Just knowing how humble this guy is makes Soothsayer seem an extension of his empathy and emotion. What he can't express with words his fingers speak instead with an instrumental sign language.
Very well put and thank you for watching my attempt to capture just that! Thank's again and I do have more of this show up on my channel please check it out.
I am amazed at how effortless he makes playing a Les Paul look. He digs sounds out it I've never even imagined. I got to try out Gibson production Buckethead LP. I wasn't sure how or what to play on it. He's got good taste and amazing tone. Many can attempt to play his tunes, but there's no way in Hell. He frets his notes with serious authority. A true freak of nature in the kindest and most artistic way.
This is one of my favorite versions of this song wow, and that's so awesome he let you play, I'd love to see him in person, one of the all time greats forsure. Thanks for sharing 😊
These very emotional songs always get to me. Especially now. Brings tears to my eyes because it makes me think of my dog who just passed away. So many emotions come from a song like this. You get the full range from dread to hope. It's amazing.
Sometimes you'll have to battle hoards of demons and ghosts, and if all you have is music, that's all you need. Buckethead figured this out. I'm on a rollercoaster in Bucketheadland.
oh dude, my dream is to have a conversation with buckethead. trying, perhaps, to comprehend how he sees the world and the things around us, by his way. i would like to have him as my mentor :) dude, thanks by the video. you made my day, better!
Great artist ..really Ozzy told him to play with him at his own band but he refused.!! all the respect to this great man and this song touching really.
Ozzy asked him to take the bucket off his head, ozzy thought it looked comedic and no one would take him seriously. But who would listen to a guy just named Head. like dafuq
LOL!!! I usually go 70 in a 35 mph zone (blaming my right foot for that) while listening to BucketHead! Listening to this I probably would do 140 in a 70 if my old pickup would go that fast! SpecksWorld , GREAT VIDEO!!!!!
Just because you admire the same sex does not make you. That. Just shows you are compassionate and can identify another same sex for there talent and its okay. To love all.
@@treeslayer2275 I love the unnecessary clarification. To be fair, questioning your sexuality is a totally reasonable reaction when you see Buckethead play.
The words just do not exist! I don't know how the hell he takes that guitar and reaches right into your soul with it! The greatest there's ever been as far as I'm concerned.
BOBCAT Biker_Lady YOU TUBE MICHEAL BATIO. TRIBUTE RANDY RHODES DIME BAG. VAN HALEN. BURN BY DEEP PURPLE. BUCKETS GREAT FOR SURE M. A. B. GUITAR WORLD HAS HIM AT #1. NEVER SEEN CEMETERY GATES COVERED. 8 PILLARS. HANDS WITH NO SHADOWS.
Very cool my friend! Missed vids from you, hope you are well and hope to see more soon! Fantastic saves of the Rock and shell kind on earlier vid, they were heart stoppers! Be well!!!
Damn if you watch that needly needly signature lick buckethead does at 6:06 he completely takes his ring finger out of it. Uses his middle finger for both the B and e strings. Pretty crazy having that amount of dexterity to move your ring finger back and forth between two strings on two separate frets at that speed (as opposed to assigning 1 finger per fret). Watch in at 50% speed to get a better view.
Hey there, just wanted to say it's great seeing you putting vids back up, missed seeing your wacky arrow head hunts. Hope you are doing well, and hope to see lots more vids from you in the future.Wanted to say this on the hunt vid you posted but you had comments disabled . All the best from Oregon.
He wuz in Pittsburgh PA not too long ago and I missed him. I will make sure I see him next time. He is way too original to jump into a mainstream act. I know it was probably a big payday and alot of exposure for him but his playing speaks for itself. Keep rockin Speck!!! I will check out your other vids brother.
Thank's again It's kinda strange to watch him playing to a drum recording but once he gets jamming u will shit! This was my first BH concert but I was reedy to see him the next night. Strange in a good way!!! Rock on brother...
Real quick, another vid said he wuz taught by Paul Gilbert. Any truth to that? My friend Freddy recorded an album with Paul and there are some similarities to their playing. If you do not know I will contact Freddy and get him to ask Paul but if you know then I don't have to.
Exactly what I had thought, Zappa would go from song to song interchanging other well know jam's just to fuck around so I think this is what BH is doing here! thanks for checking this out. PEACE
I had the luck of got my older brother's advice of this guitarrist at 18 y.o. Introduced with N. Lace and Soothsayer. I was amazed by the amazing feeling and soulful solos made at his albums. I can't describe wath i feel when watching him playing at some videos. I want Buckethead to visit Perú. Please Buckethead, we need you at South America. We got Linking Park, etc. But you never came to Perú. I never touched or had a guitar teacher before(i play elec keyboard and piano). My older brother bought me one and began to tried his music and took me 2 months to get in the correct tempo and notes of many of his playlist(played by ear) by myself. Thanks to his music i improved a lot my left hand at piano. I just want to hug him and let him know that he is wath i am at the piano right now.
Dude, I watched it again, so sick!! True shredder that can add power, unbelievable fretboard stamina, dexterity and emotion...without showing any..... and no singer necessary. 🤘
What an absolutely extraordinary player Brian is, he is hands down my favourite guitarist of all time!

He always plays Soothsayer a little different each time. What a monster guitarist!
I always assumed that some guy with a KFC bucket on his head wouldn't be worth my time to listen to. How over the top wrong I was! Amazing!!
He blew me away!
at 5:00 I swear you can see his emotion
RIGHT!!!
The pinky is strong with this one...
Wow so glad I watched this...just when I thought I've seen em all ...great one... so intense, he was all in right there.
Brian is a genius of music and guitar. Absolutely incredible. This is a great rendition of his song Soothsayer.
My favorite
To say he's unbelievably incredible is only the beginning !!!!!!! Pure heart felt genius!!!!!!!!!

That's what I heard, Thank's
God Damn...he tore that shit up! Holy shit...the best version I've ever heard of the song.....INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!
This was a night to remember!
The man is truly one of natures greatest gifts.
Him and randy Rhoads are the all time best. This is still a master piece. Flawless and amazing.
best solo guitarist instrumentals I have ever heard
Absolutely phenomenal! The quintessential guitarist!
Pure bliss. His playing is so smooth here and he even puts those accents Between the notes. Amazing
The fingers fuck do they go to work , he makes it all look so easy !
I hear something new in every bucketheads live performanses
Алорин Гендальф The sign of a skilled musician
Алорин Гендальф How can you play Soothsayer without improvising? It's a part of the show I think.
This sure is one of the best versions I’ve ever seen! Wow! I love it!
Thank you!
Found myself going 35 in a 70 mph zone. Holy Schmoly That was awesome. Once again you nailed the cinematography. Can't wait to see more.
Come on, I didn't know if I should look threw the lens or watch the show...lol
Thank's my friend!

His almost robotic movements give him a very unique stage presence.would love to se him live. Thanks for posting speck, dig all of your posts 🤘
Wow I've never seen this message until now yeah what a blast it was craziness and as you can see I was under the bucket ;)
Absolutely insane version 💯🔥🔥🔥
Sad part is he has shared this song so many times for so many people it takes away from it's meaning for him. :o/
I think it's opposite, every time he plays he remembers and mournes aunt Suzie 😞

Very good point. Knowing Brian, I think you are right.
I bet it dont..

Talent hits a target no one else can hit. Genius hits a target no one else can see. Mr. Buckethead learned from the master, Mr. Gilbert.
The becoming the master !
Gives me chills every time, thanks for posting :)

His head is not big enough to hold all his talent. That's why he has to wear the bucket. Sometimes his talent gets hungry for chicken.

Soothsayer!! OMG! Love the Buckethead! Saw him at the Granada in Lawrence Kansas when he kicked off this tour!!
Trying to find where I can see him again soon!
I am thrilled to say that I'm seeing him again March 15th 2018 in Lawrence KS at the Granada again!!!!
Buckethead has successfully found a way to destroy the myth that all the great axemen get all the hot chicks. Lol. He’s amazing.
Right!
He's got a hot chick, Big D, that's his woman. She's the one who dances onstage with him. Watch this: ruclips.net/video/ZV9XCHPLztg/видео.html

Just look up at his "face" the way the shadow is looks so intense. I can only imagine his eyes just staring into the crowd.

hahah .. did not mean to . Last artist I remember was Megadeth in 2015
Bummer but theirs always ZAPPA!!
India has the Mumbai Maulers. And I wish I could see them rack up 200+ rushing yards.
And then you realize he couldn’t possibly even see very well out of that mask.... so the man is playing mostly BLIND!!!
Yes the lights on the edge of the stage is about the only thing he see well ;)
