1962 so this was the summer of my youth ! ;)
Music had such soul back then.I miss it.Give me this and the 80's any day and twice on Sunday.
Best music back then ..always will be
Just saw Pablo Cruise at the Kent Stage, OH. last Sunday. The music took me back to my high school/college days . . . . . their stories between songs were great!! Glad they got back together to tour!!
Yeah. Seen them last year in April in Solvang,Ca. There coming back again. Time to buy tickets.
Cruised in my '72 Monte Carlo to this song in '78!!!!!
I was in my 66 Chevy impala, 4 door, my boat.
Turned this up real high on my
stereo radio in my car with the
windows down !!!!!
i remember blowing a trans late Friday afternoon on I-94 in Michigan towing a bobcat., traffic crazy and when the wrecker driver arrived and hooked we got in his rig and he told me to pick out a tape and i pulled out Pablo Cruise. So funny because he said at the time i was the only person to ever get in his truck and request and know who these guys were. Lots of good music around back then that i still expose my children to!
Absolute pure gold! when rock was blending with jazz and RnB... So many positive good vibe tunes from these guys...EPIC!
Made each of us look at ourselves in a time of youth to adult or Rock to old folks Jazz as at 12 jazz ain’t cool yet but horns started to change your feeling of that. Remember TOP
My friend Shawn Guze convinced me that Pablo Cruise wrote a song called "Penis and a half" and I believed him. In all fairness I was eleven years old.
what i wouldnt do to go back to the day this song came out an relive those days please take me back
I love this song! Who else in 2024?
Me 3 Marry R. I was listening to this 1st. time around in 1978. The beginning of my 11th. grade of school at this time.11.25 am cst USA 10/08/19 TRUMP 2020...
@Drew D'Amico Yep!
How can you not love this song, especially if you grew up during the late 70's. Best music ever!!!!
Me! Pablo Cruz on the radio, surf boards on the roof, heading up Santa Clara Ave., driving over "blood ally" to Santa Cruz. Oh, those were the days !
ME
Brings back memories of 1978. Good memories. Started new job and raising a family with a wife and two sons.
Amazing how music can bring back where you were and what you were doing!!!
...the original time machine- misic!
When i was younger, i always assumed that Pablo Cruise was Tom Cruise's older brother... I'd be honored if some late 70s fans would take a listen to my acoustic piano & vocal performances of WHAT A FOOL BELIEVES by the Doobie Brothers and TIME PASSAGES by Al Stewart on my YT channel in tribute to 2 great songs from the winter of '78-'79. Live acoustic with no digital enhancements. Thanks and RESPECT to the legends.
Definitely true.
Waiting for this one to pop up in a movie or popular tv show so the young ones will post ''How come i never heard this song!?''
How cool was the 70's❤️❤️❤️
Agree the music in this era was some of the best of times . cheers
Walking in Fort Lauderdale, Fl and this comes on my boombox back in '78. Back when I didn't give a shit about nothing at that moment except singing this song and getting where I was going.
Thanks for the excellent video! Love this song and remember it like it was just yesterday and i was still just a young twenty something. Greatest music in the greatest era ever! No wonder we are all still listening to it!
So many good memories. Same with The Litter River Band. I’m not old I’m “with It”
Ahh the seventies, what a time for great music. Just like this.
I miss the 70s so much...I was a kid but I remember my mom listening to this song in the car...I miss those days...and I miss her❤😢
Such TRUE lyrics!!!!💔💔💔 "But its alright, once you get past the pain you're bound to find a love again, SO KEEP YOUR HEART OPEN CAUSE LOVE WILL FIND A WAY!!!"
Siempre me encantó esta canción ❤
The intro...no autotune...fade-out ending...couldn't be more 70's
After a 17year relationship dies this song helped me put my heart back together again
Who wasn’t listening to this at a family bbq in the 70’s?!!! Great times!
Same feelings as a lot of others have mentioned. I was 12 years old in the Summer of 1978. I had started playing guitar the year before. I was so excited about guitar, music, girls, friends, and Summer fun. What a wonderful time that was.
This song is so damn beautiful; I literally listen to it once a day...so much soul... beautiful!!
Oh Yeah .... 1978 ... Wow! ... I can turn up the volume, close my eyes, and go right back there ! ... Whew :) .. What a Summer !!
Thanx for the Flashback
My goodness, do I love this song. Yes to all of the posts of memories from '78, my h.s. graduation year. I even find myself tearing up from the nostalgia that this song evokes. The band's performance is what makes the song great for me. Love Pablo Cruise!
I totally agree Daniel!Growing up in Hawaii the music of Pablo Cruise was always on the radio,Aloha from Hawaii🤙🏽
Such a cool name for a band.
I remember this song...when am Radio stations were KING!!
Yeah and not bought out and owned by one company!
Used to hear it a lot when I drove my 68 Roadrunner with the am 8-track radio in it fortunately I still have the Road Runner
FM really made this music soar, though.
My Good Taste Brought me Here 2021 Still Awesome 🔥🔥
I'm comforted in the knowledge that somewhere, there is somebody whose all time favorite band is Pablo Cruise.
calleaeste junior the band members have mothers...
Hi Junior, I am greatly comforted that you are comforted by that.. My (16yo) bestie introduced me to this Song.. Good times..
@Wise Owl Intuitive Services yeah....me
One Hit Wonder band ! Like Sniff & The Tears " Drivers Seat "
‘78 was a good year in music whether it was rock, pop, disco, r & b, country, you name it. TV and movies were good too! Happy times and I got a purple satin jacket
Pablo Cruise were a 70's staple on am radio. They wrote great songs and had a large fan base back in the day.
+CRAZY TRAIN They didn't have FM in the 70s? I'm not trying to be a wise guy I was just wondering.
+John Herne They had both but FM was just starting get popular in the mid 70's or so depending on where you lived. I am in Fort Laud. and we had about four very good FM stations in the 70's which killed AM radio. Then years later, talk radio was invented and brought AM back with a vengeance.
+Shadowman1965 And Pablo Cruise was very late 70's so FM was in full scope most everywhere by then. No longer needed to buy an FM converter for the car!
+CRAZY TRAIN really makes me want to get up and dance...love it...
WLS 890 AM in Chi-town
brings back memories
I'm 18 again no matter what I was going through when this happy song came across the radio the dancing begin. It still takes me home.

+Daniel Burns this song is the shit man

“Pablo Cruise” just randomly popped into my head, so I put it into the search. Glad I did!
Memories of 1978!
Never grow tired of this generation of music .....skating rink music ....plain and simple ...if you grew up in the south , this generation you learned from this music at the skating rink on the week ends ....loved it !!!!best memories of my life...
It would be great to find a way back to the 70s.
Thanks so much for putting this together. Takes me back to my senior year in high school and Hollover pier on Miami Beach (Collins Avenue). This was great beach music. Great memories of the late 70's. Just cannot get enough of this music.
All of that is familiar with me also. I grew up in Miami. Spent a lot of time on the pier .
Brings back great memories riding around in my '64 Impala SS four speed, rockin some Pablo Cruise. What a wonderful time to be young. I hate being older, but I wouldn't trade being young in the 70's and 80's for anything.
PERFECTLY SAID!!!
So Very True! I wish I could find a time machine and go back to the good days.
Fast Times at Ridgemont High!
At 73, on the days I start not liking being old I remember all my freinds that never got the chance to be!
No doubt!!!
Missing you Sister! Memories live on ! Galveston ( those were the best summers ever)!
Man, I wish I had a flux capacitor for my DeLorean! I’d set the time circuits for around 1978....and keep it there!
My wife wonders why I can't remember what she said 2 minutes ago but can still sing along to all of the songs I grew up with. Baby, I love ya but these are classics!
This song brings back great memories of my Momma (Gramdmother). I miss her so much. This was one of her favorite songs. R.I.P. Lillie Mae McDonald
Reminds me of my Aunt Cheryl. It was 1982 and she was going through a divorce. So we're on the Dan Ryan in Chicago in her silver Olds Delta 88 and she's singing this in the car coming back from Cal City. Good times...And love found a way for her. Husband #3 has been the charm. :)
Ah, the 70's!
The greatest years of my life.
Music makes the world go round.
Peace and love to all!
June 15, 2019.
Yes, indeed. Music does make the world go round🎶
I was 11 when this song was on the radio. Loved it then. I swear it sounds better now than it did then.
Great music!!!
The best Era for music.I LOVE IT!!!!
Great music doesn't die it lives on forever in the great memories we share and have in our hearts !!!
I remember KEZY here in so ca, they would play this music. I wish I could start a radio station and bring all these great memories back!!
Better times, better music. Thanks for posting this excellent "one hit wonder".
Roadie Ric -They also had a big hit with- What you gonna do when she says goodbye
Always takes me back to summer '78 and my iron-on, heat transfer KISS tshirt from Valley Hills Mall...can still remember that smell.
Great song across the board on vocals. instrumentation, orchestration & production. I didn't realize until now how much of a Boz Scaggs sound it has to it. It wouldn't surprise me if there are some cross over players in both bands.
I love those smoothly polished West Coast pop harmonies...This is a perfect oldies number to do grocery shopping by...
This was my first "soft rock" experience back in '78 and I loved it. Helped me to like other groups like Ambrosia, Firefall, Atlanta Rhythm Section, etc.
I remember these old songs, too, from my high school days. While my favorite is Country Music, I do like many of the songs we had in the 70's.... I especially liked the disco music. It actually got young people to learn to dance again. Having grown up dancing, I was thrilled to return to "partner dancing" during those years. Thanks for posting this oldie....
It never gets old, this music and other music from circa 1970's and 80's is the best. Whether it be oldie love songs or post punk, and new wave....Love it! May it live on for generations!
This song was one of those "guilty pleasures" back in the day, and now when I hear it out of nowhere it's like "Wow, that's a great tune".
